  • This is how you put a FORD F150 into Brake Maintenance Mode - Parking Brake Service Mode or Service Mode OR Electronic Parking Brake Service Mode
You need to do this in order to compress the rear brake calipers. If you don't, the new pads won't fit!
Plus it's always a good idea to deactivate the Parking brake so it doesn't accidentally activate while your hands are near!
    This goes for 2015 2016 2017 2018 2019 2020 2021 2022 Ford F-150 F150 F150

Man I been so worried about doing my rotors on this version of the F150 cause my Lariat was a regular parking brake which made things easy. Now I have the platinum and I don’t want to pay for maintenance plus I’m doing an upgrade and was wondering why I can’t use the regular style rotors if it has the electric brake? Wanted to get some Stoptech rotors and can’t cause I have the electric braking. So what makes them so different? If you would know by a chance.

So the difference between rotors for a regular parking brake and an electronic parking break are the rotors for the Regular parking brake Have a bigger housing because of the parking brake shoes and hardware. It is much deeper than the one with only electronic parking brake because the electronic one has the brake built into the caliper So it has a much smaller inner housing.
Let me know if that makes sense to you.
