- In this vlog, I travel by train to the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia - Kazan. I went there to explore Tatar culture - Islamic architecture (including Kul-Sharif), national cuisine (chak-chak and so on), theatres, art galleries... I found out how people of different religions (Muslim, Orthodox, etc.) live together in this city. It was also fascinating to learn about the ancient history of this place! Join me on this Kazan city tour :)

ABOUT ME:
Hi! My name is Elena. I’m currently living in Russia but I can’t imagine my life without travel. I visit off the beaten track destinations (in Russia and beyond) to explore different cultures and ways of living, connect to the wisdom of nature, and learn about myself. Let’s go on this adventure together ♥
Beautiful Russian culture, city and vlogger. God bless United Russia's agenda for preserving such historic culture and beauty. Awesome Elena.
Wow, I didn't know Kazan is such a beautiful city. Thank you!
Yeah, it's becoming more and more beautiful every time I visit!
That was fantastic.
What a gem of a City!
The train ride brought memories of my trip across Canada from Vancouver to Toronto in the middle of winter.
One of the great ways to travel and enjoy, too bad more people don't take the time.
Thanks for the tour .
Oh, sounds nice! Yes, time has become too valuable these days. But somehow trains in Russia are still never empty (this time I was lucky though to be the only one in the compartment)
I've heard a lot of good things about Kazan, It's very beautiful
It is!
Thanks Elena for another great episode.
In or rather near Kazan, Innopolis is a new city dedicated to IT technologies and computer science.
I plan to spend some time there in the future to learn some Russian and work as a computer scientist.
So I am very pleased that you are showing us Kazan.
Тюбетей ( tubatay ) is definitely a great tip.
You're welcome, Jörg! Yes, I've heard about Innopolis and want to go there some day! Your plan sounds really cool, good luck 😉
Starting with the decoration on the train, everything looked very attractive. Admirable is the effort by the citizens to preserve their traditions, cultural events and, very notable, the sharing of everything they ARE. This is the soul of a people who have and know their identity. To all my very best wishes. Thank you much, Elena, for sharing this wonderful experience. Love to Tatarstan and the people who stand for these honorable values.
Can't agree more 🙂
@@elenastravels Much of my words are inspired by your honest, gentle , and persuasive personality. It helps you bring out the best in the people you visit. Best wishes and LOVE to you.😘❤❤❤
@@herbertcourtesie2459 thank you, Herbert. That's kind 😊
Kazan looks like a very cozy town, and I'm glad the weather turned out nice for you (and us) there. I'd definitely like to see it in person. Thanks for showing it.
Yeah, it would've been not so fun if the weather hadn't been sunny! You're welcome 🙂
Elena, I was captivated by the variety of beautiful architectural styles that define the city of Kazan. Visitors cannot help being impressed by the cleanliness and order of the streets, suggesting the people maintaining them really care.
Your attendance at the Tatar Puppet Theatre can only be viewed as an excursion inside a fairytale.
Overall, It would seem a weekend in Kazan is barely enough time to see all that the city has to offer.
Chris, yes, the architecture there is quite diverse! There are a lot more things to see there indeed 🙂
Another bwonderful Sunday show. I would love to see the cathedrals someday.
Thanks, Nathan! Glad you liked it 🙂
I've traveled by vehicle and planes but never by rail and I realize I'm missing alot. Kazan appears to be a beautiful city that's clean with a mixture of old and new history. Would love to see more of its people and local night life.
Maybe you should give trains a try! Yeah, the city is VERY clean 🙂
Hi Elena looka nice nice place, beautiful churches and buildings, thanks for showing us around, take care
You're welcome 🙃
Hi Elena, yes spring is coming, love it when the birds start singing ☀️
Yes, such a pleasant sound 🌺
Hi, Elena. Great video. Kazan has so much interesting architecture and culture that I'd definitely like to visit. The Tatar fast food looked delicious also.
Hi, Jeff! Glad you think so 😉
Thanks Elena, a very interesting and beautiful city.! Let's hope one day we can travel easily again to see more of Russia.
I really hope so! 🙏🙏
У нас не закрыты границы) спокойно приезжайте в гости )всем рады )
Если повезёт то в независимый
Это на самом деле красивая вещь, спасибо
So many styles of architecture but blended together nicely, Kazan has style.
