Hiking and bushcraft along the shore of a big lake. Colder temps and saw first snow. Always a great moment.
The Pellet basket I got for like 5-6 dollars at Biltema. It turned into a great platform for some barbecue at second camp. At first camp I tried to put the poncho upside down. Worked good. I find the normal setup I do is slightly better to protect you from rain when you are sleeping but without rain this worked good. It gives a deeper space between your person and the shelter so you can place the backpack inside.
Day 2 I twisted my foot bad. Real bad. The foot swelled up and I could not fit it in my boot without excruciating pain. I managed to get the swelling down in a cold creek the second evening. Went into the sleeping bag with poncho on top. The next morning it felt ok but a few hours of hiking with a backpack in this terrain made it so much worse. I almost gave up and thought about calling for help. Sorry for not filming much but eventually I decided to do the last scenes (had to eat and get energy from coffee anyway) and try to hike back to the car. Without that crutch I made I never would have made it to the car. At home now for two days. Foot is still blue and hurts a lot. But I figure it's not broken since I can barely walk with it. Time will tell.
Been trying to figure out how to manually add subtitles. Can you see subtitles in your language?
Thanks for watching!

Bad ankle yet he still took the time to do “limp away” shots, then go back for the camera. Trooper! Thanks for taking us along, speedy recovery!
Thanks!
Another awesome video. Beautiful country. Hope you're ankle heals quickly. Thanks for sharing brother and God bless 👍
@@SwedwoodsI've done my ankle in and it hurts like fuck you're a trooper.
No doubt eh? Now that's dedication!
That's exactly what I was thinking!!
I am a trauma nurse & Always carry a roll of electrical tape. You can splint your ankle over your sock & it has enough elasticity in it to secure the joint without constricting blood flow. A British Royal Marine taught me that hack & it has saved me on more than one occasion.
Thanks for the tip. I always carry leukotape but I heard you really need to learn how to tape a foot or knee.. or else it will be counter productive
He did make out good the electrical tap is good always have in my kit and my edc good video thanks for sharing

@@safaaosama1789Hey, I think this video is filmed in Sweden 🇸🇪 and there is some wolf and couple brown bears but not a lot. The most dangerous wild life in the Nordic woods is moose 🫎.

and the Oscar goes to.......Swedwoods!
Hope you have a speedy recovery my friend. Another great adventure! Thanks for sharing 🤠
Thanks!

Hey Swedwoods! Not sure if you celebrate Thanksgiving but a happy, although belated one to you & your family.
Not sure why, it could've been the expression on your face around 3:20, but you looked like you were about to have a good laugh at something?
I saw somebody using these things called "gear ties" & I guess they act like overly large bread twist ties that you may see on bread that you may get from the store.
No idea how good these are, how long they could be or much about them but, it looks like they could come in handy for some kind of build?
It was Camping With Steve on CZcams that I saw these "gear ties" on.
Don't know if you ever watch him or not.
Big fan of the both of you!
@@Swedwoods
PS- on 11:49, you mentioned the 1st snow; my area had its "3rd snow" by 11/22, so the day before Thanksgiving.
Weather only gave us 2 to 4 inches but it was that wet, heavy stuff snow that you can easily make snowballs from.
1st 2 times we only got a dusting.
Snow from 11/22 melted away pretty quickly although you can still see some traces here & there.
Nature is simply: it works or not. You will make it or not. We all out there can be prepared or not - in the end of the day the mindset will be the judge: and you saw, you’ve made it! Congrats! Recovering soon I hope and no great video of yours it’s worth to risk health!
I'm so sorry you got hurt you did a great job with self care and you got the video done wow you are awesome, I pray you are doinging well
Amazing video as always. Ankle twist looked brutal, glad you were able to get home safe. Hope you have a quick recovery, mate!
Thanks!
Sorry about your ankle buddy! I know exactly how it feels. I rolled mine 8 months ago and it still bothers me. They take for ever to heal! Hopefully yours goes quicker, we need you out there!😄
I hurt mine last year and if I hike a lot it still hurts
Glad you were OK, that looked painful. A great video as always.
Thanks!
Thank you Swedwoods. When i get notice of you video i know its going to be a good day. Thank you and hope your ankle heals quickly.
Thank you!
I wish you a speedy recovery. Save your pain. And a speedy return.
Thanks!
Yes, I can read the subtitles. I hope that your feet will heal quickly. Take care of yourself, and thanks for yours videos.
Thanks!
Definitely yes. I dream about a trip like this😊
That is most ingenious handcrafted twig stove I have ever seen and a badly sprained ankle. About the only thing to do here is tape it tight and tighten your boots as much as you can. These are slow to heal, unfortunately. I hope it wasn't too far back to the truck. Hope you are feeling better now. I have been able to see English subtitles previously.
Thanks!
As always, thanks for the film, I can see the subtitle in my language now, really nice :)
Take care of your foot, bless it will recovery quickly and well!
Thanks!
you'll be back in your element again in no time.
thank you for bringing us all along your greatest travels
Thanks!
Hi my gentle giant I enjoy you're vids so much. Yes sprains are hard to heal. I shattered my ankle this year that's even harder to heal. Keep ice on it you need to let it rest some.
Hope to see you camping in the afternoon you heal.
Take care of yourself 😊😊
Thank you!
Love the pine in spout to catch coffee grinds
i hope you'll recover soon ,Thank you for the great work you do, I always enjoy watching your videos...Greetings to you from Algeria

