âNo offense, but Wal-Mart does a better job than this!â That was hilarious, Man-behind-the-scenes cracks me up! đ€Ł
Lol
That adapter on the Volvo oil pan is like a check valve. You take the cap off and screw on another adapter that has a short hose on it. There is a spring or rod on this adapter that opens the valve as you screw it on. Much easier way to change oil. I added this to all of my vehicles. Buy long funnels and add a piece of hose on them. I have some tractors that are like your GMC.
Yup Need fo get one
Ya know what separates dirt perfect and let's dig 18 and a few other popular channels y'all have clean family friendly channels there's a few channels that are literally just not family friendly channels.mr dirt perfect thank you for always having clean content that my kid can watch.sincerly digger Jon from Oregon
Thanks appreciate that
đIn the dark age when I worked on cars for a living I use to say đ đŁ that engineers need to work as a mecanic for 10 years before they engineered a car or a truck.
Stay safe all of you
I agree
@@DirtPerfect I am an engineer (I have a PE license in Oregon) who works on all his own stuff, cars, tractors and a couple of airplanes I built. I agree with this sentiment 100%. I have cursed a number of engineers who clearly never picked up a wrench in their lives!
Y'all ain't right, and that's okay with me. Lol. Thanks for the laughs. Have a blessed and safe week.
Lol thanks buddy
I just had to watch this video a second time. Smoke wrench and BFH. That is classic shop talk.
Lol yup
Oh my gosh DP!!!!!đđđđ You two together are like Laurel and Hardy!!!đđđđ I hope Macy and Gunner never let you live this one down!!!
I truly LOL at the end!!!
I love shop days with you and Aaron!đ
Mike next time you have a dirty oil problem in the engine compartment, try mixing (50%) Dawn Dish Detergent and water in a spray bottle, spray the effected area and let it sit for 5-10 min, before using the pressure washer. You'll be amazed at the finished product.
đ
Lmao Mikey stuck under the truck. Loved the video keep em coming ole boy
I was really surprised that Mr. DP didnât have Aaron wax the 850! Then the Jerry knows that you really mean business and take care of the equipment!
Should have
I used to work for 4 brothers that had 4 quad milk trucks and a semi and they changed their own tires and would even "flip" the tires on the rim to keep the wear even. They did it all by hand, and had a cage to put the tire in when airing it up. They did a lot of tire changing. They also did their own oil changes and greasing along with brake adjustment and occasionally change a spring pack. They bought their oil and grease by the barrel.
Lots of work
It's comforting to see that I'm not the only one who has gotten wedged under a vehicle...lol..
Very nice... My daughters would have left me there and swiped my wallet.
What? No paint on the refurbished part? I know , you'd have to repaint everything!
I enjoy Aaron's work ethics. He reminds me so much of myself with his mechanical skills and fabrication skills. Mike you have a keeper in your workforce!
Man behind the scenes is hilarious. Im glad you guys have fun working together. Makes for great videos!
Stuck under the truck! Lol
Lol
Enjoyed the video. Had to laugh at "Johnny Poke Ain't No Joke" as wrestling name. I'm sure the crowd goes wild hearing that name. Nice work, Aaron and Mr Dirt Perfect. Love the fun relationship you guys have with one another, even in not so good days. The tire changing process was in fast mode but I could still make out the expletives. (haha)đ. Full-watch.đđœđ.
Well you take care of your equipment and it will take care of you, you might have to get Arron some leg extension. Kids done a good job absolutely love your channel take care stay safe god bless
Thanks appreciate that
Mike youâre good but MAN BEHIND THE SCENES is awesome đ rock and roll đž
Never a dull moment in this video bro.
Maintenance is SO MUCH less expensive than BREAK DOWN! Smart! Know what? Most all your equipment has cloth (fabric) interior seats. Suggestion! Pick up a can or two of SCOTCH GUARD and spray the fabric. This will keep the dirt from sinking in. You could actually POUR a PEPSI on the seat and watch it roll right off. Just a thought for you.! Sonny (CT) I'm back. You know @ 39:48 rather than hammer those bearings back in, you could have turned them sideways in that vise you used and the socket and "Pressed" them in. (just sayin - never complainin!)! And AARON, nice work as always and if you want things to go a lot easier for you, don't forget to always say, "SIMON SAYS"!!!
Very true and thanks sonny
Great job straightening out piston brackets, that's what I would have done. Put a hose on funnel to reach to oil fill, get it on the next time lol.
Great on tire change, right, easier after doing a few. You made it look easy. Looks like quick connection on Volvo, like air hose. They try to make things easier but everyone is different lol
You need to get some of that spray
gel that's fire retardant to spray on hoses when heating or welding near them...It works great ..The guy that demonstrated it to us took a styrofoam cup put the gel on it then hit it with the cutting touch and it didn't melt the cup... Sad thing is I don't remember the name of it but got it from the welding supplier
I agree that would ease my nerves when Iâm running the torch đ° that face is how I feel sometimes lol đ
Y'all are a pair great video
Thanks
maintenance--maintenance--maintenance is the key!!!!!!!!!!!!
