Jackie Bradley Jr has one upped even that! Not only did he follow up his national championship being named the MVP of the tournament, but he went on to win a pair of WS rings with the Boston Red Sox! He's had quite a baseball career!

Trevor Bauer and Gerrit Cole could not be more different. These two reactions to losing the World Series says all it needs to say.

one of them takes none of it seriously
the other takes it so seriously that he looks insecure about it
maybe this is why I dont like either of them

Whit Merrifield, Jackie Bradley Jr., Sam Dyson, and Christian Walker were all on USC. Trevor Bauer, Cody Decker, Brendan Lafferty, and Gerrit Cole were all on UCLA. Did I miss anyone?

This is one of the greatest runs in college world series history. Coastal Carolina is probably the other.

Wow. The Gamecocks beat Gerrit Cole and Trevor Bauer in the final. What a special team Ray Tanner had then.

Fitting way to close the doors on Rosenblatt Stadium. This was the final College World Series game to be played there before moving to TD Ameritrade Park in downtown Omaha.
