- Today I go over installation and conversion of a new range. I am converting it from natural gas to LP. Most new gas ranges include a conversion kit.

This was SO helpful!!! Thank you SO much!!!
The directions that came with my stove was very confusing & overwhelming!
You made this SO much simpler!!!
(I lost one of the pieces too, so I didn’t feel so bad when you lost a couple also).
It’s not the hardest thing, but you definitely gotta read the instructions carefully!
Thank you for the best detail video just what I was looking for! You should have more likes.
Loved this. No way I can do this but at least I know what is involved. Calling my propane company to do. Loved the dogs! I have many. Great Video.
I love dogs too! I only have two right now. Golden and a patter dale terrier. Just recently lost my cane corso mix😢
Your video really helped me out. Thanks so much for creating & posting!
Very welcome
I love this guy
Thanks for your quick reply but obviously my request was mistaken and the assumsion was I needed gas range parts no the range is assembled and convereted! But what was and still is needed is the gas supply attachment which attachs to the gas regulator on the GE gas range which is size 5/16! The 5/8 gas supply line supplied attaches to the in home gas line but not to the gas range! The only conversion kit we received supplied had only the tips that needed replacing from natural gas to propane for the top burners and for the lower and upper ovens!
Ok. In that case bring what you can and go to a plumbing supply store. Here we have fw Webb. They have way more parts for heating than Home Depot or lowes.
I use a SMC Lock driver for changing out the 7mm brass orifices it has a built in clamping feature so you won't lose one of the orifices down up under the top lid of a gas range but alot of those orifices are dogged down pretty tight so I do use my 7mm socket wrench to get them loose and then back to my SMC Lock driver to remove it
I’ve never heard of that tool. Where do you get those?
EBay or Amazon has them
Thanks for your advice but the problem has been solved
Glad to hear
Thanks for sharing. Do you think it's OK to use a propane burner to cook indoor? A lot people say it's dangerous. If I can keep the air ventilated, would that be OK?
That’s what a huge percentage of homes in the world use. A lot of stoves use propane. You don’t want to use a propane stove in a confined space with no ventilation. Just crack a window open near the kitchen while you cook.
@@newenglandlife978 man what you said makes sense to me. I was raised using that kinda stove to cook. But here I'm new to Canada, every household uses induction cooking top which drives me nuts. And everyone freaks out when I say using propane indoor. That's what confused me. Thank you so much!!!
I recently purchased a GE model PGB965BPTS and successfully converted it to propane use except once I reversed the part for propane use the part is a 5/16 male brass fitting that wouldn't attach to the 5/8 supply line! Where would I get the part needed! I went to Lowes where I purchased the range from but they had no clue! Can you advice? Thank William

Just posted a link to a site that sells parts for your stove. Let me know if they have what you are looking for
What’s the orifice called you changed in the oven?
I don’t know
@@newenglandlife978 I guess the lp orifice
What size socket did need to use????
I honestly don’t remember. Maybe a 6mm or so?
I just tried to convert my LG stove to propane. It looks like the exact same instructions. I followed everything to the letter (carpenter, pretty mechanically inclined). I have 2 ft flames shooting out of the top of the burners, and no one I call has a clue why. LG customer service is a joke.
Any thoughts?
Hmmm. I know there is a way to adjust the size of the flame on most stoves. I think you remove the knob of the burner and then stick a small flathead in there? Is each burner doing it or just one?
@@newenglandlife978 Yes you pull the knob and adjust the small screw. This did nothing. My only guess is a new pressure regulator, but at $350, id rather not be guessing if that's it. All burners are doing it
@@cothobh9833 did your instructions mention converting the pressure regulator? There should be some literature on that in the instructions
6:33 in my video is where I adjusted my pressure regulator. On mine it was easy . Just had to unscrew and flip the nozzle on the regulator
@@newenglandlife978 Yes I have the exact same regulator and switched mine too. The directions are straight forward and I followed them, im just baffled at why its not working...
What size of the propane gas do you have?
36 double D