đ
That regular upkeep in the shop is what keeps a piece of equipment efficient on the job. When your operators know the machine will perform well, they will get more out of it.
Love it when you and Aaron are together never a dull moment
20 years or more in the tyre business, roger that, stand up the assembly, shake a little is all that most need. :)
I love it. Shared it with my son!
Thanks
Great video Mike. Have a great day.
Thanks
I finally got to the end of the video, and it was awesome so Guys keep up the great work and stay safe out there
Lol thanks
Good video again I always like shop videos good job on equipment up thatâs how you keep equipment running good my friend be safe
Thanks Glenn
Always an enjoyment to watch đ
Thanks
I think some new guards are in order. Man-Behind-The-Scenes Can Fab Some Newer & Heavier ones, That will take a little more abuse. In the long run, Won't be part of the regular maintenance program!!.. You Guy's Rock!!..
Good that you guys have fun makes the day go by fast.
Yes it does
My google machine said one year anniversary gifts were traditionally paper......I suggest cardboard cut outs of Manbehindthescenes and DP (AFTER his "makeover" from the HR dept.) surrounded by Amazon packaging.....they fight like ANY married couple I know including me and my wife .đđ
Lol
MBTS, I am "watchin and learnin" too!
Shew thats some hard core tire wrestling. I remember those days. Grandpa wouldn't even get us bead blaster it was ether an lighter to seat tire
Aaron just say yes and everything will be ok.i feel for you
Just someone has the job more too clear it's all good there đđđ
If u don't take care of it it won't last great video keep up the good work
That was most enjoyable đ
Oh my.. had a laugh at Aaron standing up in the cab of the Volvo.. Surprised he hid the booster seat..
Lol
I'm stuck and that's no joke lol
đ„șđđ
We had the same issue with our Cat powered Chevy. Clamped about 2 feet of 3/4" heater hose to a funnel to fill the oil. Kept it in a huge ziplok bag behind the seat.
Good job boys. Love the videos.
Thanks
Those solid rims make it so much safter to change tires. I hated those split three piece split rims. Seen many tire cages sacrifice themselves to contain a catastrophic failure while airing up a tire. I especially hated the split rims with the hollow centers that required the wedges to secure the rim to the hub. It took more time to adjust the wedges so the tire assembly didn't wobble than it took to change out the tire!
Love the video y'all having too much fun man
Thanks
Loved the end clip. Brother every time I watch a video I want to move over to the states and start working for you the laugh a minute to me is worth more than the pounds/dollars a hour it's how I run my crew no matter how hard the job having a good crew and boss and the ability to have a laugh I find we get tonnes more done sick day rates go down productivity goes up and where all happy. Much love to you all keep safe
Lol thanks mark
No problem mate awesome video love the mechanic side I'm a recovery mechanic and plant machinery mechanic my self so love the shop days also I love that dozer
Hi Dirt you two crazy guys crack me up love watching your videos đ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
Thanks
Good job
I swear you 2 remind me of Amos and andie. Or me and my old boss. We did the same one up ins
Funnel with a piece of garden hose works very well and u don't have to fight it. That's how we did my dads oil.
So how much oil the Volvo take? U never said lol lol. Grab it all the right way makes the work easier. U should try the funnel and garden hose and tell me how u like it.
The Emery cloth may hurt. But the grease won't. Lol lol
Should have done the whole thing lol lol. Have a great day DP.
Great video Mike as always. I see you got the man behind the scenes but Nolan hope he's putting in the right place. I enjoy all your videos Mike. Mike you need to look at the Kubota Minis
Thanks and had one hated it
DR. DP is not always right, butt he's always the Boss!!!
Thatâs right
Man, that being stuck under the truck triggered my claustrophobia a bit. :( Great video! :)
Lol sorry
Excellent work.... on the part of Macy and Gunner! I hope they'll forgive me if I've misspelled their names! :-)
Lol thanks Chris
@@DirtPerfect My pleasure! :-)
Hi Mike
I really love your channel. Nice videos.
I notice that you dont really clean the tracks and under the machines. Whilst i understand they will probably get messed up at the next job site its good to sweat the pressure cleaner a bit and give the whole machine a nice clean up to the next job site. Even the excevators need a good clean every 2 weeks. You have good machines reserve 2 days a month where possible to give them a good clean up. Aa you said when you take care of your machines other people will do same i agree 100%.
Thanks and wast of time machines donât stop moving long enough to do that
I have had 3 Kubota tractors in the last 25 years & other than changing a wheel seal in 2 of them I think they are a quality machine.
