    I made the body butter recipe and it's great but for some reason mine kind of like when it was done marshmallow and then I put it in my jar and then it just like really hardened up so I have to like dig my finger into it to get it .. when yours is fully set is it hard like that or is it still soft and creamy.. thank you and thanks for the great recipe

      Thanks for watching and trying our recipe😊 Kokum Butter is naturally a hard butter. So once it's completely settled it will naturally harden a bit. Some say, it also depends on your supplier. But you can always add an extra amount of soft oils to compensate. Hope everything went well for you😊

    My daughter, who I will be making this for, has a tree nut allergy so I would not be able to use the almond oil. What would be a good substitute? Thank you so much for this!

      Typically any oil that she isn’t allergic to. I like jojoba and sunflower oils.

    Hi, will this formula mix in skin when its wet? Or should I add some polawax make that happen?

    • @KraftBee
      @KraftBee  Před 2 lety +1

      It will absorb quickly. But it still gives you a moisturized coating on the skin. If you don't like that, try emulsified creams. I have one video called "Shea Butter Cream" in our channel.

    What does cetyl alcohol do for your recipe pls?

    • @EatAllDaHumans
      @EatAllDaHumans Před rokem

      I just learned that it helps it maintain a smooth texture because the Kokum butter can turn back into a solid no matter how much oil or vegetables glycerin you put in, there is almost no way to stop this otherwise; I've tried

    Could i add isoamyl laurate?

    • @melizamilbert9560
      @melizamilbert9560 Před rokem

      Isoamyl laureate is an ester so you could sub that to the oil content. You would have to proportion it appropriately with your butter as Kokum is a considered a hard butter. Plus this formula has cetyl alcohol as a fatty thickener already so you have to put that in mind as well.

    Does it stay soft?

    • @KraftBee
      @KraftBee  Před 3 lety +3

      Yes. Reduce the amount of cetyl alcohol and increase liquid oil if you need more thinner consistency than that is shown in the video.
