Most precise "how to" on installing a van window
Quick question I have a Ford 2004 extra large super duty my large window on my passenger side in the back is leaking from the top pretty bad when I take the window out and I clean it up can I use neoprene Rubber in a cartridge when I put it back in to seal it Thanks

What is the marker you use to paint the edge?
Hi, thanks for the clear video. What kind of sealant tape is that? We are currently restorating our chevy g20 conversion van, which already has those windows. I had to remove them because of some rust, which is now restored into pure steel. But now, we have to reinstall the windows and the current seal isn't leakproof I assume, it's very flattened out. Some local garages advice me to put adhesive kit instead of seals, but I prefer not to do it the right way. Thanks in advance.

@@Timosity2023 Thanks for the reply and thanks for mentioning the type of foam. I cannot enter your website, it says that I don't have access from the Netherlands (and here in the Netherlands, this type of window is also quite unique so nobody seems to know what foam tape is used).
Do you sell it also outside Europe? Or can you tell me the thickness you commonly use for it?

@justindijkhuis What they used in the video and what they recommend is closed cell foam tape not butyl. I think butyl would work but just wanted to clarify if others see this comment.
@@v.n.4276 yes either way a sealing tape will work. Silicone or any generic waterproof caulk sealant will work too
What screws do you recommend for this installation?
We recommend to use only our screws that we provide. Longer screws could create a leak problem.
Do you clean/smooth the window edges after cutting?
Yes, You should file the edges and paint over them.
What tape is used?
Can I use a large drill bit instead of angle grinder as a starter hole? What is advantage of using angle grinder?
The video above is a method that we use when installing windows. Like skinning the proverbial cat, there are many ways to accomplish cutting a hole in your van. If you have a method that you are more comfortable using then please use that method instead.