đ
Always something to do in the shop
Oh hell ... well howdy from Oakland City!
As a funnel alternative you can pour down something like a length of rebar, all-thread or other field expedient object. Particularly appreciated on a windy day.
And that is no joke...lol
Lol
Man Behind the Scenes you're the smart one
So mister DP you greased youâre equipment youâre good for another year đlol keep up the good work
...hey Dirt....they have those shirts at the store?....the store should have some "as seen on TV" signs in the window....fun stuff !...
Lol
Hell for a minute there I thought he was filling it from the top with no funnel. I thought that cause as you already know y'all are the man even behind the scenes!!!
3 foot length of garden hose and a funnel to fill the oil into the GMC.
Looks like 5 gallon bucket would work fine as catch pan under the Volvo. I use a 5 gallon bucket with 2/3 of the top cut off as a catch pan for changing the oil on my car.
We miss man behind the scenes! Tell him hi! from his fans!
He will be back soon
"I've been known to shove sticks where sticks don't belong." đČ. đ
It's the Engineer who is messing around with the Mechanics wife. That guy is designing stuff like that. đ đ€Ł
lol đ
Why dont you get a transmission funnel and a piece of 3/4 heater hose about 2 feet long, slide it on the funnel. I cut the bottom of the funnel off on mine so the opening was bigger and oil flowed faster. You could even engineer a bracket to hold the top of the funnel also. Makes changing/adding oil a lot easier on difficult to reach engines and transmissions.
A little green hose screws on the Volvo drain it works great never had an issue with it.. Looks like the exact setup as the Volvo I ran...The hydraulic drain filter can be messy make sure you release the pressure with the button on top of the tank...lol
Cabin filter could be better engineered
The next time you change the tires use your tire bar for leverage to lift the tires much easier also they do make longer valve core tools some with large bore and small bore. Large bore would be bubba dump
Yeah I need the bath too
The jack leg was under the truck! đđđđ
đ„șđ
When I to check the trucks over at work and they needed oil added. I found it a lot easier on that engine adding the oil with quarts work a lot better than gallons.
đ
Oh ... I can give you one better ... one of our trucks came from the factory with a clutch grease fitting that pointed straight up at the bottom of the cab. You couldn't get a tool in there to turn it or change it. We ended up drilling a hole through the cab floor to get too it.
Job well done ....diffenetly you need a hydraulic car lifter to make your life much easier...that is what that big garage is missing...
Nice
Itâs a good thing you guys tookGeometry in High Schoolđ
đ
Aww I knew we were gonna miss the kids pulling him outđąđąđą
Ever done split ring wheels? Did those back in 60s and early 70s and ag tires in the field! Course I'm 65.
Yes scar the crap out of me
If you had an oil tank set up like dealers or large mechanic shops you don't need a funnel, just stick the hose from the fill pump in there and squeeze the trigger. We had fancy ones at the trash company I used to work at that you could set to how much oil to put in the truck and they auto shut off. Does look like you could use some larger drain pans, one shop I was at had a big square one on wheels held 15-18 gallons. Granted it takes two guys to empty it but it sure was handy.
Hi Mike you are good at making things why not make a oil pump to put your oil in your aqiutment
Thought about it
Seems like a lot of HOT air in there, while all that WORK was being done. BUTT enjoyed
Thanks
Milwaukee needs help maintenance shop out since you rep the Milwaukee grease gun.
Lol I agree
The soap commercial at the beginning was perfect. You must be popular with CZcams. Very very little political context except an occasional question on whether you must cover your loads. Stay safe. I let those commercials run. Best one is the Chinese Tic Tack. Eaglegards...
Lol perfect
3/4 tube may fit on a funnel and extend it
Was in tell city Sunday for my wifes grandmas funeral and ate lunch at the bowling alley and met some really good people big fan
Yes mom said she talked to you guys Janet was my great ant small world
About time you washed your equipment
Get you a small Harbor Freight furniture dolly and 2 5 gal buckets. Screw 1 bucket to the dolly and set the other into it. Roll it right under the machine.
đ
Mike I reckon what you need for your sump oil drain adapter is a threaded piece of pipe on one end, something like I/2â npt or similar probably some metric thread, not sure of thread size but something like that, just screw the pipe into your adapter and oil drains, itâs a tool you could make if you wanted to or buy one, some cat machines have them for there hydraulic tank drain,
đ
Aaron sounds like Carl Childers. I bet he can do a heck of a impression
Lol
The guard did itâs job protecting that cylinder so no harm no foul
When you service the machines you should think of vacuuming the floor boards ha ha
Speaking of the pressure washer, you should have taken sometime inside the transfer box.
Look at the grill it will explain everything đ€Ł
đ
should make a round plate to cover the drain hole, with one bolt on the front side to hold it closed.
You know you could put a hose on the end of the funnel to reach that fill tube ; but I guess that would be to easy right !
