  • Cookbook Recommendations | Half Baked Harvest Super Simple // Looking for new, healthy recipe ideas? I’ve got you covered.
Today I’m reviewing Half Baked Harvest Super Simple by Tieghan Gerard. Super Simple?! Sign me up. With that promise, you know that I had to try this cookbook for you.
    stand out recipes include:
Thai Basil Beef - flavourful and super simple
Baked Coconut Curry Meatballs - genius cooking technique
    Lemony Halibut and Chickpeas
    Swirled Banana Bundt Cake
The recipes were super simple as promised. However, the desserts take more skill and effort.
I recommend this cookbook for folks who eat meat and poultry, The vegetarian recipes were the weakest in the book.
Watch the video today to find out if you should add this book to your cookbook collection.

I loved Half Baked Harvest…. I have both cookbooks but SS is my #1.
The waffle/pancakes mix, stuffed shells, creamy gnocchi soup, ricotta toast with honey roasted grapes, and pressure cooked mashed potatoes are like my go-to staple recipes. I have probably made them at at least 15 times each since I bought the cookbook in 2019.
Cacio e Pepe Brussel Sprouts, White Wine Braised Chicken with Artichokes and Orzo, Chicken Tinga Tacos, Ginger Apple Pork chops, and Autumn Harvest Salad are also some of my rotation recipes.
The Sage Chicken recipe was one I slept on because the photo was plain but man, major regrets. That recipe was REALLY good. Thai Basil Beef was delicious and surprised me at how much I liked it.
This is like a holy grail cookbook for me obviously. Lol. 😂

ooh, it's so great when you find an absolute go-to cookbook! With the season changed here, I've been thinking of trying the Autumn Harvest salad and Ginger Apple pork chops. Thanks for the recommendations.

I have this cookbook and I don’t find the recipes to be quick either. And I made that artichoke Mac and cheese and it’s a no from me. It wasn’t bad by any means but wasn’t great. The cheese sauce could have been a lot better.

This is a great review, thank you Kristen! Even though some of the recipes are not quite so simple as you say, it's worth adding the cookbook to my collection.

I agree. It had a solid variety - from quick and simple to a bit more work.
