  • 3D Printed DC-15A Stormtrooper Rifle Blaster | Massive 52" STAR WARS BLASTER 3d Print Clone Wars Clone Trooper
    Hello Everyone! I had a request for this several months ago and I finally managed to get it finished. This DC-15A is 52 inches long which doesn't seem like much until you have it in your physical presence and then... IT'S MASSIVE. It's definitely the biggest thing I have ever print! The blaster is made of 32 different pieces and print times range from 12 minutes to 13 hours. But all the time is worth the wait!
    Yeah, Yeah I misspoke. It's not a Stormtrooper blaster it's a Clone Trooper.

    That bottom part at the end of the blaster that looks like a scope is actually an optic sight for the scope. I think its at the bottom for close range engagments when you don't actually need a scope but can be taken off and put on the top of the blaster when needed.

      @@Jacob-uf5fe From what I remember the DC-15A doesn’t have a grappling hook. The DC-17 does (I think that’s the pistol)
      If the DC-15A does have one then I would assume it’s an exchangeable attachment

    when i was modeling my own dc-15, i found the scope, if it were its own seperate piece, could be removed from the bottom and fit perfectly on the top rail thing on the barrel. I presume the scope, functionally, serves as a back up or for long distance shooting

      It's a supposed sniper scope that is stored on the bottom. "A sniper scope was stowed underneath the rifle, which could be detached and re-attached to the weapon's iron sights, located directly above it." - Star Wars Fandom.

    • @haasofprops
      @haasofprops  Před 2 lety +1

      I didn’t add up the time, but A LOT!!
      It depends, each project is different. In this case I built it as a whole piece and then split it into printable pieces.

    hi im making the blaster as we speak. But I see that your part 19 is different than the 3d file. you have a little arch and on the 3d file the arch is filled

    • @haasofprops
      @haasofprops  Před rokem

      The arch happened on mine, because the piece warped slightly when it was printing. (It's not intentional). So, later I filled in this area with a spot putty. I hope this helps and thank you for using this design!!!
