Awesome job Scott and an incredible end to the EM Series! (although I hope you do more in the future). Thank you for representing the style so well over the years.
It's really crazy to see how much better you've gotten since the first Ultramarine.
I am the happy owner of the very first 'eavy metal marine you painted.
And sick paint job with the greys.
Glad to have you around still!
Congratulations on finishing your heavy metal marines series. What an excellent way to finish it, and it was genuinely fun to see some classic Miniac content.
Your best space marine that I've seen, really impressive. I can't say as it will bother me you not painting them anymore, I enjoy the videos where you are clearly having fun painting, and if you don't think you'll feel that way painting space marines then I'd much rather see you paint something that makes you happy.
As a Space Wolf player I've been waiting for this video for a long time. You definitely saved the best for last and killed it!
Loved the collaboration aspect of this video, Valbjorn is super awesome and I'd love to see you paint more conversions from other artists/ convert models for others to paint in future videos. There's just something so awesome about two masters of their craft working together to make something.
That raptor grandma comment killed me! One of my most horrifying nightmares in recent memory involved a raptor trying to fool it's way into my house by dressing up as an old granny and ringing the doorbell. The image of that clever girl in disguise as I peered through the peephole of my front door still haunts me. 😂
Amazing job! I love how Valbjorn does his conversions and has been a big inspiration for me to try sculpting on my own spacewolves. Great paint job I’m definitely going to try some of these techniques out on my next squad.
Great editing and transitions! Epic subtle detail approach. Great info on painting the eyes!
I am so looking forward to this. I still remember the times when you had under 1k subscriber. Glad to see you you are doing good. Just came back to the hobby and bought my first space marines since 25 years.. I am gonna go with blood angels and I am thrilled!
Finally, my Miniac crops have been watered
That is some great looking greys. Looks so clean and crisp. Good job!
Exceptional quality as always Scott, the 3 way split screen you did showing three different angles of the fine detailed work was inspired. Awesome man
Such wonderful models and a beautiful painted finish.
Fantastic Vid Papa! A good way to say goodbye for this series! ... Now it's time to paint Leagues of Votann (?)
All of them…
Don't encourage him! Last I count there are 18 printable legions I count 10 marines boss.
I second this
@@bkromatic5921 9 technically since one of em is a sisters of battle😁
Really love this paint job. Yours was one of the first channels I watched when I came back painting and helped me up through... so... thanks a lot.
Loved the vibe of this video, hope you enjoyed making it too!
I hope you can make more tutorial-style videos where you talk about different styles of painting and how they change how you approach a miniature from assembly to priming to basing
This was a greatly anticipated video for me!! thanks for chatting with me on twitch as well!!
grats on finishing this project Scott. Also so cool to see all of them at the end and see your improvement over the years!
I think this is by far your best one yet. The effort and time taken shows on the end product. Great crisp highlights and clean transitions.
Seeing the progress of all the 'Eavy Metal Marines you've done over the years is down right inspiring and sad to see it go!
Though to end it all on such a high note, pure perfection bub. Great work as always.
That looks fantastic Scott!! Your skin work has improved quite a lot! Love the grey on grey scheme as well!
I've been looking forward to another Miniac video for a while now. As always you don't disappoint. Curious! Have you thought about painting up some D&D minis?
Awsome paint job. Gratz on finishing this series. Can't wait to see what you bring to the hobby next.
Top tier content!
Awe Yeah!!! I remember when this series started its cool to see its conclusion, and it's painted so freaking good!
That's a gorgeous paint job on a beautiful model. Couldn't have picked a better way to go out.
This looks fantastic-great work!
Your Eavy metal series is what got me into your channel, and back into mini painting. Looking forward to your other future projects!
I've watched these videos time and time again over the last WHAT FEELS LIKE A DECADE you've been doing this.
I think it's appropriate that the last one feels so much more "yours" and with your workflow, while still honoring the HM aesthetic and mindset.
You may not always see your growth as an artist first and foremost, but there are plenty of us who have. Proud of you Scoot Waters. 👍
I found this channel cause of the heavy metal style space marines videos. And have stayed because I love your style. I love listening to the long rambling thoughts/talks about miniature painting. Keep up the great content.
some high quality stuff right here! video, teaching , and paint job - thank you Scott!
I’ll miss this series!
Finally my favorite bois getting more love. This is amazing!
amazing work - that's a sick model and a beautiful paint job.
Was not expecting the beautiful vox at the end there, made the video 11/10
Beautiful paint job
Hey Bill, I have always been a fan of your work buddy... The painting techniques you use are some that I try to mimic. But this particular model is some FINE work! I have only been painting for 2 years, and your channel has helped me improve
@@Miniac1 I appreciate ya Bill! I mean that!
I’ve always wanted to see one of valbjorns minis painted! And by golly it is lovely
Great guide. I’ve really liked this series and I appreciate the way you explained this.
Sad to see it go but looking forward to all the things you'll do in the future.great work.
I found other channels that make some awesome Space Marine kitbash and paint schemes. Making cool Space Marine schemes requires a special skill set that not everyone has. So long and thank you for all the fish
Really enjoy that you showed the paints used clearly in case anyone wants to replicate your painting process. I being a SW player really liked this video.
is nice to see how you've improved over the 10 space marines. nice barometer for your skill developing. might aim to do something for that purpose
Valbjorn’s Spacewolves are amazing. He is the reason I am building a Spacewolves army. Well done young man!
Sad to see the end of your space marines but this was a beautiful piece of work. Well done.
Great result!!
This looks great, really enjoyed the discussion of each facet of the painting process, particularly face and hair.
What a great looking paint job.
Awesome work, thank for share your painting job!very good vidéo!
