      Way too many issues with an EV...hybrid is best for now

    We have an NX450H+. It is a very good luxury car with superb fuel consumption if you focus on using the PHEV element. We thought we would replace our second car (for supermarket/local driving) with an EV. However, we have become to dislike the idea of full EV at this time and have opted for the 4WD LBX in red with a black roof, delivered in August. With such low fuel consumption, it makes the added cost and inconvenience of an EV irrelevant. We currentyly have a Citroen for our second car and it is annoying that the indicators are on the opposite side. It will be very advantageous have 2 cars with almost identical instrumentation and systems. We also love the service Lexus gives us such as storing our car free of charge when we go on holidays and deliver it back to the airport free of charge. BMW didn’t even give us a free hat.

    Why call this a SUV? It's a hatchback. I don't get the idea of calling everything a SUV now. According to FORD the definition of a SUV is "An SUV is a Sport Utility Vehicle. Powered for performance, an SUV should stand up to tough conditions and harsh environments, without compromising on interior comforts.". This Yaris (Strike) Lexus does not qualify being called a SUV. It does not "perform", it will most like not survive tough conditions and its small therefore compromising comfort.

    If it was 35k, maybe.
    At 50k without even rear air vents, what a joke.
    Toyota is now a joke.

      Tiny cars dnt need rear airvents

    • @Allanhyde264
      @Allanhyde264 Před 2 měsíci

      @@sheezy2526 we are renting a polo - where we live is regularly above 27 degrees Celsius. Not having rear vents is hard in the car and the driver and front passenger are constantly moving the position of the front vents to help middle and rear passengers who cook whenever we go back to the car if it’s parked in the sun. The polo is a base model and costs under 30k here.
      The only circumstance in which your comment could objectively be considered intelligent is if you own Toyota or are a significant stockholder which would make you a multi-billionaire.
      If not, then if you pay 50k for a tiny luxury car, it should have rear air vents.

      The LBX is already selling extremely well and getting great reviews across the board. And it’s a premium alternative to the Yaris Cross/Hatcback with not a huge gap in price. Behave.

      @@mikesanders5433 that is purely because people are idiots or have you not read a newspaper in a few years and looked at the state of the world.
      From $10 Big Macs to $1.5m 1 bedroom units with scant commensurate wage growth.
      I grew up in a time where if you weren’t educated, you didn’t speak presumptively. @mikesanders5433, less time on CZcams and more time with newspapers, textbooks and paying attention. You called the car a premium alternative. Premium means more than fake leather and some extra nvh. At 50k, it also means rear air and a back arm rest you fool. Behave.

    So its a yaris cross blinged up!
    There is a reason that lexus is the most profitable car company in the world. They take a toyota with good bones and add a bunch of extras, and bc toyotas are boring, but everyone wants their build quality lexus cash in by charging a premium.
