1. The actor has the character take pride in her great grandmother and how strong she was
2. Esperanza is taking the time to break the fourth wall and the audience gets to play that role. The audience gets to see a glimpse into her mind and how she feels about herself
3. It helped me see the different variations of tone and inflection I could use while doing this monologue

Cesarina Olivero Hi there - Steppenwolf only records full performances for archival purposes. Sadly there is no opportunity to purchase a recording of the production as a video. but keep a look out, it is often produced here in Chicago, I'm sure another company will mount a production in which you might be able to take your class! Hope this helps...
