I took Amlodipine for years. I felt worse than ever in my lifetime - tired & fatigued always. At the time, I had hypertension & weighed 190 lbs. I now weigh 100 lbs & my blood pressure is always below 120/80. I have been off hypertension meds for about 5 years & never felt better. How did I lose the 90 lbs??? I changed NOTHING, but added a 1/2 mile walk to my daily activity. It didn't happen overnight, but it did happen. It took almost 6 years, but the 90 lbs disappeared. All it takes is a little patience & perseverance. Nothing happens instantly.
!!!°°°°
Wow that is great. I've been on it for a couple years now and i am always so tired, i sleep all the time! Also 40lbs overweight
Thanks for sharing this. My wife is in these meds and I am trying to get off of Metformin, we both should take your advice because I HATE taking medication
Thank you for sharing
Thanks
I just stopped taking it or phased it out because I kept gaining weight without eating much
I have had a hernia operation and was told to loose more weight instead I gained more again
I am actually fizzing because of it
You have told me more here than my doctors ever told me before thank you
It’s usually a pharmacist that covers that info . With risk being be very low I don’t think it’s that important .
I’ve been on amlodipine for eight years. Others didn’t work. I split my 5 mg tablet in two. Half in the morning and half in the evening. It’s very inexpensive and has calmed me down as a bonus side effect.
Excellent package
Yes that is true. my doctor only warned me of the swelling of the ankles. This didn't happen to me luckily sounds horrible by what I'm reading. What it did do after a few months was I started skipping heart beats maybe once a week. It basically knocked me on my arse because when it happened it was like something just sucked all my energy out, my arms hurt to move felt like I had molasses for blood. Few more months go by it starts happening every day. I told my doctor, he didn't know what I was talking about I can't believe he didn't think of this side effect. Once it started happening every day multiple times a day I decided I had enough. Mind you I didn't know what was happening or if something else was wrong. The first dose I missed thing turned around 100% haven't had the issue since so I know that drug would've eventually ended my life.
I'm not sure how much a doctor knows about a medication, only if he's getting a good kick back! Ask your pharmacist, read the pamphlet, check out a website where you can put in all your meds and it will check for meds that don't do well together, etc
I have been on Amlodipine for 5 years now. Started on 5 mg. Went up to 10 mg. about 5 months ago…Hallelujah…no side effects whatsoever! Maybe I’m lucky!
I have been on Amlodipine for a long time.I got very serious dizziness, palpitations and got painful finger tips.I came back to normal by the grace of God. I plan to see my Dr.Thanks a lot for that information.
They just say you’ll have the side effects in the beginning of the time you take it but the side effects can be long term
Hi I saw your comment on the amlodipine you mentioned your pain eventually went away. How did that happen for you. I have more achiness since I started on it
This drug caused such a chronic cough in me, I thought I was going to die. My cousin told me to stop this medicine and 3 days later, cough was 90 percent better. The dr didn’t even catch it to tell me it could be the meds!!
My lawd the spirit directed this info to me as I was browsing topics I learned more than enough today than I learned in 15yrs thank u God sent u are appreciated JJ MEDICINE💜🙏✌👌🏿

My Arthritis Dr told me to keep taking it as it was a blocker to help my Arthritis, along with BP medicine I’m taking, smallest dose on both!! I’ve not had a problem, at 71, I’m only on 4 prescriptions, I’m happy and Blessed!!
Extremely useful information. Just about to start on Amlodipine and had little idea about the possible side affects. Thank you very much for your video.
I was taking this med for three months and it caused me to have extreme stomach pain, loss of appetite and no desire to eat which resulted in me losing 22 lbs. Also fatigue, headaches and depression. As soon as I stopped taking it there was a tremendous improvement. My doctor was more interested in my blood pressure then my complaints about my stomach.
I seem to have lost two stone in the last year while taking this. Time to see the Doctor.
You take little dosage of amplodophine I was stroke 10 yrs taking 5 mg no side effect don't follow the doctors advised the chlophigrel have side effect have severe damage of your stomach amplodophine swallowed after breakfast 1 a day only if losartan at same time amplodophine

