- This restaurant is a special restaurant located inside the diplomatic compound in Pyongyang.
People who came here are usually diplomats, government officials, North Korean upper class and expatriates that live and work inside the diplomatic compound in Pyongyang. The rates are using foreign currency like US Dollar, Euro, Japan Yen and Chinese Yuan. The dishes vary from Korean, Chinese, and Western Cuisine.
We used to come here and eat foods containing seafood and veggies.

I cannot help but think about how many people in North Korea wish they could enjoy a hearty meal, let alone a feast like this..
North Korea is the most well fed nation in the world, stop believing the lies!

this was so relaxing to watch. you have such a beautiful family. thank you for sharing 🤎
Thank you so much 🤗
Relaxing to watch an Indonesian diplomat and his family having privileged dinner in a place reserved for diplomats only, while local North Koreans starve and get by? Of course.
@@misterxmistery7424 Claro que si
Waa new video!!
Kangen bangt sama vlog²nyaa akhirnya setelah sekian lama up lagiii
As I watch some of your videos, this reminds me so much of the South Korea of the 80’s that I know. I really learned to enjoy the food over there, there’s a Korean restaurant near the va hospital and I always stop there to eat the one older lady is from North Korea and we always have a nice visit and she will make dishes for me not on the menu.
Your back!!!! I love it!
Hi Jaka, what do you do there in North Korea? Thanks for the amazing videos. It’s great that you’re with family. ❤
His wife is indonesian diplomat in north korea
Welcome back, I love your north korea videos. I cant stop watching them keep up the good work😅
I'm surprised you're still able to get footage out of that country without interruptions
Lol, of course he can😂 north Korea is nothing like what your average Western media narrative wants you to believe.
@@guywholikesthesnarkies1435 First of all, these are older recordings, secondly, he has a special status because of his wife (a diplomat), an average North Korean cannot take recordings and send them abroad. Third, what's wrong with Western reporting on North Korea?
@@SonofBombay western news are very biased
It’s not as hard as our media wants us to believe. I wonder if anyone even told you it’s hard or if you’re imagining it because you have a terrible image of the DPRK
@@SonofBombay He’s not even North Korean.
Wow bro , theres been long time no saw u , im glad ur back ur girls ur so growth good vibes from Perù
The best part of this video was the few second clip of the kid just chilling on the luggage cart. Love it
This was a gem of a video. Wow, your approach with the kids is magical. I loved it (edit: Your calmness, low speaking volume and attention to the little details that they are talking about. Parents in North America should take note. )
Rasa penasaran q membuat aq jadi subscriber mu om.. Thank for sharing
Vibes hotel 70'an nya asik banget, berasa balik ke Hotel Samudera Indah (Palabuhanratu) tahun 90'an. Setelah ganti ke INA, jadi banyak pembaharuan..
Thanks for the video, stay safe over there ^_^
These are all pre-2017 videos
Thank you very much for your videos, very interesting, glad to see life from the view of a person, keep up the pure awesomeness ❤️🦄❤️
the silence is so loud and the emptiness is eerie. the way the workers are just sitting around looking bored... even if this isn't staged its obvious that this isn't for the general public. i'm aware that this is for "privileged" folks but it does nothing to debunk what we know about NK. it's just wild how people continue to defend them as if they were personally affected.
north korea fans are some of the weirdest people on the planet
It's pretty amusing how it's so bad there that their propaganda still looks pathetic
Amazing! Thankyou and please more videos from DPRK
wah sudah ada video baru, sukses dan sehat selalu mas Jaka beserta istri dan keluarga

Welcome back and been a while again. Love all your North Korean videos. Thank you for always showing the better side of the north.

