Had a great day at Larford lakes,with Jamie Harrison and his dad (coach). And 24 other patrons, a lot of us struggled, came first in section by default. But Jamie won in section and the match I think but said it didn’t count. A couple of very nice giveaways by a draw of peg numbers very nice gifts at that. Met some sound lads from all over. gday from expat in nz that was my favorite stretch of the tidal trent,some fabulas roach fishing 35 years ago incomeing tide waggler and maggots 20mtr line when it runs off back on the stick float,10,12oz roach all day long.

Nice to see some river fishing. River bream are so much fitter than their stillwater counter parts which must have been a factor in losing a couple. Unlucky Jamie. It's a pity there are no qualifiers on the river Weaver for you - probably the best bream river in the country at the moment. Massive weights every weekend so far.
Well done on the result buddy. Great focus by concentrating on the fishing and not the filming in the last hour or so. Hopefully the draws will improve. From the results, that's all that's missing. Another great insight. Hope you and Dad enjoyed your beers and food.

Close mate them bream are little bleeders when they get close to the net size 12 or 10 if that hook ain't proper home under the net is where we find out but still a pay out well done

Very few match anglers on the trent 5 or 6 years ago. It seems to be just the speci lads after big barbel.

Only fished it twice , 1st time got wet with the tide turning lol,,
2nd time got just over 4lb ,,

CATCH Fishing Channel I play golf atleast 3 times a week and I know if I got my gear back out I would be hooked straight away , I love big gravel pits fishing for tench and bream maybe il give it a bash again, looking forward to when you win your next match 👍

Thanks Paul mate and yeah it was good to be back on the river. I had a feeling we would need a 'better stamp' fish so that's why I went down a pretty strong fishmeal mix in Ringers dark. What do you think mate?
CATCH Fishing Channel yes I agree with you’re decision on a strong fish meal for better stamp fish bream but you’re a braver man than me perhaps I’m too negative sometimes and with roach about my train of thought is fishmeal puts them off it can be confusing but you definitely commit and it makes sense cheers

Size 10 that's a bit to big shouldn't go bigger than 14 and hook lengths is the thing to change depending on bites
