4 Days Winter Bushcraft in Snow, High Winds and Rain - Canvas Poncho Shelter - Vintage Wild Camping

- 4 days bushcraft camp. Typical weather with snow to changing weather with rain and high winds. White one day and spring the next and back to freezing weather again. But I love this type of changing weather in nature.
You all know my passion for making different kind of saws in the woods. After the third day upgrade I did with the coils etc I reached a roads end. Can't make a better saw than that. It was an absolute delight to work with. I'll probably put my hand on it making a nice finish etc and use it for a while more.
I get a lot of questions how I can eat meat after several days out in the woods. Often it's fridge cold and under outside with a freeze in the nights so no problem. When its warmer you just bring it frozen. If its under 10 C outside it takes at least a day for it to thaw and then you can wait one more day before you cook it. I've done this for 15 years and never got sick.
Thanks for watching!
Bushcraft is a skillset. It's not mandatory as a bushcrafter to go naked to the woods and trying to survive. To do that every week is a unrealistic fantasy. The way I see it, bushcraft skills make hiking and camping more efficient, lightweight and interesting... and not to forget FUN!.
Agree mate.
what noodles do you use for cooking?
your comment is a lot more wholesome than mine, which was,
"......bro...you didnt actually PACK and carry an entire raw chicken with ya, did you? you DID kill it while you were out there, right? wtf is this fake trash?"
but still also true. when i see this, i think its just some nerd boy cosplaying as a bushcrafter.
@@user-zq9xh4rc3c sigh. Some people just don't get what they read.

I've no idea why I like watching these type of outdoor stuff, but they are brilliant.
Thanks a lot Mark!
With you 100%. Maybe it’s because there’s a certain coziness and calm. And the sounds. In spite of the cold, there’s warmth.
Who could ask for anything more?
Peace, tranquillity and time to spend watching Swedwoods.
Thanks a lot!
One of the things I really love about videos like this,is they do without saying. Makes it far more real that way. Done my full share of wildness, and I just carry about what needs to be done also, never mind others.
Yea don't like if a person to much talk.... But just sow aur what they doing that it.
Yes I agree. But For me personally while I was out there in God's creation, I would have to praise HIM as the days and nights went by. I like silence out there in the woods and seem to have plenty of time to listen to what the Holy Spirit has to say. 😁👍
Can't stop watching these. So good... and not just to cool me down on a hot Aussie summer's day. Always enjoy learning new tricks, but most of all....just the 'serenity' and sounds of nature.... My favourite channel by a country mile! 👍👏🍻
Agree with you broo
Just came across this channel. At the beginning I was like, interesting wardrobe, very Viking. Then when he woke up and turned his tent door into his jacket, I was blown away. Genius!!!
Thanks!
What I love about your videos is the practical hands-on bushcraft you use. No nonsense, straight-forward, on the spot solutions to issues that arise. That improvisation to tighten that saw was excellent.
Thank you!!
The peace and calm of being there really comes through with how you shot this. Its so rare these days to enjoy media that doesn't have some kind of music or added noise. My mind is relaxed after watching this
I always enjoying seeing you work with the canvas poncho. I learn something new about it every time I watch your vids. Thanks for bringing us along with you.

You manage to capture the pleasure of cooking a simple meal outdoors. One of my favorite things to do in life is making coffee sitting around a campfire on a winter day. My go to videos. Thank you.
Thank you!
Only one person can improve what you do: yourself. Congratulations and thank you very much for making us enjoy, every day more
thank you!
crafting a Saw, making some stew, the use of nature in all senses.. man you're so in there.
Magiquement....
조용한 밤에 잘 보고 있습니다. 밤에 보면 더 어울리는거 같습니다.
You make me feel relaxed and make me forget about stress.

That was one of my favorite ones sir! The bow saw adaptation, the steak rock, the shelter setup and of course the chicken on a rotisserie! Very nice! Very tranquil. Thank you thank you!🙂
Thanks!
I especially liked the 'rock stove'
and the saw was REALLY impressive to me.
☮
Well worth watching again!
Thanks!
This man a one's own man that full of skills. No need any one, except his own self. 👍
You live thanks to your own self.
And local Tyson factory guy who got his chicken cleaned and prepared in advance.
Great use of tarps and poncho for camp! Food looked delicious! Beautiful area, cold wet weather!
Thanks for taking us along !
Thanks for tuning in my friend!
Очень красиво, леса нашей планеты прекрасны и похожи друг на друга
I love the quiet sound of wild and a beautiful scene of nature, your life is awesome.

