- Starting a new multi-part shootout/review of these 4 mini-oscilloscopes. In Part 1 we go over the specifications and first impressions and give the scopes an interim rating. In upcoming parts we'll look at each of the scopes in operation see how well they work and see if those specification hold water. If you want to buy one of these links are below.

Attenuation and input voltage ranges info would be nice. I can see the DSO154pro has 1X at +-40V and 10X goes all the way up to +-400V which is insane. I can combine this with a basic DMM and surpass the capabilities of a high end Fluke DMM for some pocket change.
Nice idea!
I believe the connector is called an MCX.
Thanks, you're right! With about 100 different RF connectors out there it's hard to keep track.
this was really thorough, thanks
Glad it was helpful!
Highly detailed review. I like it a lot!
Much appreciated!
Hi, maybe can you add the SCO2 scope, its like dso154 but 2 channel. And the dso2512g for complete the picture...
Maybe we'll do a 2-ch scope comparison in teh future sometime. It would be unfair to directly compare 1-ch to 2-ch.
I got the 154pro based on a low price and a gut feeling !! seems so far I made the right choice, I think I know whats gonna win but not going to spoil it ....cheers.!
Cheers!
Nice comparison so far. I only own the 154pro and I'm not even close to a scope expert but I really like it and maybe they can fix some of the minor issues with a firmware update. Edit..I just checked to see if mine turns off when I plug in the usb c cable and it doesn't. I'm not sure but maybe mine has either newer or older firmware than yours or something else causing it to act differently.
Interesting. I'll see if there is a way to check the firmware on mine.
There is no way I can see of determining the firmware version or indeed updating it. At least nothing has been published yet.
@@uni-byte I was just checking the same thing myself and I can't find anything either. I might message Zeeweii and see if they have any firmware available and instructions on how to update it. I'm not sure but maybe there's a difference in the hardware that makes one act differently over the other. I'll take mine apart later and upload pictures of the board somewhere.
I bought mine from what seems to be the official Zeeweii store so I just sent them a message on Aliexpress. Hopefully they will answer but I'm not holding my breath..lol
@@percaine I put a question about memory depth on their website contact form and they did not respond, so good luck!
The 154pro is the way to go. The bandwith is pretty important if you are troubleshooting even an old 8 bit computer. Fnirsi makes nice products from what I have owned. They are overrated though. The 1014d I bought says 100mhz on it but is really a 30mhz scope. That isn't an issue for my needs though.
Yeah, the 154Pro is really the only one that can be used with digital electronics. We will check to see if it meets it's specifications.
My 154 pro just came in the mail. I have a couple of the dso 138 but now im trying to get used to the 154 pro. I do like the fact it's better in signal quality than the dso 138. Is there a eay to reset Back to factory settings? Any reply appreciated cheers from Australia subbed and liked ❤
Thanks for the sub! There is not way that I know of to do a reset. I guess you could try to disconnect the battery, but I've not tried this myself.
@@uni-byte thanks for the quick reply 👍
