Nurgle is impressed by the state of decay shown here.
I've already won a Golden Shower Demon at the local basement competition using your amazing techniques!
It actually looks better than most models I see on the table today.
Better than my Imperial Guard, anyway. Just look at that crisp, refined, and exquisite detail work!
(In all seriousness, thinning with oil almost worked... somehow. Huh...)
I actually thought he was serious, up to the sculpt your own eyes part.
Really? You thought leaving mould lines is for serious? xD
Siersciuch Siersciuchowsky Ok, maybe I missed that part :P
Swiftsabre
Or the part with using PVA school glue?
Oh whatever, I must have glossed over that too :/
Or the part where his life was in danger? :)
The techniques were so highly advanced i barely even knew what was going on
10 years later, this is still by far the best video when it comes to learning how to win GD.
Marine: "MY EYES!!! HELP ME BROTHERS!!
I CAN NO LONGER SEE THE ASTRONOMICAN!
Be strong brother, be strong for the Emprah ...
well those eyes aren't getting a golden daemon anytime soon also you can use a detail brush if it's small enough which GW's artificer brush will certainly do
Boreale: NO!
Riley Raccoon ha ha
"Brothers, grant me the death I yearn so much..."
Ellendil12 apothecary is like "fuck no stay away from me I dont want your geneseed
What have you done you fool? You have revealed one of the secrets of the Great Painting Council to the world! Now we must devise new techniques lest the title of Professional Painter be ruined forever.
For you, there is no punishment great enough.
heh :D
These tutorials always make it look so easy
This shows how us how far humans can adapt and master things we never even thought possible. This man is a golden god, a true master of his craft.
Now I feel better about my first marine paint
although i hate undertale i have to agree
Well guess what, I changed my profile
so this what happens in the Basilica of Torment
sounds like it
I wish I could paint that well.
you can build best walls tho
Yey
Paint
Use your magic pain glove
I FEEL THE PAINT OVERTAKING ME!
It is a good PainT!
Wow I'm gonna win one now with my green blood angels and my red salamanders.
This is still one of the best miniature videos on the internet. Every time I see it i laugh almost as hard as the first time.
I am crying here, thanks, what a laugh- the final straw was the rock used to base the 'mini' -I can't stop laughing!!
Is it wrong if the oil part made sense to me?
Eudald Sans it actually did look like a useable technique... my god
Eudald Sans He isn't wrong, oil paint has to be thinned with oil (which is obvious since oil deflects water duh)
"call me old fashioned but I still prefer to apply my base-coats by hand"
wow! I followed this tutorial to the last detail and I won like six competitions thanks man!
THAT'S where I was messing up! It was the eyes! They couldn't see the eyes! You're my hero! Thanks man! The Slayer Sword shall be MINE!!!!
I had a very hard time trying to duplicate these techniques, as my eyes were full of tears from laughing so much...well done
Loved this, especially the bit where you applied base coat by hand haha!
This is funny. I love the spasticated legs and the quality oil wash!
Am I the only dick who initially took this seriously?
you are not alone....
:( i was hoping it was a real tutorial. but it was stupid.
Same feels dude, it started kinda like a legit thing/funny tutorial and then the comedy arised....
If only the winners weren't pricks and shared a few secrets with us.
nope I was totally fooled until about 2 min in
I enhanced my space marines with your techniques. thank you so much!
This video could have been a nod towards some of the "pro painted" figures on ebay. A basecoat and drybrush does NOT equal pro painted guys!
I know right
Well there you have it. Remember it's on the internet, it has to be true.
This is amazing! I have been looking for techniques like these for years. I thought my paint jobs were good before, but man, this has just taken it to the next level.
Directions unclear: cat got stuck in the toaster while priming.
i've painted about half my army using these techniques and i couldn't be happier. thanks for the tips!
OMG...I knew I was doing something wrong...but no one would tell me...thanks for showing me how to paint...I will try it out on my new stormraven.
I've won a Slayer Sword every year since this video was posted. Thank you!
Dude, your tutorial changed both my life and my conception of miniature painting... 'nuff said. Thank you.
Those who gave the dislikes have no sense of humor. They must be sacrificed to Khorne
neverAskMeWhy07 no they don't like changing the models pose. Sacrafice those non believers to Tzeentch!
No, they don't like all that excess paint. Sacrifice them to Slaanesh!
We must sacrifice them to Nurgle for the fact that they can’t stand lots of glue coming out of his pores
That is a perfect 5 out of 7!
Silly person, the Sullivan principle (5=7) only applies to films
I was literally choking before the halfway point. Subscribed for shizzle mate.
I love your flawless painting technique, and this conversions i have never in my entire live seen such a complicated and detailed conversions and green stuff work as yours with this tutorial everyone in the entire world is able to get the golden demon ty so much for sheering this valuable knowledge with us ;)
You sir are a master. I have learnt so much. My skill has (de)creased by 90% :)
I love the random hair that just got picked up on the bolter barrel during the application of that wicked pimp rock. Winning for sure.
Picked up some good tips - thanks for that - the greenstuff idea was genius, saves so much hassle with those annoying small details - now I can finally get the eyes just right.
Brilliant
Copied exactly and won my local entry competition. The eyes really helped it stand out.
I never thought about adding eyes or swapping the legs. Thanks
I'll never get that 7 minutes back, thanks for that!
