      Preferably you'll either have your engine tuner disable the factory pressure sensor or you can use a T fitting.

    i want to grab one for my 1990 eclipse GSX my OEM pressure gauge is pretty stupid and
    i’d rather have accurate readings. the sensor is located low near the oil filter so running the wire and keeping it clean looking will be interesting to overcome lol

    did anyone notice he removed the oil sending unit and connection and didn't reconnect the unit ..
    this means the computer will send a check engine code.. because there's no pressure the computer not picking up...

      Yes i see it , I guess glowshift forget to mention it, option to use oil pressure tee to npt adapter, one for OEM oil sending unit and other for oil pressure sensor to the gauge, I install mine with adapter with two ports as i mention above, but some car wont give CEL when removed oil sending unit and i have no idea, please correct me if i am wrong.

      You can ground the factory wires. If it's a single wire sensor then you just run it to a ground.

    What did brass connectors did you use to move the sensor to where you needed it?
    My mishimoto sandwich plate is just a hair too close to the engine block to install my sensor, so I need something to push it out a bit. Struggling to find what I need

    Is this sensor independent of the computer codes? Does the check engine light not come on? Or does the red oil light only come on

    What do you do with the factory oil pressure sensor?????, because the ecu will constantly show check engine light if its not connected.

    Ive seen multiple video's about installing different gauges, what do you need if you want to install 3 gauge's, is there like some kind of hub to connect all the things too?

      No hub, we would just recommend a 3 gauge wiring kit to make wiring all the gauges to power easier.

    So unlike the old model gauge you don't have a ground wire on the sensor harness ? This new model harness goes directly to the back of the gauge with no ground wire as I see it correct ??Should get mine tomorrow I hopeThanks

      That is correct. The only ground wire will be from the power harness from the gauge.

    What size fuses for the gauge? And if I run multiple gauges to one tap, would I need to up the fuse size?

      We recommend connecting to a fuse 10amps or higher. You can connect up to 4 gauges to 1 single fuse without increasing the amps.

    how do you run multiple gauges? wont one gauges expandable circuits in the fusebox get in the way of another gauges?

      You can connect the wires of up to 4 gauges together and run them each to one expandable circuit.
      All red wires - expandable circuit 1
      All yellow wires - expandable circuit 2
      All orange wires - expandable circuit 3
      All black wires - reliable grounding source

    If you run 3 gauges can you use the same grounding location for all 3 or do each one need their own ground.

      Our expandable circuit will come with a 5 amp fuse. We recommend not going any lower than that.

    When installing more than one guage, is it ok to tie the 'red, yellow & orange' wires from say a water temp gauge and an oil pressure guage together before tapping into the fuse box?

    What should the readings usually be at idle and at moving

      Your STI should idle around 20psi when fully warmed up and above 43psi when moving. Your RPM's will determine how high the pressure goes.

    Hi, I went to install my oil pressure gauge and there was some plastic piece on the pressure sensor harness. Does this stay on or come of? Thanks!

      You can but the yellow wire for constant allows the gauge to remember the color selection.

    Be carful about using the location of the factory oil pressure switch a lot of cars won’t run properly if the computer can’t see oil lsi

    Anyone that buys any gauges and has never installed it won’t be this easy especially if you are installing the gauge apillar on your apillar wires don’t reach so you gotta run extra wire also so yah have fun with this project

    I have five gauges to install 1 oil pressure, 2 turbo boost, 3 trans temp, 4 coolant temp gauge and 5 air/ fuel gauge, I am nervous to install them because there are so many fuse adaptors that need to be installed in the fuse box I am scared there wont be enough room or just to many adaptor's

      Most oil pressure sensors are just switches you would have to wire it to always on so it doesn't throw codes or illuminate something on the dash.

      One is a constant power so the gauge remembers your settings, one for ignition so the gauge only turns on when the vehicle is turned on, and the 3rd one is optional to enable the dimming feature when the vehicle's headlights are turned on.

      You can connect them all together so you're only running one single wire to the fuse box. Connect all the reds together, all the yellows together, all the oranges together, and all the blacks together.

    By disconnecting the factory oil pressure sensor, won't you get a check engine light or have the car place itself into a limp mode or not start at all ?

      We have been running this setup in this exact car for 6 months now and have not received a check engine light or "limp mode". If you are worried about a light, you can install the sensor using an oil filter sandwich adapter.

      I was curious of this as well. I always thought the factory sensor not being used would send information back to the ECU that it had no oil pressure and throw it in limp mode. Odd that this Subaru didn't 🤷‍♂️

    you cannot disconnect the factory oil pressure sending unit the computer will put out codes. nor will you pass smog

      not the case for all cars, some have it where the lack of oil pressure grounds the signal to the switch and so simply removing the switch would make the car thinks it has constant pressure as It can't ground the signal, I've tested this by putting the connector straight to the ground on a car and then taking it off and the light went off when I took it off the ground. it depends on the car.