It’s like a trip back in time about 100 years it’s a pleasure. And so effortless
Thanks for watching!
It is simply amazing to see all the skills and wisdom played out in the woods. I would love to try camping myself as well. What a beautiful nature out there!
This video is truly a great inspiration to start the day with a strong and optimistic spirit. Wishing everyone good health and peace in all circumstances!
Thanks for another fantastic video. You're so well prepared for whatever you're going to do, and it's a pleasure to watch someone who knows how to use tools. I know I've said it before, but I love the Swedish scenery, it's beautiful.
thank you!
Best bushcraft channel bar none...even after years in the woods I always learn something new here :)
Thank you!
Fascinating to watch. I learnt so much. Thank you. If I may say, I've had taken an onion to stew in the chicken broth, following a recipe passed on to me by my Grandma about 50 years.
Cooking the steak on that rock was pretty cool! Thank you for sharing.
Sweden is just the most beautyful country in the world. I love to go to Sweden in my holidays.
Greetings from Germany.
Which is great for the English, because whilst Swedish men are out pretending to be great at Bush craft, we are performing some real crafts on their wives bush.....
Apparently they even do adult movies for free they love it so much
I suggest go there by electric car , in a winter 🙄🙄
Your videos just get better and better. If you are not able to make a good living just posting these gems, CZcams is ripping you off. I anticipate new posts like most people anticipate Christmas! It is a spot of sanity in an insane world. Thank you, my friend!
Thank you my friend!
Saludos, quería agradecerte por compartir tan buen contenido. Gracias, mis respetos desde España.
Great sentiment. Your reason for being here is the same as mine---Preserving my sanity.
i enjoy those Zen moments where the sunlight is drawn between the trees.
Я так ещё никогда не ржал!)))) Чувак, приезжай к нам на Урал!!!!!
Thanks for another peaceful video...I especially love the longer multiple day and nights...not just setting up and then packing to leave. Thanks and ATB!
Thanks for watching!

What I like the most in these type of videos are different sounds .. Wood cutting, fire burning, cooking and all
Golden chicken over a wood fire, grilled steak with hot coffee to end it. Best part no tv no cell phone no cars just nature at it’s purest.
Wish I were sitting next to that fire as well…that is living at its finest 🙌🏼🕊🌲🌿🌳🍃
I always enjoy watching and have a healing time. Thank you for the wonderful video. Have a happy time. 👍👍💛💛
Thanks!
a man like this dont need government he has him self ...more of us need to be like this.
Maybe I am missing something, but he looks like he needs government and other people to make that saw blade, make the pot, make the non organic: shelter, rainhood, boots, knife sheath, etc. He needs government so that he knows some crazed tribe of people wont come and murder him and his village in the night for all his fancy toys.
Maybe I am overreacting...but we need a government for more than you realize.
All props to his bushcraft knowledge though. I think you are right that we should never lose these survival skills. I doubt I have the fortitude to stay alone in the wild for days on end without someone or a dog to keep me psychologically sound.
So calm and beautiful without any urban noises and useless voices. Only Nature and it's creation.
A master and his craft, a joy to behold 😊
thank you!
Great job on the chicken! When the leg pulls off like that, it's perfectly cooked. On an open fire too. You're my hero.
yeah i know - putting that thing I thought, holy shit this is gonna take all damn day or he's gonna end up eating bloody chicken. but no!
Great respect for your skill set.
thanks!
The true master of Bushcraft! All that you do reflects functionality, quality, respect and love of nature!👍👍👍
Thank you very much!
I love the sound of nature and the calm atmosphere , thanks for sharing 🙏
아름답고 고요하고 평화로운 영상 감사합니다. 닭 구이 너무 좋아요~~~
You do everything so proper and neat. Even sitting there your energy is so good. Thank you I really enjoy your channel.
Beautiful emotional decrescendo towards the end...