I don't know who you are sir, but you have inspired me more than any artist that ever lived ever had! From the bottom of my heart i say to thee: Thank you! If only the world would'nt had been such a cruel place, you my great messiah would not have had to hide yourself for the sake of your life that the dark forces are seeking to extinguish.
After I painted my first miniature using these techniques I got a visit from a time traveler from the future. He said that the mini heralded a new age of peace and prosperity for all mankind. Thank you PugButt Miniatures!
Holy cow that green is so vibrant and beautiful
VERY HELPFUL VIDEO! I would recommend this video to advanced and beginners alike. 10/10 This really does work!
This is the best thing that has ever happened to our hobby. Ever. I still watch this every once in a while because it makes me laugh for 5min straight.
I think that Andrew from SFM should watch this video at least 100 times to learn how to paint finally. This is awesome!
This video's quality is way better than a lot of stuff being posted today
This still delivers 10 years later
I applied these techniques to my entire army. Huge, jealous, crowds surrounded me with pitchforks and torches.
The music (#buypainted), the way you recorded and comment make the irony even better :)
Really cool job here, the "donuts" made of green stuff for the eyes killed me :p
You made my day 8D
These techniques are so advanced I’ve only ever seen them in the most lonely of crackdens!
This guy must be the new trainer for Blue Table Painting. I mean, that advanced drybrushing.... just wow!
I would drop hundreds of dollars on this finely detailed model!
Lol! Can't believe some people disliked this. Get a sense of humour, people!
this is not a question of having humour or not. this is sort of children's humour, it's exactly like: "ooooh, look I farted!!". It does not make laugh or smile at all. If you really want to know what humour is just watch "scrubs", or some George Carlin's shows.
I totally feel legitimated to dislike this.
mate that is not humour that is just straight up bullshit and I think the model looked better when it wasn't even painted
If you find this funny, you have a very dry sense of humor.
totally agree!
I see the others point, but come on... just go over it and thats it...
Kevin Gilmartin Just realize, it will always be some asholes who will dislike.
I was good 2mins into the vid before I realised it was a joke. LOL.
Joke, joke. You know hes not serious on thats how you paint a Golden demon winner.
imax006 I dunno, it seemed legit to me. That simple green trick always works!
Doomsdayparade yh and putting it in a bleach made it worse than it already was. It was all a joke
I'm not so sure. If you haven't tried it yet you totally should.
I have and it looked shit
this is possibly the greatest painting tutorial ive seen i gotta try that acetone trick :)
*richard gray has entered the chat* woah…dude, you’re just out here giving out out demon tips for free???!!! Bruhhh!!!
Can’t help but keep coming back to this video every so often for a lol 10+ years now I think 😂😂
You're killing me bro!! That was the funniest thing I think I've ever seen!
What a masterpiece, I love how half of the red, uhhh I mean green paint came off; it looks like he's been shot!
I laughed so hard, hat off sire. The leg swap, brilliant.
omg I'm at work and couldn't stop laughing. This guy deserves more subs
Aww man i will never be this good at painting
I laughed so hard I almost cried. I am totally doing this to one of my trooper models. I play Privateer Press, and there are always clones in the units, and I"ll totally have to switch their legs and stump them down. Then have the bulging eyeballs and the "I'm tripping for the thousandth time" pose.
Fan friggin tastic.
Wow !!! Thanks for this tutorial, now my figures looks awesome !!!!!!!
FANTASTIC CONVERSION! FANTASTIC PAINTJOB! GREAT QUALITY!VERY COOL!YEAH!
OMFG! Thank You! I was wondering how you guys painted to this level. Now the secret is out ! ! ! Flocking Amaszingk
With this technic I have won 4 Golden things with only half a miniature!!!! It really works.
That was spectacularly funny... I mean, informative... yeah that one
Oh almost forgot about the eye detail, freaking amazing touch!
Thanks for the help, secret painter guy! I'm sure my first golden demons are on their way right now.
I'm ready to go out and win a golden daemon thanks to you .. thank you for one of the best painting tutorials on you tube.
Good work, Andrew! The music was the icing on the cake.
And that's a great guide to make your own Nurgle deamons!
First 40 seconds sounded like one of those dodgy popups that promises to make you a millionaire lol
What a masterpiece
lol and now convert him to a nurgle marine for serious and you are my hero ; )
Haha actually thought he was serious until the green stuff eyes and leaving glue for dry brush haha nice video, will use this advice on my riptide ;-)
thanks man! I took home slayer sword and golden demon 2014 thanks to you and your amazing advice!
i fell for it, got my notebook out ready lmao, great vid fanx
Thank you so much! It helped me get a golden demon, even Sam Lens admitted my one was better than his
MASTERPIECE TRULY A FANTASTIC BEAUTIFUL MODEL THAT IS WORTH THE GOLDEN DEMON AWARD BRILLLIANT!!! :D
Hilarious vid:-D Loved, 'call me old fashioned, but still prefer to apply my basecoats by hand'!!
This was hilarious- thanks for taking the time to make it! (But he keeps staring at me with those Cheerios eyes!) Hahahaha- love it.
What in the f**k? Simply stunning work! Most impressive.
I commend you for having the bravery to share such closely guarded secrets... It'll be interesting to see your future videos.

LOL, I have seen MOD_Dvandom on the Privateer Press Forums Paint his miniatures like this. This had me rolling in laughter.. very well done sir. Its amazing how many people actually paint like this...
