Lovely to revisit Scotland again. It certainly bought back memories of just how beautiful it is. Thank you for your well made video and commentary 🤗
Nice trip, I've been to Scotland ones, in 2015. The plan was to go by train to Mallaig. But the night before there was so much rain that the traintracks flushed away 😞Very nice to see what we have missed 🙂
What a beautiful trip. Thank you for sharing
We loved it!
Another excellent vlog , thank you for taking me on this journey Scotland is truly beautiful. I’ve got to say that the first class did look nice and the cream tea would have been the deal breaker. Best regards from Vietnam 🇻🇳
Yes first class did look good, but was fully booked already when we looked. Still it was also double the price! We were fine in second class. A great day out.
I did this trip with Lochs and Glens Holidays a few years ago. I really love the Highlands of Scotland and it's amazing views
It’s an amazing part of the U.K! Glad you enjoyed your trip
I am truly grateful for you both and your channel it is lovely to be able to travel this way and not having to leave your home... ❤️‼️ thank you again so very much for taking us along! Many blessings to you and your family stay safe and healthy❤️🙏🙏🙏
That just looks like a totally awesome trip. It’s an absolutely beautiful area. Love the fact that you get different scenery on the return trip. It’s such a restful, pleasant way to spend the day. Food looked delicious too. Thank you again for another great and very informative vlog.
Yes
Agreed
Well done 👍
The Loch Shiel cruise from Glenfinnan is superb and one of the best places to see both species of eagle
Ive never been to Scotland and now after watching these videos Im determined to go. Many thanks for posting
I feel so spoilt, see everything at such a leisurely pace. By the way, I never get tired of the food (giggle). My father came to Canada as a child from Buckhaven, Scotland. Great vlog and look forward to your next one!
I also love travelling by trains. I enjoyed looking at the changing picturesque scene from the train window.
I love a steam train!
one of the best travel channels on the YT. Good filming, great commetary, you show the most important things that every tourist should know.
Well thanks very much, glad you are enjoying our travels and find it informative. Great to have you with us. 👍🤗
@@MemorySeekers the series from Scotland is truly amazing. I can still recall myself visiting those places in 2019. And it's all thanks to you. I especially enjoy you showing us the restaurants' menu and ordered meals.

I found myself looking for Hagrid 🙋♀️🤣♥️‼️this is SO fun!!
Not sure he would fit on the train 😂
Stunning footage , we are booked for August 2023, returning to my home country from Australia 🐨🥰
Fantastic, have a wonderful time! When you say you have booked, I hope you mean the train rather than the trip. The train gets booked up well in advance!
@@MemorySeekers yes the train booked 🥰
Hâte de voyager dans ce train🚂😊
Quand vas-tu le faire ?
Your commentary and knowledge of the areas you visit is outstanding!
Hi Colin, many times we don’t have much knowledge of the places and it takes a lot of research before, during or after to find the interesting information to add to the videos. All part of the fun in making the video. 😃 glad you enjoy them.
Considering he's not Scottish. Name pronunciation can be challenging.😂
I absolutely fell in love with Fort William! We did this trip on my 40th birthday in the beginning of April (!) and it was fantastic. I have to admit I fell asleep on the way back because the noise of the train was just so soothing 🤣. There are lots of lovely things to do in Fort William as well! I will be back in October!
Thanks for sharing so glad you have great memories of the trip. I can totally understand the falling asleep it really is a great way to get off to sleep!
Lovely trip and gorgeous scenery. Glenfinnan viaduct is always breathtaking!
It really is! A super trip.
It is a great trip! The scenery was incredible. I would have liked to have spent more time in Mallaig beautiful fishing village and the food was outstanding.
Oh my God stunning.
Thank you gentlemen, that was amazing!
No problem 😌
Endlessly interesting! Loved the part about the Glenfinnian Viaduct, and the Neptunes Staircase! The food looked yummy! Well done indeed again!
Wonderful video! Waiting for the next! 😀😀❤️
Just amazing & so lovely...glad you shared it 👍👍👍
Beautiful thank you ♥️♥️♥️
Greetings from Central Virginia! We very much enjoyed this episode (we are new to your channel). I, too, would have sprung for first class on the train for the experience of the cream tea in the dining car. It looked lovely!
Hello Lauren in Virginia! Great to hear you have found our channel. Lots to catch up on. The train was a fantastic day out and a great experience of days gone by. Take Care.
Great adventure with stunning scenery.

Muchísimas gracias!!! Me encanta!!!
Thanks for this film; this is one of several train trips I hope to make on my next trip to England/Scotland. Looking forward to your next upload!
Thank you! Another great episode! I love to travel by train especially on a rainy day - it feels so cozy inside and you are still able to see places. 😊 It must be really fun to ride the train, which looks like a museum artifact and still works! Amazing! 👍👍👍🥰🥰🥰
Awesome!👍😎🇨🇦🏴
Thank you for sharing such an interesting vlog with the great train ride, the famous viaduct and all the lovely scenery....Looking forward to the next video... Keep safe...
Thank you Diana, it was a bucket list item to ride the train. Loved it. 😌