Thanks for the video.
Thanks my friend!
Watching your videos more than once over is helping keep me inspired for my January 2023 hiking trip to Sweden - I also watch Erik Normark videos, but he seems to have gone AWOL for a couple of months now...
Parabéns pelos seus vídeos!
Eles me mostram lugares diferentes, culturas diferentes e transmitem muita paz.
Это вы ещё не были в России, один Кавказ с его величественными горами. Чего только стоит!
Good Morning Sir! You have no idea how calming your videos are. I live in an urban area with lots of noise, sirens, and street traffic. But your videos take me away from all that. Thank you!
Thanks!

I am a high school student who likes solo camps in Japan.
Your video made me want to try bushcraft.
Japan has few forests that can be used freely, and it is hot and humid, so I would like to visit your country someday.
what a beautiful place even though it's a bit cold wish you always stay healthy to continue your next journey

@@Swedwoods , when 💩 hits the fan here in the United States, I’ll definitely remember this !
so impressive way of roasting meat on rock, haha, here, we also enjoy that type on flat rock sometimes. thanks so much your art in wild.
Thanks!
Pleasure to watch. Really like that you keep using the Lavuu as shelter and a poncho.
I tend to watch these in the morning as it puts me in a relaxed frame of mind for the day. I love this geezer. I'd like to go to Sweden and learn from this man. Peace
Outstanding woodsman skills! It was only yesteryear I was doing the same thing. Enjoy it now because time flys by! Keep the tradition going! 👍🙏
Thanks!
Glad to see your videos so relaxing reminds me of a simpler time 👌Thank you
Thanks!
Got the urge to head out on the road after this one
Well done and thank you!
As someone who has a honour of eating deliciousss chicken soup frequently, I wouldn't cook this chicken so much. I'd boil this water with cracked bones and perhaps bits of skin only, and added the chicken mean 5 minutes before this soup is ready - otherwise meat is too dry and chewy.
Love your videos, BTW, so... serene, unrushed and peaceful.
Just beautiful. Lot's of work and I thank you for it

Thank you for a fantastic video. I appreciate the time and effort as it has taken me nearly two hours just to edit an 8 minute video. Nice to see you are using a DD Magic Carpet tarp, and the old faithful LK35.
Thanks!
i like this video. Because I like adventure, I love camping and I love winter.
You use chopsticks very well. I'm Japanese, so I was surprised to see chopsticks and noodles. Thank you for the fun video.

Now that's what I call bushcrafting. Great credit to Mors with the bow saw blade inside a pot.

Ole camper here (60yr)
I like what and how you do
Can find little or no faults
nice to watch someone with your know how
The amount of work that goes into these videos does not cease to amaze me. Just for those initial 10 seconds, he had to set up the camera, walk away from it, get back to it, take and bring it forward, set it up again, walk back, and then forward to it - just for those few seconds to use in the intro...I am not even getting started on the rest of the video.
OK thank u.. I like hunting n cooking in forest.
Reminds me of Ed Stafford documentaries
Everyone better appreciate that Dietz lamp!!
Thanks for another interesting trip!

As a field crafter myself I thank you for your work and great vids.
Peace brother.
Excellent bushcraft skills, thank you for showing and sharing your knowledge!

Very cool and really amazing communicating with nature in a purely primitive way using tools from nature without cost or techniques
The most wonderful thing is to live in a calm and peaceful environment
Hello Sir, thank you for all these videos, they are a pleasure to watch!
The sounds, the angles, everything is just superb!
This time of the year, marts and april are the perfect time for open sky camping; No bugs of any kind, yet the weather are still either frosty clear (my favorite) or warm when there is no wind and everything is comming out and lots of birds calling.
When the bazillions of mosquitos and mits (Gnavpander in Danish) comes out, any activity outside two hour before and after sunset and sunrise earns you a medal :-)
You are lucky that you have those huge woods, in Denmark we only have relative small ones, there are almost no places where you cant hear industry or traffic, and you can walk through our largest woods in a day.
Mange Tak fra en Dansker.
Thanks!!
I've been to Denmark many times but didn't know it was so lacking in big woods. Such a shame