Hello I take amlodipine about two years with no known problem .
This is the only thing in the world that stopped my migraines !!!! I will continue to take this
You need electrolites .find the root
Stopped my headaches overnight but it made me breathless just doing a mild activity.
Best information on this medication EVER!!!!!!!!!
I like your description very well said and to the point
Most doctors don't explain as well as you do thanks
My doctor doesn't explain anything...he is just a drug pusher and I am the drug addict!
When you are on Micare, the Doctor is only allowed about 15 minutes per person.😵💫😠
Thank you. This info is important to me. My doctor knows, can see, my foot and ankle oedema and knows of my weakness and sleepiness and mild stress in the kidneys. I must address this with him.
Wow this has answered why I've been feeling the way I feel ...Things My own doctor hasn't told me.
IT'S AMAZING...THE INTERNET WATCHES YOU AND SHARES PERSONAL INFORMATION

had my stroke 7 years ago and I have to take this everyday but at least I'm still alive.
I used it for 3 days. The third day i wound up in the hospital. By BP dropped so low i couldn't move. Thank God my wife was home. Be sure when taking this or any BP medication, have a BP machine at home and use it. It could save your life.
I get morning groginess, sadness, and ringing in the ears. Coffee makes things better again! 😊
This was a very helpful video. Thank you for the information.
Clear and good explanation thank you doctor God bless

What are the side effects of this medication?
@@lilliesanchez8917 My main issue would be sensitivity to sunlight when I forgotten to put on sunscreen or to reapply. And I guess the other would be occasional lightheadedness.

Very helpful. Thank you for these informations sir.
Google/CZcams is too scary.. I checked my hospital app about my medications today and clicked to order more Amlodipine and 2 hours later i'm recommended this video on youtube.
I have a rare cancer of the blood called MDS/MPN RS - T . My hemoglobin kept dropping . I was hurting in legs so bad and gasping for breath and finally had to have a blood transfusion. My heart doctor took me off amlodipine and aspirin.
One week later I had energy and no hurting or gasping for breath. So happy.
My Wife had severe sweating, collapses and dizziness. I took her to her doctor who couldn't find anything wrong. But when she came off this medication, the problems stopped.
Thank you for this important information... God bless you more. Happy New Year 2022..
Thank for sharing your beautiful tips
Great report and very educational. Thank you for relating this information.
I am a veteran and receive my medical care from the Veterans Administration. My primary care physician did not discuss any of this with me. Also take Losartan. I have some of the side effects listed such as fatigue, daily nap requirement, swollen legs and ankles. A few months ago I fired my primary care physician and another was assigned to me. The original would not listen to me. Thank you for the information presented in a manner succinct and to the point.
Go keto/carnivore.. my heart to yours 💕Changed my life within 3 weeks …🤗
Thank you for this information my doctor has never informed me of these issues and risks
Thank you for sharing this very informative video with me.
Worked great for me!
I've been taking 5mg of Amlodipine for more than 10 years. Some of the side effects sound familiar, but too few occurrences and probably connected to other things I do (physical activity, diet). My doctor says it's key to take it at the exact time every day. If I miss by too many hours, I just skip it that day and make a conscious effort to relax more. So far, so good.
How old are you madam?
. Me too, thanks sharing 🤗

