I love how the team of remarkable people (even a god) obeyed Cap's orders in the end...shows you what a badass he is.
the thing i ABSOLUTELY LOVED about this movie is that nobody outshined anybody. everybody equally had a moment and then some. they fought together and helped each other fight together. Teamwork is what will win the battle. Its not called Cap and the crew or Tony and the team, its called "The Avengers". LOVE THIS MOVIE. A++++

I love that they created this universe so well! Can't wait for more. Chris evans is signed on for three captain america movies and three avengers movies. Lets hope it goes for that long
The Avengers is a very well-crafted film; it isn't just flashy explosions and action scenes. It has a fantastic script and very well-balanced characters, all of whom have depth. I agree that The Dark Knight Rises will be great, but these are apples and oranges; both are sweet in different ways.

Wikipedia says that at times she was both a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent AND a member of the Avengers. I'm reading the "Civil War" series and she's considered an official member of the Avengers, too.

In the Silver Age comics, Cap regularly gives the other Avengers tips on hand to hand combat (boxing and judo) and "combat" gymnastics. He's supposed to be so good, that even the experienced Avengers trained under him. I wonder if any reference to his martial arts skills will be shown in the movie (I know, we'll find out Friday.)
so true, hulk owned loki who no one else could beat, iron man made the sacrifice, hawk eye was held captive by loki, black widow is so sexy, thors brother made it personel, captain america acted as a leader. LOVE IT

Yea i like that Captain America is the underdog again and he has to earn respect just like in his own movie. I loved the "why should I take orders from you?" scene.

I had a dream last night that this movie came out in theatres today and I was going to see it. I woke up, I was like, "Aw man, why couldn't it be out today?" LOL

Letting Capt lead the battle at the end was just sensible. He has the experience, he is just the most qualified to established a strategy. When the Hellicarrier was attacked, Capt obeyed Tony's instructions to repair the engine without a second thought, Tony did the same when the situation called for Capt's skills.

I took the "I don't work well with others" as a bit of a sarcastic stab at SHIELD after they personality profile they did on him that said he wasn't a good candidate for the Avengers initiative. Captain America is an expert tactician however. In the comics, he has found ways to take down both Thor and Hulk. You'd be surprised.
also Cap's got the most military experience and is the only one that has led a team in combat out of all of the avengers
Also, Tony Stark refused to make any more suits in Iron Man 2 remember. Although there is a comic book where Rogers did wear an Iron Man suit. Look it up. He may or may not have also had the hammer of Thor.

Interesting that in one of the earlier movies, Downey's Tony Stark tells General Ross that "we're putting together a team", which to me, implies that he's enthusiastic about forming the Avengers.
However, in this trailer, he tells Cap "I don't work well with others", implying he's reluctant to be a part of any team.
Perhaps he's resentful of Cap being the leader? I'll find out Friday!
Cap is field leader. Fury is in charge. Just like in The Ultimates.
To those that don't know, this movie is mostly told from Cap's point of view, I'm more worried about Hawkeye not having enough of the spotlight.

I thought that too up until I seen The Avengers tonight. Now I even have my doubts if TDKR will be able to top it.

Judging by how Red Skull was zapped up into space (presumably Valhalla or Asgard?) when holding the Cosmic Cube in Captain America, I would guess (and it's only a guess) that a sequel would involve the return of The Red Skull. (That's just my guess. We'll find out Friday, after the credits!) :-)

RDJ's salary was due to a deal he made in 2008 which gives him a percentage of the profits on any movie in which he plays Ironman. He bet on his role and won big time. Other actors will make tons of money too from selling thier likeness to make toys and video games. "Selling out" is a big part of the business if you want to make money in Hollywood. I don't feel bad for any of them lol

Well... allow me to retort.
Rhodey's armour is by definition at least 3 generations behind Starks.
In IM2 he did use it, after being controlled by someone else for half the fight.
Natasha and Clint aren't there for their firepower anymore than Cap is.
All that aside, War Machine simply does not belong in the Avengers.
As for, maybe I didn't realise that Rhodey was once Iron Man, what's next... you gonna tell me that Stark was once an alcoholic.... thx, but I know.
I don't know why people are arguing over whos the better choice of leader Cap or Iron Man, Cap is completley selfless, strategic genius, who knows how to approach anny battle, while Iron Man is a narsacistic alcoholic who charges into every battle head on no matter what, its easy to tell that Cap is the better choice
Cap is the Boss!!!, no extraordinary powers, just with a perfect human physique, commanding titans!!! he is in no mans land, and yet he kicks ass!!!
nope, rumors say in this movie iron man can absorb energy now. so he could go up to almost 400 joules of energy which makes it possible to defeat hulk and thor with only one repulsor, that is, if thor or hulk would attack him with electricity or any source of energy :P

Sorry but for everyone saying 1st comment, second comment and so on, its kind of pathetic. They didnt put a clip on here for you to decide whos better by when you comment. They did it to find out what you think of the clip, the small extract about something that they have spent their hard days slaving over for you. So yeah u may have been the first person to comment on this but maybe next time you may have something thrilling to say about a freaking sweet film that i for one cant wait to watch.

Did you see Iron Man 2? He looked very comfortable in his armor and Rhodey has way more military experience than Stark. Secondly, how can you say he lacks firepower when you have Natasha and Clint shooting arrows and bullets...really??? Maybe you don't realize that Rhodey was Ironman at one point and a very significant member of the Avengers. Not having War Machine in the movie was the only negative I have about this movie.

Yer, cap is an inspiring leader because he's not as powerful as the others, so its more dangerous for him and when he does cool stuff hes had to try harder thats why cap is awesome and deserves respect