Totally!
Our Lenochka is back to yet another beautiful part of Russia- Kazan, in its opulent splendor. I’ve had delicious chak-chak and it is an amazing snack and I’m sure that you appreciate all cultures living in peaceful harmony in Tatarstan😊. Enjoy the Russian spring just around the corner😊!
Hey! It is beautiful indeed 😉 Haha yeah, chak-chak is the best! Thank you, enjoy spring, too ☺
V beautiful video. From Pakistan 🇵🇰🌹
🤩So amazing and interesting travel vlog. Thanks Elena. How I wish I could travel and experience the excitements in Russia.
I’m really glad you liked it 😉 I hope you’ll be able to do it one day!
I've read about Kazan in history books, but it's definitely interesting to see it. Kazan fast food looks better then McDonald's 😂. Thanks for another amazing video. Where you able to enter to mosque? I would have loved the puppet show 😊👍👏
It's a significant city for the Russian history! I didn't go to the mosque this time, but I've been there before 😊
Cathedral of annuciation is so grand. Cathedrals looks me so interesting 🤔.
🤗

Such a beautiful city!!
True!
Hello Elena. Wow, what a beautiful city. I would definitely visit there. There is something very exciting about train travel. It is easier to see the countryside and nature from the windows. And much warmer too. 😂
Also, I didn't realize there is more than one Kremlin. I thought the only one was in Moscow. 🤔
Thanks for the education
Hey! Glad you liked it 😉 Agree! I love trains! Ah yeah, there are a few of them 😉
Great tour, loved the venues you visited. I wouldn't mind visiting Kazan in a future visit, but first I have to see Moscow and some more of St Petersburg.
Good plan 🙂
Чудесный город и видео😍 Надеюсь и я там как-нибудь побываю🤗
Спасибо, Маша 🤗
Your videos are full of knowledge, history and geography.. so much interesting. Thanks a lot for so much hardwork.
It's my pleasure 🤗
@@elenastravels 😊🤗💐
Wow, the city looks so beautiful !
It does! 🙂
Another video with a *high cultural content* ratio 👍
Interesting, how when you visit a city the tickets are always sold-out. It seems demand is really high for such local preformances. I did like the local fast-food restaurant and I'm convinved it would also do well elsewhere. If Turkish, Chinese and Japanese fast food is selling well, why not such interesting Tartar food?
Thank you 🤗 Yeah, I’m surprised but seems like people are going to theatres a lot these days! Even in small towns it’s hard for me to buy tickets sometimes 🙈
I liked that fast food place, too! Very original and delicious 😋
The Puppet Theatre is lovely
Yeah, it was cute 😉
Hi Elena! This is such a beautiful video, I really enjoyed it! Kazan is quite beautiful and seems very rich in culture and diversity. I would love to visit there! I really enjoyed the Kremlin of Kazan, and seeing the Cathedrals. Thanks very much, for the beautiful tour! Take good care, and stay safe Elena!
Hello Elena, the train is most definitely on my list. I'm going to do a cross country trip. Once again. It's Sunday night. Picked up my phone. What do I see. That Beautiful smile from Elena. My weekend is Kool now. Winks. Lol I'm going to ride along to Kazan with you.
Hey, Harold! Glad you liked the video 😊 Wow, a cross country trip sounds exciting!
Tartarian buildings fabulous
Beautiful city Elena!..Great video!
Would love to visit Kazan one day ❤
Hope you will! 🙂
Great video again ... I would love to visit the splendid Kazan mixed architectures & cultures. Also great to travel by train in Russia (day&night), it might not be very comfortable but there is a positive atmosphere (things go slowly, we can take time to read & look at the nature). Coffee shops are nice, may be due to the fact that there are many students ?
Thanks, Yves! Yes, trains are special 🤗 You're probably right about the coffee shops
Love the music
Glad you do! ☺️
Was that University of Physics? One University for Physics only? Woww
Yeah, it was 🤓
That food you described as like a "pancake" looked more like a quesadilla
True!
I love Kazan and go there every year to visit friends I have made. Looking to buy a house there when conditions allow
Cool! Good luck with that ☺️
Ty
I think Ushkov house is very cute too ....🙂
so as you 🙂
