That was fun to watch. Nothing is more gratifying than allowing a fish to find his own way out of a net, and into an atmosphere tremendously better from where they came from. Love your channel.
hahahaha I knew ittttt😂You should do like a "Daily life of Jennie" video where you feed your fish and cats and maybe daily animal chores! That would be awesome to watch😸👍
I felt like we waited decades to see this new tank put all together and I was so excited to see that they were discus. I wish you the best for your new gorgeous fish, they're pretty unforgiving as pets.
discus are fun fish for breeding and aquarium fish just make sure you keep an eye on your water level your water balance pH and other water problems that you can get sometimes they can be a little delicate and hard to keep but your fish look great good luck and thanks for the video👍🐟
Beautiful discus! They love planted tanks, so some sort of tall background plants would be good for them. Good tankmates are cardinal tetras, rummynoses, and German blue rams, since they share the discus' temperature preferences.
I would love to see a video of your daily maintenance and feeding routine for all your animals. You've added so many cool new pets I'm amazed at how u manage it all while uploading so consistently!
I have been a fan of yours for at least a year and decided to start a fancy goldfish tank about 3 months ago. I have a 55 gal. tank and 8 fancy goldfish. Here are a few pictures of them. My husband and I purchased 2 alike at a time abut 2 to 3 weeks apart. They have really been growing alot. Thank you for all of your advice and excitement over keeping goldfish.
Planning on opening a pet store called "Pet Paradise" with my friend!Hopefully it'll actually happen! We'll have exotic animals, regular everyday pets, good pet products, betta fish in actual fish tanks and not cups,a vet in store, the right information, etc.
I love simplydiscus. So funny, I have fancy goldfish (blue orandas) and I decided about 2 months ago to keep discus. Have had a 46 gallon bow front cycling for a month now, and then jenny gets some too. Goldfish keepers sense?
I want to go back to keeping Discus but the reef tank take away most of my time... I'm from Brazil so they are special to me... maybe someday. tip: do not make sudden movements close to their tank or they will associate you with scary things and shy away every time you get close to the aquarium.
Jenni, I was having a really bad night and just watching this put me in a better mood only two minutes in. Idk why this type of video would make me feel better but it did so thank you.
Way To Go Jenny!! I was pretty sure you were going to get discus and I'm so pleased you did, your more than capable of taking great care of them. A friendly tip Jenny, be obsessive about not allowing uneaten food and fish poop to accumulate on the bottom nor in your canister filter. Spot vacuuming will go a long way trust me!
I've had a turtle for a couple of years now but only recently have I taken a serious interest in aquatic life, I've always loved the ocean and aquariums and such but now getting older and realizing that I want to be a marine biologist, it really makes me want to pursue a hobby of fish keeping. The fish are literally so beautiful.
I do not know the first thing about fish. The one Discus fish w/ the blue-ish coloring to it ~ is absolutely BEaUtiFul!! It makes me want to go get a tank. Lol 🐟🐠 Enjoy ur Tank & Fish, as I can imagine taking care of the tank & fish is part of the joy of owning them. The other being watching them and relaxing after a long day. ENJOY ... -Love from Maryland- 💜
Beautiful Choices. Pigeon Blood is my fav color of Discus and if I ever get any in the future thats what I would like the Blue Diamond. One of my plans for the future is an all Male Peacock African Clichlid tank and then a fully planted discus tank. #Goals
amazing discus , regarding your setup ,i knew that they will be discus already .since it is the best choice when we want switch from cold water fish to tropical one . the king of all aquarium fish .
Ahhhh finally you got them..i am very happy to see discus in your collection your videos are like energy boosters (except the axolotls video those water lizards are creepy)..anyways keep us updating about discuss and the care and food they need Love you
I've recently sold my 12 discus to swap my tank into a fancy goldfish display tank... I've had about 25 or so discus over 3 years in different set ups.. They can be shy but once use to you they'll happily feed from your hand... nice strains to start off too..
Years ago, you didn't seem that interested in Discus based on their lack of personality. It's nice to see you've expanded your interests. So wait, if you've ventured into the realm of Discus after a change of heart, does that mean my least favorite fish, Arowana, may find a home in a tank near me?....gulp🤢.
bitch I'm shook I can't get over the scowling expression and they just bore me. I always ignore them in pet stores. The only one I very mildly appreciate is Joey's, The King of D.I.Y.
Discus! I was right! They are such pretty fish! I personally would have just put up a black background, the would stand out so much. Right now with the stone wall you're not getting the full beauty of them, they kind of blend in.
They're so preeeetty! I knew it was discus! I thought, "discus would love that tank and look great in it," I'm so excited for more videos! I'm still stuck on your second bookmark, I'm out of the purple I use. Should be able to get it in two days. :)
All my discus took 3-4 days to come out and eat after arrival and about a week before they were full comfortable with me. I feed mine (homemade beef heart blend)outta my hand all the time to keep that connection and they are skittish at all.
I've loved the idea of owning discus but I've only got a small community tank at the moment so just want to learn more before I get discus. But I work at a pet store and recently became in charge of feeding them every day. And the discus are already comfortable enough to eat from my hand.
Those are beauties! I guess the setup of the tank now makes more sense to me, I had no idea at all which fish they were going to be! Love the video as always! Enjoy the new fish!
As soon as you said the most difficult I knew what you were getting! I'm only part way through the video so I'm excited to see what colors you picked out. My FIRST aquarium (before goldfish) was those guys and they weren't too bad at all. Such little waste producers compared to goldfish. I have pretty awful water quality here due to being on city water (comes out with 1+ppt amonia, chlorine, chloramines, etc) and they thrived and grew so quickly! I definitely had one become dominant and grow twice as fast as the rest though. I fed a lot of bloodworms and blackworms and had corydoras for a clean up crew, it worked out really well!
I've had over 40 discuss and for me they are surprisingly easy to take care of! but not for beginner fish keepers because they can get lots of diseases and you need to know how to treat them
It really truly annoys me when people say, don't put your fish in a bowl, when they're having fish shipped in boxes, yes I guess they're only in there for a couple days. As you know most fish that get shipped are from other countries/states and plane rides/traveling is long and could be rough and if you're like me you live in America, that is waaaaaaay to long for a fish to be in a box with no light no food. Although the box says live animals or fragile it doesn't mean they're technically going to be safe, I'm not hating on Jen, I'm also not a fan of goldfish bowls.
I've seen some set-ups with floating plants (even fake if you like) and the lower lighting and cover tends to calm the discus down quite a bit. A bit more similar to their natural env't

