- Join myself The MacMaster in Tenerife as interview the legend Joe Quaranta that used to own Bobby's Bar on the Veronicas Strip in Tenerife.
Joe and his nightclub Bobby’s were featured on Sky Television's Tenerife Uncovered in the 90s - and on BBC Television's Tenerife’s Eastenders: King of Clubs in the 2000s.
Joe Quaranta gained fame in 2017 competing on the eighteenth series of the UK's Big Brother.
Joe Quaranta is very well know on the Island of Tenerife for running the most famous nightclub in Tenerife in the 80's, 90's and 00's
Now Joe Quaranta has a new venture, he's opened up Wigan Pier in Costa Adeje in Tenerife with LIVE Acts, Food and Drink and Karaoke plus LIVE Football Matches from The Premiere League.
Pop along and say hi, you can find Joe there most days when there's a LIVE football match on. Plus you might even see a few other famous faces as well!

Great interview Lee you might remember I was so looking forward to it, in fact I've watched it twice now. Brilliant memories (and some I can't remember) of August 99 at Bobby's on our lads holiday too. Definitely checking out the Wigan Pier in March when we are over next. 🍻👍

We shall definitely be paying Joe a visit when we are back in Tenerife because our friends apartment is in the mare verde and it’s very near to the Wigan pier and it was a good bar years ago but had gone down hill recently and when we were out in October and bumped into Lee near the Kaluna we saw Joe working on getting the bar ready for opening and I bumped into Ricky Hatton in the Laguna

After reading some of these comments it goes to show that most of the negative ones have no idea of what they are on about and have probably never even seen Joe, we had the pleasure of meeting Joe in 2014 his was looking after his mates bar below what used to be Bobby's bar, and was nothing but a polite and true gentleman and nice to talk too.all the best Joe good luck with Wigan peir see you next year👍
In the 90's / late 90's Mr's T's (open air disco) had the best vibe in Tenerife. For clubbers & music lovers. I saw the same people coming back every night. The DJ's just worked it well. Busbys was better later on for House music. Bobbys was more R&B commercial & UK garage. Just saying! Paradise was a good after party too after 6am

Have owned a timeshare in Tenerife for 30 years and frequented Bobby’s Bar on many occasions during the late 80’s, early 90’s. One night though, I was filming in there and some character tapped me on the shoulder and asked me what I was doing filming. He implied that the bar had been given a bad press in the media and thought I was up to no good. He didn’t seem to realise that I loved the place and was just filming for posterity. Btw, the original Wigan Pier, was based at the location of my timeshare at Sunset Bay, before it relocated to its current position. The old bar at Sunset Bay, is now called the Wigan Arms. Anyway, good luck with the Wigan Pier Joe. 👍🏼

It could be he might be slightly autistic? Some autistic people cannot look anyone in the eye, it's not their fault. I don't know him or never met him so I can't confirm obviously but it could be why. I don't get why there are negative comments? He seems a nice enough geezer and he made many peoples holidays with that club.
