“...that is a BUUUUURNING QUESTION!” 😂
It's your funeral, lmao
HOLD IT that may be the first time someone anticipated, or even wanted Columbo to come back or not leave, "have you gone" AND save Columbo from his famous one more question routine AFTER he left.
WONDERFUL clip to a wonderful show
He hands Columbo the murder weapon and makes an inside joke about it being indispensable. Nice.
And gets his fingerprints and Columbo's all over it.
‘Wife and I do everything together. ‘ 😂😂😂🤪🥴 This is hilarious stuff. The best detective series in the history of Television.
I'm almost willing to bet he adlibbed that line. It's very Peter Falk.
Agreed
“You turn up the heat and away you go.”
“What temperature would that be, sir?”
“Sixteen hundred degrees.”
“And my wife doesn’t even like a sun burn.” 😂😂
Does anybody like sunburn?
I swear my 2 favorite killer quotes are "you're always in the neighborhood" from murder by the book and "have you gone?" from this one.
If burning questions turn to ashes, Columbo will interrogate the dust.
The episodes with McGoohan are always a treat!
I have just recently become a Columbo fan. Now I can't get enough of the show. I'm howling at the last lines, "I'm going to the police car and wondering if we should travel separately or perhaps you care to join me?" Columbo, "Well it's up to you sir. It's your funeral." 😆
For a bit of oddity - When Patrick McGoohan died in 2009 he was cremated. Peter Falk died in 2011 and he was buried in Westwood Village Memorial Park Cemetery in Los Angeles, California.
September 1998. I remember watching this on my 13" t.v screen. Both Falk and McGoohan are gone now.
"... in you pop, and away you go." Somehow, I anticipated this dialogue." Terribly, morbidly, disrepectfully, funny.
Rhe mortician was so proud of that joke at the end.
3:53 "Ah that is a BURRRRRRRNING question, sir!"
When he listen behind the door...his face, might as well be watching a horror movie.
I thought you were going to say that his face was FROM a horror movie.
I love this scene. So many good scenes between these two.
No body, no crime, Shawn! - Gus
You can see from all of McGoohan episodes just how much these two enjoyed working together. There's always this undercurrent of gamesmanship between them that comes across as so palpable and tense.
Patrick McGoohan died in 2009 was the secret agent man or danger man, the creator of the Prisoner and handsome 6 feet and2 inches. He was cremated. He was an incredible actor. And moral in his real life. He was born in Astoria Queens of all places by Irish immigrant and they went back to Ireland. He was mathematical and lived on a farm. He I read he ran a chicken farm drove a lorey etc became a stage hand of some sort. He married and stayed married from the 1950s to a British actress and had three daughters. He was the highest paid actor in England in the 1960s and passed over the hum drum offers Dr No 007 etc to do the prisoner. I admired him and he was a stunningly handsome man. Check out his secret agent man or danger man series on yu tube.
Thank you for that summary and wonderful life on Mr. McGoohan. All of us should live the life He did. GOD bless Him..
Have you gone, I can put money on it that he'll be back. 🤔
Is it just me or does he look a lot like the "Mr Steinmetz" false identity he made up when he played the CIA double agent "Nelson Brenner" in the 70's episode "Identity Crisis"? Patrick McGoohan's daughter Catherine also played a role in this episode.
Ya i always thought he looked like steinmetz too in this episode, thats funny
You can be pretty sure that Patrick was fully aware of his resemblance to his Steinmetz character from long ago and probably deliberately adopted the look.
2 characters, same actor..... he was in other episodes too
No body no crime, Shawn! - Gus
I wish the full clip of this episode will be uploaded....would love that very much.
Welcome to my parlor. Creeeepy!
@@Backup_Plan no body no case... unless Columbo is working it.
Of all the clips I've seen of Columbo on youtube, this one makes me laugh the most. Why are they shouting!
"They're just ashes! Ashessss? Have you gone..!?"
I love that ending.
I don't recall mcgoohan in this episode. He was the military school commandant, lawyer political fixer and international man of intrigue but I missed this one
The full episode please sir.
Tubi
Is it just me or can anyone else picture McGoohan playing Alfred? (if he were still alive or had the role offered to him back then)
He sounds like Bane though
@@thefakewitchdoctor Tom Hardy's Bane maybe but Bane shouldn't sound English, man's from a place called Santa Prisca he should have a South American accent/voice.
As Alfred, he'd definitely keep Bruce Wayne in line. I can see him being stern and a hardass but still supportive of what Bruce does. In fact it would have be a nice meta casting choice as Alfred in some continuities was a former secret agent.
One of my favorite episodes
Brilliant!
McGoohan...great good guy, great bad guy! He was the star of the BBC TV show "The Prisoner" (which was a sequel to the TV show Secret Agent).
He was Mr. Devereaux in Silver Streak. And he was King Edward I, aka "Longshanks" in Braveheart!!
Joseph Godfrey I forgot about Longshanks!
@@philipmalaby8172
He also played a murderer on at least one episode of Columbo. The record is held by Robert Culp... he was 3 different killers on 3 different episodes!
BBC show??? NO Joseph. The Prisoner was made for ITV not the BBC.
also the warden of Alcatraz in the prison escape movie with Clint Eastwood.
@@KilliK69
Thank you. That role, for him, was probably intentionally ironic...
please upload the whole episode.
Actors, with rare exception, loathe posing in caskets as a corpse.
I don’t think many people would, it just seems kind of creepy.
It's because caskets are not comfortable. They weren't made with comfort in mind.
@@Radicalbeast : what, no memory foam? drat!
they must have had a marvelous time doing this scene
old friends
Columbo was a genius.
That is the burning question!
“Has it ever struck you that life is all memory, except for the one present moment that goes by you so quick you hardly catch it going?”― Tennessee Williams
At the end of the scene, I'm left wondering if both actors have just gotten a bit hard of hearing and are shouting to make sure the other can hear them!
and later he went to have a cup of tea with the murderer. and say that he had to have pleasure in the case. comedic.
No
Why did Columbo move to the other side of the room? I hate it when people yell, especially when conversing.
Sad how falk was dialing it in on many of the 2nd generation episodes. McGoohan was always on top of his game.
Sounds like Edward Longshanks.
A still tongue makes a happy life...

si c'est possible des films traduit en français je ne comprend pas l'anglais
Mohammed Lakhdari : I do not speak French, and I’m not sure if anyone would be willing to translate these for you. I will tell you that this series is very entertaining.
There is a full length French language version of one Columbo episode.
What the hell just happened?
I don't remember this.
On dailymotion there are so many full episodes of colombo because they upload them in reverse so copyright bots don't see them.
2:17 Generic sound effect.

ASHeeeeeeeeeeeeS
Why on earth would you become a mortician?
someone has to do it - its a great service to those who wish to see their loved ones one last time... hard work no doubt, with meticulous eye for detail.
The most certain things in life are Death and Taxes.
family business
Sad ma$querade look of love a sad thing . I'm never having kids .
I hope my murderer will have style and a British accent
RIDICULOUS THESE EXTENSIVE CLIPS TO MAKE UP FOR NOT SHOWING WHOLE EROSODES