DISCUS!!
I was expecting this comment! :D
The king of DIY Yaaaaaas! Would love to see a collab with you two.
Also I'm loving your fish house so far, excited to come on the journey with you.
The king of DIY YEAH!
The king of DIY Nooo you ruined it😂 I love your videos btw!
Of course Joey had to bless this channel .
Knew it. And yes she's right. Discus are terrible to keep. They're gorgeous but they're so sensitive. I hope she does well
EarthSerenity The tank bred versions can be pretty hardy actually.
EarthSerenity hmm i think discus is not that difficult. I used to own them. believe me. not that difficult to pet them in my environment
yep and it sadly did not work out
I hope the same goes for a gold fish as well. Needs a lot of expertise & finesse to keep them healthy & alive in my opinion.
Not that hard. I breed them, and I’m only 13.
That was fun to watch. Nothing is more gratifying than allowing a fish to find his own way out of a net, and into an atmosphere tremendously better from where they came from. Love your channel.
0:32 Are we really gonna ignore how that cat just disappeared
She skipped the part where the cat moves.
Witchcraft
Lol
I jumped up the shelf 🤣
hahahaha I knew ittttt😂You should do like a "Daily life of Jennie" video where you feed your fish and cats and maybe daily animal chores! That would be awesome to watch😸👍
sparkly equine YES YES YES YES
I love how when the fish are dropped into the net they don't move and are like "well I have accepted my fate"
please put some plants on the driftwood for them :) Some anubias and Java fern would do good
i love the music you played while dropping the fish in their new home (:
I felt like we waited decades to see this new tank put all together and I was so excited to see that they were discus. I wish you the best for your new gorgeous fish, they're pretty unforgiving as pets.
discus are fun fish for breeding and aquarium fish just make sure you keep an eye on your water level your water balance pH and other water problems that you can get sometimes they can be a little delicate and hard to keep but your fish look great good luck and thanks for the video👍🐟
WOW. WOW. THOSE FISH ARE SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!
Congratulations! They are in the best hands possible ❤
when you pulled out the bag i literally thought it was an orange peel lol
I LOVE THEM!!
I just love how they see each other and swim out the net to go with their buddies. AWWW.
also it would help to just put a couple of Life plants floating around or on the bottom of the tank for the water and your fish
Me interesa los goldfish veiltail ,batterflit, y cola de pollera
Beautiful discus! They love planted tanks, so some sort of tall background plants would be good for them. Good tankmates are cardinal tetras, rummynoses, and German blue rams, since they share the discus' temperature preferences.

