🤔 I didnt do all of those extra steps. Took the 3 bolts from the top, 2 bolts from the bottom and pulled the strut out from the side. 07 Yukon Denali. 10min.
Good vid though
You can take it out the top without removing the upper a arm and steering linkage.
Very informative, thanks!
Do you have to drop the truck to ride height and tighten the bottom strut bottom torqu specs?
What are the actual torque specs, some videos say 75-80ft/lbs, but this video and Haynes Manuel say 37ft/lbs?
Do you need to pull anti seize on the threads?
I never put the hub caps on with a impact wrench , they are just plastic and will break.
How much torque for the big nut I don't think you showed that
You forgot to put axle nut & washer back on
That seems like too much, with all that out should’ve replaced upper control a arm , inner/outer tie rod
My Truck has 1 mounting but not 3. 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 classic 4.8
How long is this supposed to take a professional? I have a mechanic telling me that it will take 2 1/2 hours per front strut. After watching this video, it seems he's trying to rip me off.
And now, for an alignment.
Interesting how you skipped the wheel hub bolt.
WHAT??