Hello my friend

It was a good video and the Mushrooms omg you know how much I love them. Your food Everything looked really good. I hope to see you soon again make sure u heal fast then many people wait for your videos. All the best 👍
Thanks!
I feel so bad seeing you hobble.
Thank you for enduring the pain and seeing the video through.
Hope you are resting comfortably.
Thank you!
So sorry you got hurt…pray you have a speedy recovery ❤️🩹!
Thanks!
That foot looked really sore but you Soldiered on...Beautiful peaceful ending suggesting all ended well...
Thanks!
Adding to my earlier comment-this is an excellent example for us all. Accidents can happen to anyone at anytime. You must have emergency gear and a strategy in place before you leave the safety of your car. Just because it hasn’t happened to you yet doesn’t mean it won’t. That sort of viewpoint is normalcy bias-and that will get you in trouble. Always have plan B. Mr. Swedwoods had a means of calling for help if necessary and we should all do exactly the same. Thanks so much for your sharing your experience-good and bad!
Yes I had severe accidents when I was younger. Always got phone and sattelite beakon with me First aid etc. Thanks
Your videos are of great value to me. I save them all and revisit them. Thank you very much. ❤
Happy recovery. 💪Keep yourselves. 🙏
Thank you!
Старина скорее выздоравливай. Смотрю все твои фильмы.✊

You have what they call Grit, thank you for the video’s, may your recovery be swift and complete.
Thanks!
Życzę szybkiego powrotu do zdrowia.👍💪😍
Thank you!
in those frozen-autumn days - it is appropriate video ! Thanks!
Thank you!
Thank you for this enjoyable viewing. May God heal your feet
Thanks!
I hope you are well...I wish you a good recovery ....beautiful video as always....greeting from Algeria
Thank you!
The subtitles are in English here in the US. A doctor once told me that I would rather my foot was broken because sprains were so painful and slow to heal. And he was correct-it took a long time. Be patient and do what your physical therapists says and you’ll be fine.
What Subtitles? Swed rarely speaks in his videos altho in a couple, he played guitar??
Good boots saved the day it could have been worse get well soon 👍🏴
Thanks!
Thank you for adding the Japanese translation ❕ I can enjoy your videos even more ❕
Answering to your question, yes I read the subtitles in English. Beautiful video as usual. Take your time to heal, rest.
Thanks!
Мой любимый канал о выживании в дикой природе! С нетерпением жду каждое видео! Надеюсь, с ногой все хорошо. Выздоравливайте! ❤

Excellent Video as always, I wish you a speedy recovery. Excellent skills and tasty looking grub. Really liked the twig stove grill . I will be looking forward to the next video.