Lovely video, very informative and pretty vlog!
Thank you very much
Jacobite steam Train a Wonderful Journey 👍
I am so excited seeing this. I saw the glenfinnan duct during my Glencoe tour last year. Would love to do this next time. Thank you 😊 more power to your channel.
Next time sounds good, we would love to go back as well. Tons more to see.
Another great video guys, but one small point re Neptune's Staircase... It's not the longest in UK, thattitle belongs to Caen Hill Locks near Devizes in Wiltshire, where over a length of 2 miles there are 29 locks. And they're still hand operated! That would make a great place for you to film a future episode.
Its the longest in Scotland according to Scottish Canals, good point, yes will have to talk a look at that!
Very beautiful video loved it
Glad you liked it
😍😍😍 the best trip
This is Lovely.....
Super podróż, przepięknie widoki. Miły komentarz. Miałam wrażenie, że znajduje się w pociągu z Panem. Dziękuję i pozdrawiam.
Dziękuję za oglądanie, więc cieszę się, że podobała Ci się podróż pociągiem. To było dla nas bardzo pamiętne.
Good
Lovely part of northern Britain.
Great video of a great place!
Thank you very much!
The locks, boat 🛥️ passways are amazing engineering to see. Quite time consuming for a boat to go through.
Thanks so much!
Welcome

It was indeed!
LOVE IT 💕💕
Thank u
Saw ‘something’ on the food cart that had ‘9 3/4’ - kids traveling must love the Harry Potter reference
It doesn’t look like there are many trees in Scotland. Too bad, I’m a lover of trees 🌳 ❤🌳
Excellent video, l really feel like I am travelling. Congrats from Chennai.
Thank you so much 🙂
Thanks so much for this trip and all of your videos, We took this trip in 2016 and loved it then. Are you traveling now there now? I ask because of the episodic way you are releasing your videos, which I love BTW.
Hi Doug, we visited back in June, it takes quite a while to pull together all the information and deal with editing etc so we usually run a few months behind. Glad u are enjoying the series. A few more episodes to go in this one.
Hola! Como siempre un placer ver sus historias! Pero éste último me dejaron sin subtitulos en español!
Woooooooouuuu!!!!😍😍😍
Thankyou
Aww, I really enjoyed that! Does anyone know what those bushes with pink flowers were? Thanks for taking us your travels; can’t wait for the next video! 💖
Rhododendrons

The Glenfinnan Viaduct was famous before, I didn’t know it was in a popular movie.
Yes it was indeed long before the film.
Thank for this great video, once again amazing quality!! I have a question to ask please, if you are seating on the right side on the train on your way to Malliag, you WILL miss the better view of the viaduct, and if they switch seats for you automatically you will be riding on your left side of the train next and miss AGAIN the viaduct view? Is that right? Im concern now that I booked this tickets with my daughter, being both of us HUGE HP fans and not getting to really appreciate this Iconic view.
Hi yes if you are on the right going out, you will miss it, and if you have the same seats on the way back you will also miss it. Direction of seating is important as well. Be facing direction of travel, we were rear facing so had to turn round to see it. They switched us and I thought that was the norm so you had a different view on way back. Sounds like you have same seats both ways. There is nothing stopping you getting up from seat and going to the doors at the end of the carriages so you can see out. Grab a Spot before someone else does! Really it is hard to see the viaduct well from in the train, your best bet is to take the walk from station and see the train go by and the entire viaduct from the viewing area. If we had, had another day we would have driven to Glennfinnan Station and walked to the viewing platform here. 56°52'33.2"N 5°26'06.2"W

Hope you have a lovely day whatever happens!
Nice video frnd, greetings from India 💐💐
Greetings from London thank you 😊
Wonderful to relive my memories of doing this trip. A pity you were not able to stop at Glen Finnan station. You can do a wonderful walk from behind the station over to the viaduct then to the NTS centre and monument then back to the station passing the church of st Mary and St Finnan. Highly recommend the golden eagle boat trip from Glen Finnan as well if they can still run.
Lovely extra information thank you. Glad you enjoyed it.
Hey guys, great video as always! I too am booked to ride in this train! So excited! Can you tell me are there any open carriages so you can get a clear camera shot of the scenery views etc, or is the entire train closed in pls? Cheers from Marg in Australia!
Hello the entire train is enclosed.if you can get to a door window you can take a sneaky shot out but they have signs to say don’t open them. Although people do! It’s not fully open mind you. Have a great ride!
@@MemorySeekers oh okay, good to know guys, thank you so much! Yeah, I’m super excited! Did you find you had plenty of time to get your shots of the iconic viaduct, or was the photo opp gone in seconds?
The train slows down to a crawl but it is over quite quickly. If it works as did for us then you sit on one side of the train on the way out and the other in the way back so everyone gets a very different view each way. To be honest to get the best view of the viaduct you need to travel by car to the external viewing platform here

Lots of people do that to. If you have time on your trip.
@@MemorySeekers Oh okay thank you for this “inside info” - very handy thank u!!
Tried to book a ticket when we were there in August, but it was fully booked, sadly, next time
Thanks for the great vlog ,how much was it for the economy class tickets?
Hi the tickets for a return ticket per person were £49 in standard class. You need to book well in advance. I notice that it looks like it’s all booked up for rest of season now.
❤
just fine; that's where I would spend my vacation .and in winter, what does it look like ?
Now winter is a time still to be explored. I imagine very wet, windy but sometimes snowy abs magical.
Dreech. Cold, Grey or white. Occasional Blue skies. Often windy.
do the windows open so you can stick your camera out? also, are seats allocated or is it first come first serve basis? i would be devastated if i dont get the left side of the train
