Critics don’t like things that make you stop and think, likely because they know the average audience is too lazy for that. Unless there’s a big CG explosion every twenty seconds to keep people awake it’s considered a bad movie.
Whoever adds this exact song on 90% of shorts deserves a purgatory of only that song for eternity. No body, no mouth with which to scream. Just a floating consciousness in an endless void with this song on loop
This movie is amazing the twist is they robbed the same bank chain who they owed money to and used the same to pay back the banks they'd just robbed to pay off the mortgage on the family farm or else the oil company wouldn't go through with the deal to put an oil pump on their land.
Sounds stupid ,Oil company puts rig on the land the money that comes in paid the mortgage off. Or they don`t pay it off and oil company gets the farm. Better ending would how the Oil company screws them ,they get everyone like now.

Easily the best westerns to come out the past 20 or so years.. perfect film, didn't get nearly as much recognition that it should have, this is a movie that'll hold up for a long time, and it's message on both sides of the law will last even longer. 👏👏

pine was superb in this movie, the whole cast gave stellar performances but it was so refreshing seeing chris play the straight man and not the plucky goofball

This movie and no country for old men are two of the very best acted movies I've ever seen. Daniel Day Lewis watches theses two movies and the Big Labowski before every start of a new movie and he taught Merriel Streep to do the same .... seems like it works for those two up and comers
I've constantly thought about the sons becoming terrible humans in response to becoming billionaires overnight with zero training or discipline on how to handle being wealthy, the movie never really talks about that, still an amazing film tho ... Jeff Bridges was born to play the cantankerous old law man lol

Those banks will get back every penny taken from them and will likely up their interest rates to try and make up for the money that they "lost" when they were robbed , so they are likely going to make money in the long run from having been robbed .