Another great video brother! Congratulations!!!👏👏👏👌
Thanks!
WOW! That sucks, Brother.😮 Hope you can recover quickly.
Thanks!
Same thing happened to me once, but I was so fortunate to have company.
Oh , and always try to cool the spot ASAP, so that you keep the swelling within limits.
Get well soon!
Thanks!
Calm and relaxing high-quality video. When disaster strikes, your skills are enough to keep you alive. Great wilderness survival!

Not easy getting hurt bad and so easy to do. I'm older at 68 and time will tell but it takes forever to recover at times. Glad you made it back in. Get better. It will take a long time to get full strength back. Ease back in and keep the stress low.
Thanks!
What we just witnessed, should be an inspiration to all of us.
After suffering an ankle injury, took the time to set up a camera and limp back-and-forth. Badly hurt yet determined to get the shot. WOW!
My father told me never to tangle with a Swede. They are some of the toughest people on the planet! 🇸🇪
I have a new respect for you Swedwoods, and I sincerely hope you feel better.
Thank you!
Thanks for sharing, Glad you made it out. A real Mans MAN! Speedy recovery friend.
Thanks!
Your videos are good for my soul and offer such calm as I struggle with PTSD and anxiety. The woods have always felt like home to me. Thank you for bringing them to me through your videos.
Sorry to hear about the ankle, I wish you a speedy recovery and feel better soon!
same here + loneliness , I'm a foreigner in China.
Thanks!
You are a hero and a creator who deserves support. I have been following you for more than 3 years from KSA. It is okay, God willing, and I hope you will be better.
Sometimes the journey home is long…sometimes things turn out that way. Hope you are well. Another great video…thank you.
Thanks my friend!
Hallo, sei gegrüßt! Top Video trotz des Unfalls. Ich wünsche Dir gute Besserung und Erholung, bis bald! 👍👍👍👌🙋♂🙏

The best part is the cooking and eating part, I find that so relaxing to watch.. as always love your videos sir..also take care of yourself ✌🏼
Thanks!
Speedy recovery my friend . And thanks for showing. We all have tumbles it shows how we adapted and over come the problems.
We love the things you do! Thank you and stay healthy!
Thanks!
Hi #Swedwoods. I'm glad I read your description first so that I knew your injury was coming. As most others have written, I too hope that you have a speedy recovery! Regarding the stunning scenery, my favorite shot this time was when you were roasting the bacon-wrapped sausage and focused on that dead standing tree for a while... beautiful!
May you and yours have a wonderful season of Holidays.
Thanks a lot my friend!
Good afternoon, friend! Maybe the shoes have a stiff sole. I myself like to wander in the woods, but in boots with wide but soft soles. I also sprained my foot once in hard-soled boots. It was all right. Check for x-rays to make sure there are no cracks. Most importantly, get well. You have beautiful videos with great nature! I watch your channel all the time and wish you great creative success! 🙏🌲🌳
Thanks!
Take care of yourself. Ankle injuries can take awhile to heal. Especially if you keep putting weight on it. Thanks for persevering and completing the video.
My friend, how I miss you and your days in winter. You are a person who has memories every winter between us. We love you very much ⚘❤
Thank you!
Every time I wait for your videos ❤
Thanks!
Sorry you got hurt my friend. It was impressive that you still were able to tough it out and finish the three day trip with a injury.
Thanks!
Great video ! Get well soon! And be healthy!
Thanks!
Shit happens. Top camera work even when injured. What a madman! :D Get well soon.
Thank you!
Great Camping Adventure !! Beautiful Location. I Wish You A Speedy Recovery. Take Care.

