The problem is that if they specified that it was spicy (which it might of in the flavor text) it would have been fine to include it. If you're going through it quickly you probably won't get it is spicy mustard. But also the sprite for it looks like a yellow mustard bottle which isn't spicy.

One thing as well, with the Teal Mask, the aforementioned Mask was a major item in the expansion, being the item needed to get Ogerpon who was important to the plot. Since them just saying terapagos caused the terastal situation yet it apparently can’t generate its own power makes me feel like they were trying to kitbash Zecora that electric cat anthro something, with Eternatus, since I think the former’s gag was not being able to generate its own electricity while eternatus simply existing caused the whole thing with Dynamax to occur.
Which is kind of stupid when they repeat the same formula twice, in a row also, for a single Pokémon to totally be why a gimmick exists, but it basically loses it in different entries, if they ever get it out of god damn region lock where I feel like eternatus won’t be allowed outside of galar for any future titles any time soon.
Which atleast the demonic looking dragon had a form to really sell it as a threat, terapagos having even LESS presence then ogrepon is sad and both were just forced to be cute’sie lookjng marketable plushies more then feeling like they can be legendaries in the first place, only logic likely being cause they are ‘one of a kind’ situation and they are heavily tied to a gimmick that they lose once they get transferred to another game.
Hell, I prefer when the gimmicks work more as extensions instead of Pokémon being strictly tied to the gimmick.
Since Xerneas and Yvetlal didn’t get mega evo forms, necrozma wasn’t specifically locked to Z moves, only using it to achieve his ‘actual form’ after he got a power source from Lunala or Solgaleo to likely give it the juice to achieve such a final boss form and atleast Eternatus looks menancing in its base form and could still use its ‘dynamax’ form thru its signature attack, though I assume if it got to come to scarlet/violet, they would of god damn swapped it with a red and black copy of dark pulse instead to ‘cut down on asset clog’.

Honestly it's really sad to see Gamefreak is pretty much stuck in a content cycle of constantly releasing games back to back without enough dev time. It's hard to get the anime, TCG, and merch to all coordinate if there's delays, and alongside TPCI wanting to maximize profits, lots of the time they're just forced to pump out whatever they finished because oftentimes the devs can't go "hey guys we need a few more months of dev time to enhance the performance of our game".
There is a lot of passion and attention to details in the small things (blastoise got a huge glow up, the dialogue kieran and carmine have about ogerpon during their fight, etc) but there's just not enough dev time or likely even people working on the pokemon games to fix the spaghetti code. Even PLA got delayed (which probably backed up everything else) and it still wasn't that polished on launch. I've had lots of fun with PLA and SV but I cannot deny that this content cycle of releasing mainline games every 2 - 3 games is seriously affecting the quality of the games.
Regardless of how fun they are, the game performing the way it does is a serious issue that TPC just won't address because they want to maximize profit over making the best possible game because I think a polished SV with some extra changes to performance and story cohesion would've 100% been the best game in the series.

Tbh, I was mad disappointed with the DLC content considering the main story segment from the Teal Mask, Kieran and Carmine's relationship which causes the former to become power hungry and withdraw, while the latter regrets her harmful behaviour, was 'resolved' by just the player character beating Kieran, him and his sister doing text-to-no-speech-cuz-there's-still-no-voice-acting crying. No retrospective between the two siblings, no talk, just an underwhelming conclusion to one of the more interesting dynamics Pokemon has created.
The other thing that makes me sad is how a lot of plot points built up from the base game such as whoever attacked to Arvin week's dog, an extended answer into the truth of Paradox Pokemon, the relationship between Heath, Terapagos, and Professor Sada/Turo are just not mentioned, while things like Carmine and Kieran's dynamic, and the return of the Area Zero trio (Nemona, Penny, Arvin) weren't done to their greatest potential.
Whatever questions we had from the base game that was purposely left unanswered was either ignored, or given the most unsatisfying half answer that was revealed in the most lukewarm in-game cutscene ever with no buildup to it cuz that's what this franchise is used to when it needs to info dump I guess.
Not to mention how the game still has loads of frame rate and bug issues, but seeing how we'll be getting another adventure with them in January gives me hope that maybe at the very least, we will have a somewhat satisfying conclusion to this Gen, if not than hopefully just an entertaining one.

It doesn't really seem like a threat. Sure, it broke Kieran's masterball, but not much else really happened. I loved how immediately waking up the tortle looks at the player like “mama.”
I do agree on how the Terapagos section of the DLC felt out of place. We don’t even fight new Paradox Pokémon for some reason. The legendaries are post game.
It just seems weird to me we left Paldea for these adventures but it unceremonially took us back to Paldea for the finale. There was no real connection between The Teal Mask and Indigo Disk aside from Kieran, Carmine, and Briar. Ogerpon doesn’t even play a role with its masks. It just seems like that could have been tied together better.
And wtf were they thinking shiny locking the legendaries? The Dynamax Adventure ones let you shiny hunt. It’s a long process but you could do it. Now it’d be easy to do it but nooooo. F you, GameFreak. I heard someone say “I love Pokemon, I hate GameFreak” and that’s where I’m at.
This is where I’ll disagree with you on tho. I have no problem paying the DLC price. It added more content to the game and that’s how it should. It’s not like gotcha games and micro-transactions, they gave us beefy DLC. You’re paying for BOTH DLC in one price too. It’s not like they made us buy it separately.
But still, should be patched. The performance was bad. They don’t know how to optimize.

Imagine what a better world we would be living in if mainline Pokemon game’s released a new generation every 4 years instead of 3. Sure they’d still probably pump out dlc and spin-offs/remakes every year or so, but the time they have to make the mainline games would actually allow both the game AND the livelihood of the devs to improve

Honestly i feel like if they had just expanded more on kitakami it would’ve been better cause, like, the blueberry academy is just kind of there, you don’t even catch terapagos there because of course you don’t. Kitakami, while bland-ish scenery had a better story than most of the base game.

Why they waited until literally the end of the story to say this or whether that's more or less interesting than Terapagos powering the core, I'll leave up to debate.

I always hear that people are having issues with cutscenes and stuff- but I never have these game-breaking problems people say is commonplace. It runs mostly smoothly for me and I have an OG switch that’s like- 4 years old by now. Also- I really feel like the 2 DLC should have just been one MASSIVE DLC. Considering the Indigo Disk arc relies so heavily on the Teal Mask arc. It also would have allowed them to be able to probably have more time for polishing the game.

They say that before saying they add crystals found from Area Zero Underdepth and make the ball rainbowish instead of green so you can encounter stellar types in wild.

  • @leemaster777
    @leemaster777 Před 5 měsíci +2

To answer your question, Stellar Tera Type is mostly just a niche option. Pokemon with the Contrary ability, or ones that focus on alot of coverage options to do damage can make use of it, but the fact that it offers no defensive utility means that it can safely be ignored by most Pokemon.
Not useless, but not something you're going to be slapping on every Pokemon to sweep teams.
