For anyone wondering...for a coil-on-plug engine you need a tach adapter (autometer makes one) that wires inline with the main power feed to the coils. The adapter converts the signal and gives you a wire to hook a tach to so that it can read properly.
if its resetting then u have your wires hooked up wrong. mixed the constant and ignition wire. the constant will keep the memory setting, the ignition will switch the gauge on when you start the car. your gauge is not holding memory setting due to the wrong wire being hooked up.

set it to four cylinders. you drive a 4 cylinder....not a 1 cylinder.
the tachometers read a single coil, so if it’s one coil per cylinder then it should be set to 1 cylinder

i know this vid is like 5 years old and he doesnt have this car anymore but i wanna point out that this car actually has secret digital tach that works way better. its a little annoying setting it up but its better then nothing and free.

Sooo you HAVE to have EFI for the GlowShift tach? I WAS gonna use GlowShift gauges for my AE86....but it's carb'd 😕
Johnny Keller you can use it for a carb, I just put one on my 79 f-150. You just have to run the wire to the coil, not the injector.

Buy they fuse with infused wire save a lot of problems
If you look online a little more, some cars have random bolts in the fire wall that do nothing, so if you look to see if this is the case with yours, you will be in business

It didnt have a tach. Which is why I did this

Obviously you have NO EXPERIENCE working on cars!! Who would leave wires exposed, hook up wiring to wrong power sources, etc.
I can only imagine that Glow Shift leaves this on as way not to install their products.
Maybe a little advice from someone who knows how to work on cars would be a start to help you out.
Well look where he is now, he made a Subaru powered AWD miata and fabricated everything himself. Fabricated a custom tube chassis