Great video. Please take care and give that ankle time to heal. Will look forward to the next
video - after that ankle recovers fully.
Thanks!
Thanks Mr.Swedwoods for this nice Video! You made my Day.
Everytime I enjoy it!🔥🐶
Thanks!
Thanks for this amazing video and the effort in making it, imagine having to limp back to fetch the camera after filming that clip. Correct me if I am wrong, but that thumbs up is the first interaction to camera that you have ever done, I think it showed your utter relief that your ankle was not broken. You are a true survivalist. 👍👍
Thank you!
I am sorry for your injury, so painful. Hope this recovers fully. Makees me hurt seeing this, ouch.
What a great video. Starting as usual as I like it. And then this accident! But you go on. I know it’s not easy to do videos like this. You are a strong man.
I see the subtitles in German. Great work!
Thanks!
This guy is amazing! I just stumbled into your channel Man! I can't wait to see them all!. You really, trully have alleviated alot of my anxieties as a beginner in this field,, and seeing all these other complicated "my hands in the air" channels. I was thinking I would never get there. You sir make this so relaxing and simple. I believe i may have a chance at this to learn from you sir, and teach my boys. Thank you !!!
My mind aways wanders , when I'm watching your videos , I didn't see what happened , even though I went back as far as the drone shot .( I'll go again )
My mlnd wonders because , I'm almost in a trance , your videos make me feel like I'm in the wilderness , and walking in heaven on Earth .
A good trip despite the injury! I hope it is better now. Sweden is a beautiful country 🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪!!
Палец вверх не глядя. Привет.
Thank you very much!
Good improvised crutch.
To your question: German subtitles work perfectly. Video description below the video reads and sounds quite good.Thank you for your effort! Krya på dig! Kom snabbt på fötter igen!
Thanks!
أتمنى لك السلامة صديقي العزيز ولأنك تملك الخبرة الكبيرة استطعت التغلب على مشكلة حادث القدم .. تحياتي لك من السعودية 🇸🇦🇸🇦
Thanks!
Watching from Philippines ❤
great camping👍👍☺
Thanks!
I salute you for putting in the foot footage. As well as painful, the post-accident embarrassment must have been intense. But any hiker who says he hasn't banged himself up once or twice is a liar.
Injured and alone in the vast wilderness, the sense of anxiety is overwhelming in ordinary people. Taking matters into your own hands, crafting a makeshift cane, and continuing the camping journey is truly remarkable. It serves as a valuable reference for unforeseen circumstances. I'm really looking forward to more amusing footage in the future. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
Thanks!
I was watching the moon in the same phase a couple days ago. It's hard to imagine you were struggling through the woods on that same day. I've seen lots of bushcraft tricks, but a bushcraft crutch is a new one. I hope you're recovering well! Thanks for taking the time to setup the camera for each of the shots in spite of the pain it must have caused. You're a legend, good sir.
Thank you!
You are one of the smartest, most creative bush-craft content creators on CZcams. I've learned so much from you, thank you.
thanks!!
Thank you so much - professional to the end - still doing shots & going back for camera!
Hope you get better soon - take care, cheers
Thank you!
Thank you for this video. OUCH! I had a slight sprain when I was about 14 or 15 years old. Misery!
Rest up, treat it right, heal well and quickly. Blessings your way.
A great video despite your sprained ankle! Get well soon. Thanks.
Thanks!

Great content, buddy! As always, everything is majestic, professional and magnificent images of Scandinavian nature. Good luck!!
Thank you!
Супер видео) спасибо ❤ Желаю Вам скорее выздороветь и быть ещё сильнее!
Thanks!
Hi, it's very extreme bushcraft, you real man, thank you very much!
Thanks!
The subtitles were not displayed in the local language, but this may also be due to my settings.
As always, a great, relaxing video and of course far too short.
I wish you a speedy recovery so you can get back to your natural habitat. Luckily it seems to be just a sprain. Good, strong shoes are worth their weight in gold. If something had been broken or torn, the pain would have set in immediately.
Thanks!
I sprained my ankle so bad at 10 years old I was on crutches for 2 months. The doctor said it would have been better to just break it. I feel your pain. Hang in there 👍🏻
Thanks!
Будьте осторожны и скорейшего Вам выздоровления! Спасибо за Ваши видео!
