I agree. If a product is great I try and just show it for viewers to decide. If it’s crap I let them know. If I really really like it I let them know but for them to just decide if it is right for them.
The moment you compromise your moral compass for profit is the moment your content begins to die. Thank you for calling them out.
That's what i love about your content, no dodgy stuff. Just pure content for the viewers. Good stuff highlighting this kind of dark side to some promotions
Thank you for this! As a new CC in the photography space this is a real eye opener. Thx
Well done Henrik. These companies are slow to realise the damage they are doing.
Henrik,it is not just Consumer drones etc. The number of “Influencers” has grown beyond belief. There are some those who cover Cruises and vacations but are not only being paid a fee but also receiveing the product and services at the top end at no cost to them selves but the other ‘customer” are bearing that cost for their lifestyle. It is time for thse who engage with these influencers to realise that to some it it is a lifestyle choice and the accounts they provide for the goods and services may not be dependable! Well done for your stance!
I appreciate you putting this out there. People supporting trash companies and trash products is becoming a pandemic.
Seeing honest CZcamsrs being attacked for telling the truth about things, like the Rabbit R1, was the last straw for me. These scammers are essentially stealing from people and should be prosecuted accordingly.
As per our conversation Henrik, total shame as they didn’t need to do this as the Hover x1 i genuinely think is it great product - they should have let that do the talking
I agree it actually does what it says on the tin
Thank you for your integrity Henrik. I always enjoy watching your videos. Cheers, Bob
Makes me think at a song from Patti Smith: "People have the power". Nice one, Henrik!
I think that what you did is great and a good example of a true CZcamsr. Like most people, we look up on CZcams for a product before watching, but it's usually small details that are swept under the rug but may influence the products performance. Although, i am just a very small channel with rather different content orientation, in my reviews, I avoid telling people to "buy" it regardless of the fact that i bought and there's nothing sketchy. Sometimes it's hard to make sure it covers the features of people's interests so i instead test the features and try to present accurate details (wich is easier for scientific equipment or measurement devices using a comparison).
I totally agree with you Henrik, well done and I'm happy you made this video.
Integrity first, honest feedback on the product in both ways (good or bad) and you should be paid, as you invest your time and skills to create the video.
Fantastic video my friend, it's great to see reviewers like yourself exposing this, these companies are just trying to con viewers into buying their products, great to see you mention camera conspiracies love his channel, it's a shame all tech reviewers are like you, and have moral high standards, alot of people rely on these reviews to make their purchasing decisions as they are not as clued up when it comes to tech, well done for putting this video out 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for sharing all the back and forth behind the scenes. Your videos are very "real" and that is why I enjoy them. I appreciate you integrity, and of course your Vette also, ha ha.
Interesting. Ken had one of these in a video, but I didn't watch it yet. Now I need to go watch that one, and see what happens...
Great video. Love this transparency, makes clicking the subscribe button so easy!
Welcome aboard!
Knowing whether cash has changed hands, or products are donated free, is essential information for the viewer to know and assess. Well done in not taking the forbidden fruit 👏
Hey, unfortunately the people in the engineering, design, and production have little connection with the marketing people. The marketing people are solely focused on SALES SALES SALES, and often are clueless to the real benefits of the design/production teams focus and attitude. It’s the same in wireless (cellular) services. Marketing got for sales, and have no idea if the networks can handle what they’re trying to sell. Good job Sir! Keel telling the TRUTH…as there is only one of them!🇺🇸
Very pleased to hear of your morals towards this type of "promotion". Reviews need to be honest other they are pointless. Sponsorship / payment needs to be stated - that's the law in many countries. Keep up the good work!
Thank you Henrik for sharing this information. I like how honest you are.Your moral compass is working well. I've seen the pattern for example hoverx1 and action cams. I understand everyone has to make money, but I don't agree with lying to people that a product is not sponsored when it actually is. I don't even think that is legal. Either way, I like how you handled it and said something about it. You're awesome Henrik.
Respect and THANKS a lot for such a honest view backstages!
AND lot of greetings from the sponsored, sponsored second white colored sponsored Hover X1, now flying in Switzerland.
She already made a flight in our classroom. The schoolgirls/-boys where very exited to see hovering around this drone. I offered them to fly out of the classroom door to see, if somebody is around. It was a lot of fun!
To the topic: As a viewer of a CZcams I just think people are very well aware that‘s related to some sponsoring. It’s not really my generation, but publicity invested in influencing through people using social media is quite common. Even if not there’s a strong believe it’s anyway.
Awesome you put it to good use
You've always been honest in your reviews, hence why I watch your videos. Integrity is a rare thing with many YT channels 👍
Superb Henrik. Dishonesty will never win-through - and they can't see that. Business integrity is everything in the long-term.
Your approach is 100% agreeable.
Well, that explains it, Henrick. I watched a video by a content creator to whom I subscribe. He was comparing the Hover X1 to the Mini 4 Pro. It immediately struck me that it was like comparing a VW to a dump truck. Very little in common. Both were good at what they were designed to do, but not at all in the same category. I can see that, if you were depending on income from your videos and received an offer for that kind of money, it might be hard to say no. Thanks for maintaining your high standards.
Thx for sticking to your integrity. Cheers from Lolland.
Mange tak :-)
Thank you for sharing this eye opener. Nighnight!
Well said.
Well that certainly explains the sudden number of Hover X1 v videos, such as DM Productions latest...
Know you know why
@@TECHDRONEMEDIA And given the payment amounts that have been disclosed, good money can be made each week with just 2 or 3 videos, *IF* you are prepared to play their game :(
Just watched a video by Air Photography (2 days old) where he compares the x1 to the m4p but there’s no mention of it being sponsored etc. is that a coincidence????
