@@maigematthews5620, last update they increased Broodmother’s resistance to explosions/bombs. It is not a good idea. 😂

Lvl. 7 Coaltana
Lvl. 5 Ladybug head
Lvl. 5 Ladybug chest
Lvl. 2 Roly poly legs
Green Machine, Fuzz on the Rocks, Human Food, Boost Juice & Liquid Rage smoothies… all beefy!
Some bandages as well.
Happy to have all achievements in the game now. I look forward to 1.0 & more achievements being added.

if youre still having trouble because of the smaller spiders, some super gas arrows and a gas resist smoothie will take care of them in less than 10 seconds. 4 worked for me, but you could do with 1 well placed shot.

Not gonna lie. After coaltana released I thought this was how most people fought her.
I saw someone who said antlion great sword was better and after watching this they are defo wrong. Plus they are weak to slash and spice. And this is both
@@Joe_Payne the ant lion sword made spicy is better than the coal imo. It seems to kill all spiders quicker. Wolf in maybe 5 strikes
@@Joe_Payne Antlion with Mighty is wayyyy better than Coaltana lmao. Plus you can stack barbarian, Coup De Grass, and the buff that gives you stronger crits. Then equip a charm that gives you spicy or salty. Once you get the Mace of the mother demon none of those weapons even matter anymore though. It GAPS coaltana lmao

If you want to farm her for the trinket in the lategame i would prefer the helm of the mother demon and the termite king armor as armor gear. They both passively deal with the adds so you must heal less and they do some extra damage to the bm.
Atm I combine with black widow leggings which buff the poison nova I think
Edit: and of course: for farming switch your difficulty setting to mild.
Edit again: Mom Genes Mutation also helps not getting bullied.
Start the timer the moment you strike the brood mother; otherwise, you're stuck waiting for 10 seconds, just observing the brood mother at the beginning!

for players in the 1.1 update that find the new coaltana fight hard, if you upgrade a toenail scimitar to level 7 sleek, pop some smoothies, healbasas etc, the fight should be a breeze

I fought her the with three mutations on fist try with miditrism cario fan and spicy saftey then I had level 7 mint mace and morning star armor I used was black ox w quick charge and a roly poly armor helm for block stun a lot of heals mainly because I hate lady bird larva challenge

Is the BroodMother venom different from the Wolf Spider venom?
And if so, could u use the Wolf Spider venom to fight the broodmother and visa versa?
If not, would you get a poison venom stacked DOT effect if you were to use the spider dagger and the broodmother mask on every other insect but spiders?

Hi Maige, I am glad you liked the video. Poison/venom damage is the same regardless of weapon or creature. All spiders, including the Broodmother are imune to venom damage. So I don’t recommend you using any weapon or gear that has poison as a bonus. Regarding the poison stacking, I am 99% sure it does. Poison Nova and weapon poison, for sure.

why wouldn't you use the antlion greatsword with spicy effects considering the broodmother is weak to both slashing and spicy?
Hi Jajo27, the Koaltana is spicy as you craft it from level 0. Same as the Mint Mallet is fresh or the Salt Morning Star is salty from level 0. Compared to all other weapons, these weapons have an advantage as they can be upgraded to Mighty (a bit more damage) and keep the "flavor upgrade".
Technically you can do it faster if you get a crit every time

I do need help cuz I dont want to use this build im using the Widow spider build. Theres one problem I die way too fast. Is there anyway for me to get less damage without another build AND smoothies?
Yes, things changed a lot since this video was done. Have you checked out the updated weapons and armor guide (czcams.com/video/nqorz4lgxtM/video.html)? The safest way to kill the broodmother is with the Roly Poly armor set sleek and use Beefy smoothies to heal.

A little question .
Where's the best place to build a base.
Best for farming resources.
Hi Abeetha, the best spot in my opinion is close to the juice box and pagoda by the pond. There's where I built my base ( czcams.com/video/t4v5O65o0mg/video.html ). It is close to Burg.L, acorn resources, all pond resources, quartzites, weed stems... You will be far from the shards, but there's no real safe place to build close to them, maybe between the Sandbox and the Picnic table. But doing that, you will be far away from the most basic resources of the game.
For me it's all about progression and the various stages of the game. I always start the game on the baseball. It's safe from raids and you dont need walls or floors. Most of my time is spent around the oak tree and ant hills early game so it's perfect for that.
Next I build a small hut in the tree of the hedge (elevated for safety). To start it's just a launching point for hitting the hedge lab but can be used a s a place to crash when making a trip for more berry chunks.
After hedge lab I'm firmly in tier 2 and ready for my first real base near koi pond. Tier 2 axe allows you to chop down husky stems which is important if you plan on building a lot of palisades to defend your base or want to make a weed stem base rather then grass. Pagoda and slab near juice box are both fine spots.
I just use my old baseball base to raid Haze lab and picnic table but after that I make a small outpost near trash heap for raiding sandbox and black ant lab. I chose inside the coiled hose. I built a ramp up to sandbox near the juice box.
Lastly my final base is made of mushroom bricks and in the northwest. I chose on the slab above the Frakenline sketch. Great spot as a launching point for tier 3 content like Termite mound and porch.

lol had to heal a couple times but easily beat her in under 2 mins, I didn’t have the human food smoothie either, couldn’t be bothered to get fresh apple, cookie, and Billy hog. Still wrecked her EZ.
On console how do we use items quickly?
You can’t. Only through the hotpot he quick access.
This was the easiest boss I had to fight. Director Schmector was much more difficult.

I’m in 1.0 and I use spicy club of the motherdemon with Barbarian, liquid rage, marked as foe, fire ant armor, and the entomologist badge and in mild I killed it in 15 seconds to 25 seconds.

The Mantis and the Black Widow are hard creatures to kill and it doesn't seem to exist any shortcut.
(I'm note english so excuse me for mistakes) I started m'y first game few dans ago ans i crafted a roly poly Armor. But there is a problem... I Saw videos who recomended to go on sleek Armor because with bulky there is no Big differences but here you are telling to go bulky so what is the best ? (i'm playing tank with my Friends who are playing crossbow)
Hi NexOne91, my advice to go Bulky here is because the Sleek bonus for the role poly armor set is "blocking strength" which allows you to block more. As I was killing the Broodmother Mother solo and had no plans to block, it wouldn't be useful. If you are playing with friends and plan to use a shield or block with 2-handed weapons, go for the Sleek bonus. 👍
