- I went beck to tent camp in a haunted uk woodland with vegan outdoorsman, and i think i set my tent up over an underground spider nest.
At first, there was nothing wrong with the location because I didn't see one spider all night until BED TIME 🫢🫢.
I spent the evening eating a Chinese army ration pack, which I can't see how it's a 24-hour ration pack as it's just enough food for 1 meal.

I used to hate spiders, especially those frikkin big house spiders! I decided to get over it by letting one crawl on me....problem solved. Now I let it carry my backpack for me 😂😂

Same thing happened to me this last Friday. Was chilling out watching dog soldiers on a solo wild camp when suddenly I saw something massive move in the corner of my eye. Three spiders evicted later and after putting all stuff out of my tent under the tarp cover I finally got to sleep. Then awoke to deer running around outside in the night which of course I mistook for werewolves..... God I love camping lol

Hey, when it comes to werewolves better safe that sorry. I don't even believe in them but I'm always on the lookout. Don't know if you have wolf spiders there (U.S. is covered in them) but they might could turn into werewolf-spiders. Something to think about.

Good on you. Start by camping at a site if you want to build up towards your goal.
I have health problems and managed to go to a site this October. It was cold and wet and the first night I was miserable, but it became a lot more easy the next night. :) I'm 60 years old by the way.
I did have a VERY good mattress and sleeping bag though, and that made ALL the difference. Used a 2 person tent, but was taken in a car to site.

Your problem with the alcohol stove , is the reason that I have never changed from my original Trangia setup , to a smaller stove , built in wind block , and a Kettle ! .🙂

Thing I enjoy the most is that you recognize that you are still learning like most of us. The content is more raw than others and for someone with anxiety like me, it comforts me to see the learning curves and the mishaps. I wish you were not as hard on yourself although you seem comfortable in your own skin. People who create content that is flawless also create a sense that we might not be competent enough to be able to do the things they do and that can cause us not to try. You are a great example. I wonder if it’s a very old entrance to like a manor which probably had a dirt road to it back when they used horse and carts but the manor been completely demolished and the woodlands have overgrown the area as it’s very strange to have posts like that in a woodland.

I watched the original video and commented but it got lost in the mix, I wonder if the noises you heard couldve been that you pitched over top of a rabbit warren and you could hear them underground, I have done this before and it is pretty spooky until you realise what it is

Hi Dan, on your google search bar is a little camera. And if you press it google lens pops up. You can use this to take pictures of things and google will give you some information on it. I tried to do it from a still on your video, but it wouldn't work properly. But looking at it, its early 1900's, Victorian bollard

Great vid as always lol, I think you should have warmed up all the smaller packets, sauce,duck and cucumber mixed them together, it would be like having hosin duck pancakes from the Chinese and you normally get cucumber or spring onion to go with them, just missing the pancakes
I find Alcohol hand gel is good for removing spiders. That and a flame thrower.

I’m not a fan of bugs in my tent, it’s a case of shift them or sleep with them so I just move them out . I’d rather sleep with that spider than that Blackpool B&B you slept in ! Them egg things looked like gonads to me !! Thoroughly enjoyed watching .
