    The thing about H&k firearms is that they're so expensive! Anyone who has ever owned one will testify to that.
    The other thing about H&k firearms is that they are WORTH EVERY PENNY!

      @Focke Wulf I have as well. I have "torture" tested 4 VP9's. Dirt, mud, ice/snow, wet, dry, etc.. They are actually much more reliable than I expected them to be. Only failure I could ever get from them was after being completely buried in mud to the point that they locked up. I'm confident that no other pistol would have made it throuh what I did to those pistols either, so I honestly feel sorry for all the people who won't own a VP9 because of a youtube celebrities "test". Those some people will go buy Glock all day, every day though.. even though there are tons of videos online of factory Glocks choking in dirt/mud/water. Oh well, more VP9's for us.

    Purchased my Masada because it fit my needs, being left handed. Never in my wildest dreams that what I purchased was a gem. Complaints about the trigger and the sights was a non issue for me, recoil was next to nothing and the plus is the fact that it’s optics ready, truly an unbelievable handgun.

As an M&P fan I felt a little jealous that this gun had a (in my opinion) better trigger and all the features from the M&P OR that I know starts at least $100 more. Incredible value- I'm really glad you did this comparison.

    I bought a p30 sk a year ago. Night sights & 3 mags for $599. What justifies HK prices are polygonal barrel, German quality, every HK is not only test fired at factory but also sighted in. Mine was spot on at 10 yds. They are also very smooth shooting due to dual stage recoil spring and fitted like a glove. HK you will not guess or be disappointed. Also love the paddle mag release once you try it...

    About a year ago I shot a VP9 for the first time. It was the first time I was happy with how ANY striker fired handgun felt and fired. I bought one. Then I bought a VP9SK. I have several handguns but I carry the VP9SK and VP9. I have one manual of arms to train to. The choice of which to carry depends on my wardrobe. The Masada may be a good pistol, but I don't see myself changing from my HK VP series. I have been tempted by the Sig P365 series, but I just like the HK VP9 and VP9SK.

    If I were in the market today, I"d give a lot of thought to the Masada due to cost/ value difference but I already have (and love!) both a standard VP9 and the SK variant. Where I live, it's been an absolute buyers market for a few years now such that trades are not fiscally wise. Bottom line is that I really like my VP9 and it's already paid for so I'll stick with what I've got.

  • @steveo85
    @steveo85 Před 3 lety +3

    The Masada is rdo ready, reliable, affordable, shot a tighter group in this video, has an excellent trigger (subjective, but most youtube reviewers agree just like this video), has a removable chassis, polygonal rifling (vp9 does too), nice low bore axis, and so on... VP9 has finger grooves, has HK stamped on the side, is heavier, has HK stamped on the side, had a bit of trouble with the gauntlet stress test, has HK stamped on the side, has aftermarket magazines available (maybe I’m odd but I have always stuck with factory mags), has HK stamped on the side, and has cocking ears. I feel like the Masada dominated. Both excellent guns but damn, the Masada is a hell of a gun for half the price. When I was younger I saved for a long time to buy a usp40. It was fine but not the religious experience I thought it would be for the price. So I can definitely see the young man’s attraction to the HK mystique, but damn it was disappointing when I shot and liked my friend’s g21 much better. Bottom line, rent and try as many as you can to figure out what works for YOU and forget about price/brand when you are dealing with top tier manufacturers like IWI, Beretta, Glock, Sig, FN, HK, Smith, Q, (:

    You just can’t beat HK German engineering! I still have and will never sell it my trusted HK P7-M8. As for IWI, they are in the same ball park with quality an reliability.

    I added Talon grips on my Masada, perfect solution to the way it feels in your hand. A truly fine piece of equipment.

    Never heard of IWI, but I have a VP9. Very comfy grip. I really like the backstraps and side panels it comes with. I actually mix-and-matched the different panels so it's slightly fatter on one side to help with my wonky hands and grip :P

    I believe a better match up would be the Canik tp9sf elite vs. the Masada. Closer in price and function.

      @@reachblowsdick7222 yeah, I tried three different grips/stance and gave up, lol. Never happened on any other gen glock or any other pistol I've ever owned until I bought a glock 19 gen 5 and 19X.

    My brother has a VP9 ($580-700) after shooting it, went to the gun store to buy it. Saw the Masada ($420 out the door). Both shoot THE SAME. MASADA for the WIN. With the $ saved added a Vortex Viper $200.

    I guess perhaps I am a bit Promiscuous when it comes to firearms. My first love was a Walther P99. But that opened my eyes to the common cliché that variety is the spice of life. I'm no hippy, nor a war monger. But I now have a firearm harem and it just feels right. Firearms are useful tools on so many levels. I wish more people could open their minds to that and stop being afraid.

    My Masada shoots low when sights are right on...then I noticed hickok45 said the same thing. I don’t know whether to try different sights or buy a red dot which seem very expensive. Has anyone resolved this?