Marion your dr. Hasnt been trained on much but to sling dope.
Please , for your own health and safety , stop thinking your dr. Knows anything but how to sling drugs.
Did you know that if he doesnt prescribe enough drugs to enough ppl each month , he loses his license??
Wake tf up
@@sunburnedbeachfeet1128 My doctors are my uncle and aunt. They don't even issue new prescriptions anymore. So your allegations, at least in my case, don't hold water. I am aware though of the issues around big pharma, the junkets, the incentives. We just have to choose our doctors well. Not all of them are evil.
I was having a lot of these side effects. Thank you. I couldn't find all of these side effects.
Thanks so much for this great info I really appreciate it!
Thank you for sharing.I have been using Amlodipine for the last 27 years.
Thank you so much for educating us on this medication. I have been on this tablets for so many years. I have had these side effects and now I understand what is the cause. Thank you . Now I can discuss these issues with my doctor. Thanks and God bless you
I've been on this med for about 1 year. I am 74 and don't have much energy. I never took naps before but now I sometimes fall asleep in the middle of the day.
I will be talking to my Dr. about my fatigue issue.
Informative no nonesense to the point explanations
Thank you very much
interesting post, i have been on amlodopine for around 15 years now 10mg and have never had a single side effect.
Worst bp rx ever. I ended up in a wheelchair as a result of pain in my muscles and bones. Doctors are just signing us up so they get their bonus.
This is dreadful doctoring. First thing they teach you in medical school “Do no harm!” You may be wise to consult a Naturopathic Physician instead of a misguided GP. Try Traditional Chinese Medicine or Ayurveda . You may live longer!
@@Hanuboru i was able to recover, but dont wish to share how. Thank you for your reply.
Very illuminating and possibly explains some things that I experience with my body.
I take several types of medication, including Amlodipine
thanks for the information doc
I just found your page! Thank you for such excellent information. I am taking Amlodipine and I am dizzy from time to time, but thankfully, that's the only side effect.

I'm on Amlodipine and have been on it for awhile along with hydroclorothiaside and I have experienced the temporary effects of it . The rashes and the swelling of the foot. Thanks for the info . Much respect to you.
Use herbal Ajmaleen whic contain rawolfia natural extract from the plant. Herbal is the best
Can I change a better medicine instead of Amlodipin 5, pls suggest me.
If I were you I would tell my doctor to stop the Amlodipine and try Losartan . I haven't had any problems with Losartan as of yet.
It is not easy to recommend.
Amlodipine was dreadful it gave me severe palpitations and anxiety that would strike out of the blue. Glad you are pill free!! 😊
thank you, this has been very useful.
I am highly appreciative of the presentation. Thank you
Been on this med for years, no side effects. Thanks for the share I learned a few things.

What should you take instead of amlodipine and statins? I have been fighting gum disease for a few years. Getting cleanings 4xyr instead of twice. Losing bone in my teeth and gum showing more. Now I understand why!
Thank you, very informative
Finally a Dr. Who explains things thanks you
Just found this article and so glad I did. I have had some of these symptoms and did not know where they came from. I'm on a low dose of amlodipine/benazepril. Thank you for this information. It answers all my questions to why I feel like I do at times. Will consult with my doctor further.
Just started it. I have the muscle aches and skin conditions
I started it today thanks for the info
Any blood pressure med that ends in ‘pril ’ should not be used among African Americans because it causes angiodema, the swelling of tongue, lips, face. It happened to me when I was taking Benazapril.
Yes same with me!. My heart specialist in December last year doubled my amlodivine (Nordip) from 5mg a day to 10 mg a day. & was suffering all the mentioned symptoms but ?! Had no idea why until I came across this video. Yes it brought my BP DOWN. But! Was killing me will be cutting back to 5MG a day till I see heart specialist again.

