My friend said I only accuse ubisoft if virtue signaling because they made the main character black, and not white. Because yasuke is "historically accurate."
But once this rumor started to circulate, I asked him if it was still historically accurate... looks like more virtue signaling to me.
Nothing about Sausage is accurate or has any documents to at least attest anything. He probably wasn't even black African as they don't even mention his race, only that he had a darker skin then the Japanese. Moreover they came from India so chances are Sausage boy could have been Indian or of Arab descent.
Historically accurate would have you play as a man-servant, possibly carrying your masters sword into a single battle.. in that case, perhaps Yasuke did pleasure some men, which would make the game a bit more realistic, than the fantasy that the dude was made Samurai 😂

I think what they mean is that its up to the player who they want to romance in the game. Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Assassin's Creed Valhalla allowed the player to romance whatever gender they wanted.