Not quite as much background noise as your standard Texas Roadhouse, in fact it’s eerie.
Looks nice. Too nice. 💀
Anyways, have y'all listened to B.R.M.C?
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club? Love that band! I enjoy the songs: Beat the devil's tattoo and Weapon of Choice.
For context, my understanding is that generally speaking 100 North Korean currency is equal to 1 USD. So these meals seem to be priced between $3.50 to $30. Make sense for the steak as beef is North Korea is extremely rare.
I think it's actually more like 900 north Korean currency is 1 usd
And he used chinese yuan for his check 😂
The children were adorable. And the menu looked wonderful. I’m hungry just looking at it.
Tempatnya privasi banget.. terimakasih bang vidionya sehat sllu😊

The fact this man is still allowed to openly record in NK should tell you everything you need to know
It's propaganda-rific!!!

loots of beer in the entrance, this restaurant food must be luxury for many people

its almost as if western propaganda portrays north korea as something its not. dont get me wrong its still an authoritarian militaristic dictatorship BUT its still better compared to countries like cuba, at least north korea still has support from china so.
Im curious, the prices on the menu are displayed in korean won (KPW) and EUR, is Euro the most accepted/used foreign currency? I would have guessed its chinese Yuan (RMB) or USD, i saw them handing you back EUR as change in another video too. Why is Euro so common over there?
I don’t know the answer buf I think it’s the same as in Cuba. USD cannot be used because their leaders hate (or at least declare so) the US, same for Japan. CNY cannot be used because China does not want to openly declare the “friendship” with DPRK. So here we have EUR: EU is far away and the currency is open and freely convertible.
The food doesn’t seem too expensive at all
We need more posts like this
The restaurant doesn’t accept a $100.00 bill? Even if has the strip on the bill?
Hope this country gets freedom someday
ha-ha-ha, to get the illusion of freedom you have?

Oooh your kids are sooo big! How quick goes the time!
And delightful food
I laughed way too much when your daughter sneezed her snot across the food. 😂 For some reason, I thought your kids would behave differently because of your work and life, but after watching many of your videos, I see that they are normal little (adorable) brats. I hope you can keep your sanity as they grow. 😁
i enjoyed your comment, i was surprised the parents didn't say anything when she sneezed her snot across the food, but then realized that is normal family behavior.
I'm impressed, they say it's forbidden to film in North Korea, how did you do it?
It's an older video, when he got back to Indonesia he started uploading his daily life in NK, but I believe his first 23 videos or something was uploaded in NK. It's because the internet there is slow, I think he explained it in the description in one of his most popular video.
Thanks bang
Semoga d jwb rasa penasaran gw hhehe
I think the first dish was tofu but what were the second and third dishes? Second one a vegetable stir fry? Most of the English translations on the menu were soooo bad lol
In order.
French fries.
Rice.
Kimchi.
Tofu.
Mushroom and bokcoy stir fry.
Fish with mushroom.
Wow Jaka I thought I'd lost you but you're back! You are my favourite north Korean propagandaist! I love the authenticity for sure, the ash trays on the dining table completes the 1980's look, so life like it almost looks real!
He is not propaganda he is indonesian diplomat for north Korea
the real propaganda is america
12:20 what was the issue with the currency? Did they prefer US dollar at first? But was it damaged somehow?
The USD ironically is the strongest and most preferred currency in NK from foreigners.

@@RazPerignon 🤨
Damn how much they paying you?
Dont go inside kitchen they must be catching rats in the back so that they can find some protein for meal. 😆
Nah I’m good with Ruth Chris
Not gonna lie it's incredibly strange watching you guys eating so well while the rest of the country you're in is starving.
Maybe because they are not starving out there and you watching too much United States propaganda that says they are😂
The heck you mean by that? 😂 So full of hypocrisy. So rich people can't eat good food cause others can't afford it? How about you Graham Van Dyke? Heck, even in his home country (Indonesia) lots of people are still in poverty and starving.
I mean, do you want them to starving too?
They are diplomat, not the people of NK. So I think that's reasonable
I am surprised you label you prices with the euro.
Hallo bang
Mohon maaf bang numpang nanya..
di Korea abang dalam agenda apa?
Nice bang video nya karena saya benar2 penasaran dengan kehidupan di North Korea ❤

di korut ada kentang mustofa ternnyata 😁
Looks absolutely delicious. Except from the menu pictures some beef dishes are raw beef ? Your daughters seemed to have no appetite barely swallowing a minute amount of food.
Korean barbecue I would assume
Yeah with how frequent North Korea have power outages, that's probably the last place I want to have sashimi in
This looks better than most restaurants in Paris!
