My husband and I had a similar situation( money or be there). . .we have four, the last was our only son . . .so he missed his only son being born, but we decided it was best for him to work. . . It was rough. . .but it worked out so great, because he made enough money that we could both stay off for 6 month with the baby!

Listening to this brings up a lot of emotions about our recent addition to the family. He was in the NICU five weeks, an hour away, over a toll bridge. We couldn't visit everyday, sometimes not even every other day. And dad was able to visit less than me. Many of the emotions you were feeling and that you verbalized were inside of me and I'm sure are inside of my husband too.
You were so hard on yourself. And that I think is a act of selflessness! Your never worthless! Your presence near or far was necessary and your wife!!! Made sure to allow you that! Thank goodness. And I hope you all fit comfy in your new transportation

This has to be one of the best and most heartfelt moments I’ve ever seen in my life. I really appreciate the raw and real video, experience, recount and perspective. My husband and I don’t have children so watching your wife’s experience was so eye opening and so real that it frighten yet excited me for one day having my own. I can’t express how much I appreciate you and your family opening your home to us and millions of others. I’m so happy I found and subscribed to your channel.

Glen, I cannot imagine what it was like to witness your son's birth remotely and then work with (predominantly) people you didn't know who didn't know you. How could you possibly know how to be? The feels, the responses, the complexity, and the mix of miracle and separate. My respect for you increased huge with this. And I said everything in my comment on the birth video. All you can do is your best, which you did. The amazing Raheem DeVaughn said during an Insta live a few weeks ago, "Lessons are blessings," and I know you must have learned all kinds of things for yourself. Listening to this brings up a lot of emotions about our recent addition to the family. He was in the NICU five weeks, an hour away, over a toll bridge. We couldn't visit everyday, sometimes not even every other day. And dad was able to visit less than me.
Many of the emotions you were feeling and that you verbalized were inside of me and I'm sure are inside of my husband too.
Take it easy on yourself, you did what you could in the circumstance. I hope the new addition is doing great now. Much love to you all.

I'm speechless. This was beautiful. Makes me think about all of our birth stories (3) and how with each birth we wanted it to be perfect...NONE of them went as planned, I grieved each of my births and all for different reasons. I'm so thankful that your midwife was able to help you all begin a healing journey for this birth.