They're like candies that swim. Beautiful!

WHAAATT!! You got Discus fish!
I love them!
Can't wait to see the collab with Joey!
*_Keep up the good work and thumbs up!_*

Btw I totally guessed they were discuses, but for two seconds I thought you got sting rays XD
same here
Pastel Rat Wierdly ironic I did to
Pastel Rat sting rays in 90 gal?
My first thought was sting rays
Wow thanks for the spoiler
Beautiful discus I haven't bred or kept them for over 50years. Can't believe the colours they have these days --wonderful and a pleasure to watch
I love simplydiscus. So funny, I have fancy goldfish (blue orandas) and I decided about 2 months ago to keep discus. Have had a 46 gallon bow front cycling for a month now, and then jenny gets some too. Goldfish keepers sense?
An ad popped up just right as you were pulling up the first bag lol fail
i think they do that on purpose lol
Cooldoge 0 yeah she puts them there herself. every youtuber does that actually..
Cooldoge 0 ha it didn't do that for me😝
Garnet I know you could care less, but youtubers can't actually place their own adds. They are automatically placed randomly:)
Cooldoge 0 lol
I want to go back to keeping Discus but the reef tank take away most of my time... I'm from Brazil so they are special to me... maybe someday.
tip: do not make sudden movements close to their tank or they will associate you with scary things and shy away every time you get close to the aquarium.
yayayayaya and also update us with your axololtls ❤️❤️❤️
Just learned something new with the canister filter lol! Crazy how I never knew the use of that lever lmao. Thanks!
wow ive never seen those yellow ones before, im in love!
I knew she was gonna get discus! the drift wood and tall tank were a giveaway. nice..
Jenni, I was having a really bad night and just watching this put me in a better mood only two minutes in. Idk why this type of video would make me feel better but it did so thank you.
Beautiful fish. Quite stressed but I would be to after shipping. Good luck with them.
I love the way you appreciate all your fish, and adore them. And to be honest; they really are beatiful!
Do you think you'll add any plants? I think the discus would love some tall vals or something.
I like how calm the discus are when they are being transported into the aquarium.
Omg had to stop watching rupauls drag race to watch this! Lol
Discus, yay, I guessed right! Lol so many people guessed that
Yaasss queen slay!!!
Mama Ru would approve, no rupaulogies
Haley Tetroe Omg you to I thought I was the only one
LMAOO MEEEE
Way To Go Jenny!! I was pretty sure you were going to get discus and I'm so pleased you did, your more than capable of taking great care of them. Jackson Henderson they are! I'm England there about £80 in America that's about $100!
Zahraa Elkhochen technically its 1 word and an abbreviation...
They all died pretty quick. Bummer.
Tammara Xox here in England they are £40!
Rip it good
Wow litrally as you started pulling the first fish bag an add cut in that added to the suspense
Great choice!! I'm a goldfish and discus lover as well. Both easily the most beautiful fish for your home.
Jim Hanley i glanced at your comment and all i read was "I'm a goldfish"
I've had a turtle for a couple of years now but only recently have I taken a serious interest in aquatic life, I've always loved the ocean and aquariums and such but now getting older and realizing that I want to be a marine biologist, it really makes me want to pursue a hobby of fish keeping. Ues
Pop Corn me