I’m take Amlodipine, sometimes I feel sleepy in the morning when I takes. Thank you for the information about the medication.
I was advised to take mine at night, at bedtime.
This has made my symptoms validated! I recently started an increase to 10mg with 80mg telmistartin. My legs and ankles have been so sore for no reason, will be going back to the doctor for a new medication
Thank you for the info!
Thank you for this info
I'm taking this medication and I'm having most of these side effects that you are now talking about I'm also taking the enalapril with it
Thank you. I have been taking this med (5mg daily) for several years in winter (cold weather) as I have Raynauds syndrome and my fingers especially get ice cold & turn blue. I find at 84yrs old, & have PULMONARY FIBROSIS, & Sweets SyndromeI & now COVID, I don’t go out as much this year. I have developed the symptoms you described this year for the first time & truly believe it’s due to being house, so will talk to my cardiologist to reduce dosage & see if that helps. Thanks again for your share & wisdom on this. I’ll stay tuned!! Ann
THANK YOU 😇 FOR THE INFORMATION
Thank you for the information
I had many of those “side effects”.
The only way I found out about what was happening with my body was when my PCP was on vacation, the replacement told me what I was seeing, even the blood spots under my skin on my legs.
I had a decision to make, either continue to take it, or get control of my body and what I was eating. I chose the latter. Against my PCP’s wishes, I did what was best for me!
I taken this pill for over 5 years working really good control my bloodpressure and heart beat skip now stop I have rash all over my head and down to my face
Had most of those symptoms. Discussed with my doctor and that doctor refused to believe it was this medication. His parting words when he agreed to try another medical were "We'll see". That shows in itself how arrogant and uncaring my doctor was.
Changed to another medication and all of my symptoms brought on by this medication vanished by day 4. Yes - it was so evident.
I didn't go back to discuss the dramatic changes with me stopping this medication. Instead, I changed my doctors practice to a one which listens to patients and actually cares.
Makes me wonder just how many people suffer by listening to their doctor when their own bodies are telling them something isn't right...
well my rheumatoid dr wanted to test me for hep b!!! i told him i didnt have it and he made up the order anyway. then i called to ask the nurse about it and she said she didnt understand my problem----if i tell him something and he doesnt believe me then how can we have any kind.of communication........ what kind of crap is that???
Jack King ... your last sentence is right on!
No kidding. So many doctors are not fit to practice. Remember at least 50:/: of all doctors graduated in the Bottom 50:/: of their class!
Thank you for the information. Some things I didn’t know and I did experience many of those side effects.
U are correct i have noticed I suffer from dizziness and tiredness.
I was on amlodipine for over ten years for controlling my blood pressure. Yep, edema was my side effect. With it came pain in the joints where the edema was forming. I was on 5mg. dosage. Stopped using it in 2013. No edema now and no joint pains. I was on three blood pressure medications, but now only on CARVEDILOL 12.5 MG TAB. My levels are average 108/64 and pulse of 62. I am a 72-year-old male. I had a kidney procedure done in 2014 and that reduced my dependency on multiple medications for maintaining my blood pressure.
thank you very much. I have sometimes lot of pains in the legs. l will stop Them. l thank you for this information. Why are they giving us such medication ?I don't find this good playing with people. Others maybe come righte with them
@@elizabethnadrau195 I just told my doctor about it and she changed the meds. I was on my honeymoon, I lost my wife and the good Lord provided me with another love of my life. We spend over a month on the road in my RV, That is when I noticed the edema and the joint pain. My wife told me later it was a honeymoon from hell. I was in constant pain and swelling. I was not nice to be with at that time. I survivied. So, that was a very good thing. We now are going on nine years and she has not killed me yet. There is hope. Thanks for your comment.
Your numbers look good. This drug only lowered mine around 15-20 points. I stopped taking it because it was giving me heart palpitations. I feel like it would have killed me. I'm averaging 150 for my top, been like this for over a decade so I guess if I'm going to die, which is unavoidable anyways I want it from my own issues not from taking something that causes a separate issue more severe than the reason for taking them....if this makes sense. ✌️
What procedure did you have
I’d be interested to know the kidney procedure as well
I used to take amlodipine 5mg for a few years, but it started to have less and less effect. So the doctor upped it to 10mg. That's when I got a severe side effect, which was a 4 hour long nose bleed. I had to switch to another med.
Greatest information thanks
My mom was on this & she was recently taken off it during a hospital visit after kidney surgery. I'm glad she's off it.
This is important information, God bless JJ Medicine.
I have been subscribed Amlodipine for a couple of years now, it’s good at reducing hypertension but there is a trade off with the side effects as mentioned in the video.

I switched to Amlopidine from Lisinopril, and I've tolerated it very well. I had numerous fainting episodes with Lisinopril, especially in the sunlight and if I had a fever. Amlopidine's been fine and my bp is under control.
Lisinopril can cause you to have an annoying dry cough. I have bad allergies and a cough is the last thing I need.