I always find it really endearing when non native english speakers with language skills better than most of the natural population, make little mistakes like "pur-chasing" something. It is like you are speaking our language more accurately and correctly than we do 😂 Not a criticism BTW, your english is impeccable.
Thank you
Thank you for keeping the tech companies honest - 80% of CZcamsrs will simply speak of all the positives to support the product even if it's not true - essentially they have sold their souls for money. Good on you for maintaining your moral compass.
Panasonic did not invite reviewers that had something to say about their cameras that they didn't like.
I had a bad feeling when watching reviews of the DJI OSMO ACTION 3 (and 4) cam(s). Most videos were all to positive, and scared me away instead of atracting me. I still needed a camera, so I searched for and found some bad reviews, but usually not by the same channels that only were positive. So those channels are now in my "do not recommend channel" list.
I ended buying the ACTION 3 camera anyway, expecting it to have flaws like overheating and bad focus. Well the focus was good (since mine was not the first generation), but it did overheat and shut down while being tested in front of me after 25-30 minutes. Found out it was due to an EU rule about max temparature, and that the shut-down-function could be turned of via a text-file in the root of the SD card. So I placed the text-file on all my SD-cards and it worked perfectly for me at the 3 day event where I needed it to work.
But... I learned a lot about not trusting those youtube channels, where everything they said were too positive. Glad your channel is not like that, and happy for this video. So keep up the good work Henrik.
Buna! De la ultima actuallizare nu mai pot face poze in modul Hyperlapse...va rog, o solutie...Multumesc!
Henrik in rage mode. So funny and nice to see. That's why we love you, bro! Well if they want to give you money without notice then they can use this..... Starts with a "p" and ends with "aypal" or "atreon". There is nothing about saying that a vid is sponsored. Its ok. Dunno what they are afraid of. It seems that the marketing guys dont know the customers and their own products. And about the Hover drone.... I think the product is well designed for dullies who dont wonna care about real flying. It should be easy to use right out of the box... and thats the problem: It's still a drone so all regulations apply... insurance, registration... . So no out-of-the-box. People would more use a 360 cam on a stick to simulate drone shots, cos thats easier... no insurance, no registration. Tbh, yes its a cool product, but has no real audience. Thats the reason why people may not buy it, they are smarter than than those marketing guys. 😎
Unfortunately many companies do this kind of thing and it is really sad and especially many of the Chinese can be somewhat aggressive in their way and conduct marketing🤔
I saw Jevon's issue and agree with you: Being honest is more important than making money. I have a hover and think it's great at filling gaps others can't. I can throw it in my bike bag and capture follow selfies that others can't. It smashed into a tree once and didn't blink. No smashed props to replace or damaged gimbals. It's not going to replace a DJI, but hey don't need to be deceitful, they just need to be HONEST about what it does and doesn't do.
Kudos to you sir for my selling out! I believe many others would for $1000-$1500.
Thanks for this honest video!
Love how you start by removing the company name - but later in the video you show it several times 😀
As someone who watches you regularly you’ve always come across as trustworthy so it would destroy your business to not remain honest and fun. However some of this marketing is ruining CZcams and the companies are in danger of destroying a great platform they can tap into to sell their products. As usual greed kicks in and takes over. It could be the beginning of the end as people see through it (which they are). Hopefully not for a long time as content like yours is what it’s about!
Respect!
It’s not just the ethical problem of CZcamsrs shilling for companies instead of being honest about their review. It’s the fact that not disclosing a paid review is actually unlawful in many jurisdictions. You don’t want to land on the wrong side of government regulation for the sake of a thousand bux. Not worth the hassle.
I like how you made literally close to zero effort to hide the agency name 😂
You missed covering the ad agent name the second time it's on screen btw, starts with the letter P. 😉
Love your honesty.
Always!
Is ken heron's labled I wonder? I just watched that video. lol
The Chinese do this in all sections of youtube, It is also rampant in the trekking / camping parts of youtube. It's sad because you become a fan of a youtuber help them grow then feel like they misleading you once they sell out to these companies. It makes a viewer / fan feel like the person of which they are a loyal fan is being dishonest with them trying to sell them junk, which actually hurts a little, it is a sort of betrayal of the people who make them a success in the first place.
Just so you know, you can still read the name of the agency where you've tried to put a line through it. Still, thanks for your honest video.
This is so silly. It seems like a decent product (at least I'm considering it right now) so there's really no need for any dishonesty. There's nothing to gain but only reputational damage. It's fine to pay a reviewer to review something as long as you're upfront about saying so because then everyone can judge what they think of the review.
Thanks for your integrity here, as a potential customer I appreciate this (also I've now followed you based on this alone). Cheers.
Taking payment from a company to review a product, knowing that the product isn't that great to begin with, is also morally wrong.
Henrik, I believe that you have mistakenly left the name of the agency in the video
Properly, can you give me a timestamp - I don’t it matters I have written agreement with them
4.18 I believe
Yes I agree with you Henrik - great video
If their marketing is deceptive, why not their engineering?
Good for you , time for other creators to have some morals , as for the Drone , it is too expensive for what it is .
integrity
👍👍👍👍👍
Shameful but I love my Hover X1. Perfect compliment to my DJII drones.
She is working at Pingworth Agency, obviously. (If you hide it, keep it hidden ;-) )
yes ;-)
Keep being you. Need more people with morals. Good expose of a company. I will never pay the scam company for a HoverAir propaganda toy.
Stfu! Yea or no ? Product good or bad !
Get to the effing point!!!!!!
Hello, i want to take my drone, to holiday, but i fly with wizzair they not allowed take drone, what do you think ?