I'm sad to see Space Marines go. I understand people and painters go through different phases. I can understand how something over and over can become tedious. I hope that if and when that happens to me I can later rediscover what I loved about SMs.
Great Work ! ! !
I can’t express how happy I am for this vid because this color scheme is beautiful and I’m going to do my best to recreate it
I absolutely love this
Excellent video mate. I'd love to see more like this, but I can appreciate that it isn't your style entirely. I've followed the whole series and loved every one. Looking forward to seeing what the rest of 2023 holds for the channel!🤘
Brother it’s awesome seeing your content grow, although i am no content creator I feel that the shop talk has done tremendous help in my own art. Wonderful video my dude.
The intro gave me chills. Wow!
Congrats on reaching your goal of 10, and pardon the pun(s?) for drawing a line under that chapter of your painting journey. I literally couldn't agree more that there's more stuff out there to paint, and even in the 'space marine' genre there's TONS of _better_ stuff out there to paint.
Great video!!
This is easily your best marine. Valbjorns conversion is epic and you nailed that paintjob! That warm shadow for the armour really works and everything just came out so... Crispy.
Easily the best one done and also my favorite vid so far ❤❤❤
I really enjoy those longer videos :)
The real reason Scott wont submit this to Golden Demon is the Reoccurring nightmare he has of being known as 'Space Marine Scott' or 'The Marineiac'.
Your eavy metal series got me into miniature painting😊
TechnoViking is a Space-Wolf! Amazing work!
Not a space marine fan, so not bothered by this being the last. I do think you did an amazing job on this. I especially like the intro. Love seeing you being creative with the video editing and such.
Im so happy to see you end this series with my favorite chapter! What’s your favorite army in 40k? I’d love to see you do some Eldar (my favorite). Thanks as always for the awesome video!
Dark Eldar!
sweet a new Space Wolf
Love that Wolf Brothers model. Awesome paint scheme. Thanks for sharing.
Well, your thick highlight lines are more refined than what I can get done at best. Good job on the model, it looks great!
This series was great but probably needs a refresh for some of the older ones as you’ve improved so much. LETS GO AGAIN. 😆
The perfect collaboration for the perfect ending to the series 👍
Thanks for mentioning that website, i had never heard of it before looks like its full of great info :)
btw Scott I forgot to mention this - as a longtime Space Wolf fan... that intro was WONDERFUL.
Great video Scott!
I am going to be sad to see the eavy metal series go as seeing all those models at the end all painted to your eavy metal standard at the time really shows how you have improved over the years. Great series and I hope you do the same for another army/set of models so we can continue seeing the improvements and have a reference for such a good painters incremental improvements - maybe pick some models you would enjoy and change up the style for another series?
Hey dude, super freaky crossover of worlds, I helped build some of the core tech that comprises of the miniature configurator for eldritch foundry a few years ago. I'm a big fan of your videos here and trapped under plastic, so it was really neat to see Eldritch Foundry sponsoring your video. 😊
I've watched every video and loved them all. I am sad to see the series go and I would advocate for a way to expand the series into something similar - a "building on 'eavy metal" series or something where you can expand on their process or something.
Obviously, only do what you're passionate about, but as a longtime viewer, I have loved the series. Keep up the stellar work!
Saved the best for last, I see ;) great stuff, I learned some really cool stuff from this!
Possibly the best one from the series. Then again I have a soft spot for anything wolf ;)
I’m so glad you went with grey rather than baby blue.
That was one metal opening! Sad to see the space marine series go as it was the very thing that lead me to this channel when i was asking around for youtube tutorials when just starting out in the hobby. You were literally described to me as "A dude who paints space marines in the heavy metal style." That said, for me at least its served its purpose and I'm happy you can now move on to painting just those models which you like best. Awesome work as always!
probably because I'm starting a Space Wolves Army, but I loved this video and plan to use it to paint my army! Thanks for the details and steps!
Great stuff friend 👏 👍
the production of this video is Noice really hit that perfect balance
That's a real good paintjob for someone who hates Space Marine. Hats off !
Outstanding!! Both the videos the mini. You've given me some great advice, eg going over edges more times. And your blond hair recipe is a really good idea and something different from using Zandri Dust.
Thanks Scott and team 👍👍👍
Nice work!!! Titanium White is an unfriendly pigment at the best of times..
also - The intro was awesome! That model-to-model slide-left was sliiiick.👍
I truely hope that your jesting about space marines, I love when you paint them! I understand if your done painting them to the EM standard. Watching you paint SM was how I found your channel and thusly how I fell in love with your content. I wish you nothing but success!
Valbjorn does amazing conversions. Been following him for some time now.
Hey Scott, great vid as always! Just wondering what size brush you use for black lining and edge highlighting? Thanks for your time!
Got to see it this evening at Adepticon looks better in person. Great job
good job
🍻😎 Gratz on the completion of the series. This was the best of em all. Now go celebrate with some tendies and a Dew!
I just became a fan and it's too bad this is the last (Space Marine / video) in the series! I'll be looking forward to whatever comes next in your style!
I personally would like to see you teaching lessons painting models you enjoy, than see you paint models you don't. So, follow the passion and good videos will follow.
I know you hate SM, but this is damn cool and a great video!
Looks like you saved the best for last ( and I’m not a Space Wolves fan at all, but you nailed this one)
Ready for a 30 minute video on some incredible new model now 😉
The big take away here is that if you set Scott on a space marine project of any kind expect it to take 7 years. 🤣
i love this series. I feel like i've learned so much from these videos and it really feels a completed series now.
I'm glad to look forward to you painting things you want to paint rather than things you feel you need to paint to feed the algorithm. When your heart's in it your videos are always so much better.
With that said though, nice paint job!
Really loved this series Scott. Idea for a new series of “Eavy Metal” style, but for one model from each faction of age of sigmar 🙏 ❤