Pop Corn I saw the cat.
Awww, Discus' I'd never heard of these until I started watching Joey and I fell in love with them
Ahh they are beautiful. Hope they stay healthy + happy. The cichlids I've seen in stores are full of personality, maybe just give them some time?
I do not know the first thing about fish. The one Discus fish w/ the blue-ish coloring to it ~ is absolutely BEaUtiFul!! It makes me want to go get a tank. Lol 🐟🐠

Beautiful Choices. Pigeon Blood is my fav color of Discus and if I ever get any in the future thats what I would like the Blue Diamond. One of my plans for the future is an all Male Peacock African Clichlid tank and then a fully planted discus tank. #Goals

Waiting for the collab with joey, anyone else?
Albino Macedo man... it would be awesome to collab with joey
Luna harmony 1987 he visited her so I'm pretty sure a video is inbound from one of them or hopefully both
they did! They just need to release the video!
Albino Macedo yes
Albino Macedo my 1st thought when you mentioned joey is she got an arowana? isn't the tank is too small? and then she opened discus lol
Oh wow, I've seen those discus ones once before and I just assumed they were salt water. Those are really pretty fish.
Excellent pickup good luck with these one day I'll grab a school of these
.
I guess I was some what close - I said severums. Great looking tank and I look forward to seeing them grow up!

Arowanas are great

TinRelic1. So is pasta without tomato sauce, but I can't eat it like that either😜.
Discus! I was right! They are such pretty fish! I personally would have just put up a black background, the would stand out so much. Right now with the stone wall you're not getting the full beauty of them, they kind of blend in.
They are beautiful
I love how they don't flop around when out of water!
Awesome ! They are beautiful !
They come around, my dad has had them for so long and they are pretty funny when they see him vs me or someone else, they LOVE to see him lol
They're so preeeetty! I knew it was discus! I thought, "discus would love that tank and look great in it," I'm so excited for more videos!
I'm still stuck on your second bookmark, I'm out of the purple I use. Should be able to get it in two days. :)
Well done! Bucket list item for sure! I am so happy for you, love those fish, such a nice quality video too!
Such Pretty fish
10:12 many discus keepers ignore that confinement and happiness are not synonymous
What are repligia discus?? I probably didn't spell that right sorry
Nicole Hartle rafflesia
I LOVE DISCUS!!! I ended up finding out about them from The King of DIY. Absolutely ADORE these fish!!
Get a turtle!
Get a life
Not turtle a tortoise
Turtle!!!
LizRadical858 She cant get a pet beacause you want to, she is the one who chooses what to have
All my discus took 3-4 days to come out and eat after arrival and about a week before they were full comfortable with me. I feed mine (homemade beef heart blend)outta my hand all the time to keep that connection and they are skittish at all.
SEEING YOU POST VIDEOS MAKES ME LEGITIMATELY EXCITED

Ive been waiting
I'm glad I didn't say which type of cichlid/s, I would have been wrong, discus are very beautiful fish!
Nice!!
As soon as you said hardest in an aquarium I thought a great white shark lol
Omg I love your hair
Yes Nice Hair
Those are beauties! I guess the setup of the tank now makes more sense to me, I had no idea at all which fish they were going to be!
Love the video as always! Enjoy the new fish!
IVE NEVER SEEN SUCH CUTE FISH
I'm happy to see someone who actually did research before purchasing a living creature!!!!
You should install an AIR PUMP ASAP
They are so fantastic! The yellow ones make me think of golden pancakes with glorious syrup on them!
Very beautiful fish!
As soon as you said the most difficult I knew what you were getting! I'm only part way through the video so I'm excited to see what colors you picked out. I would toss some floating plants in there because discus really like having cover to hide under. Good luck :)
