    Thanks! After seeing some embossing examples at a Paper Source shop, and getting a demonstration, I seemed to have caught the stamp/embossing bug. Fortunately I already had a few supplies--for just normal stamping. I watched a few videos the other day for more information on embossing and one of them pointed at these pens but didn't actually demo them. When I went for a few other essentials today, like the anti-static bag, I saw these and grabbed them. You've inspired me and made me glad I got them. Thanks again!

    I have the Ranger embossing pens and never remember to use them!!! You have motivated me to work on remembering because they are awesome!!! I think I would like to get the Versa Mark one too just for the brush end. I will have to use them on a project in the near future. Thank you so much for sharing and motivating me :) Hugs...Janie

    Just curious, what cardstock are you using in this video? I have found that with my embossing pens (Versamarker, Zig Emboss and Scroll Pen), I don't get very good results with regular (Recollections) cardstock because the embossing medium soaks into the paper so quickly. However, with Bristol Smooth paper I get really good results because that paper isn't as porous as regular cardstock, I guess. I'm certain that embossing pens would work really, really well on glossy paper or cardstock. I haven't tried the Ranger Emboss It pens yet, but I have had an itch to for a while now. Have you tried your embossing pens on many types of cardstock?

    I have used the RANGER "Perfect Medium" pen. have you ever used that for an embossing pen? Also, do you use ranger perfect pearls embossing powder?

      I have not tried the Perfect Medium Pen, and I used embossing powder. Thanks for watching! :)

    hi there. im new at heat embossing, im using "ZIG emboss writer" it is a embossing pen, but when i use it, the powder wont stick on to the paper and when i try to heat it, almost all of the powder fly away, maybe you can share some usefull tips?

    • @CraftyPinkPixie
      @CraftyPinkPixie  Před 7 lety +2

      I have not used that pen yet, but it may dry too fast. Try something small to test it out and make sure you can see it on the paper; if not the pen may be dried out. Also, sometimes too much powder comes off when you shake the paper and you'll have to apply more to cover the space.
      I found the pens from Ranger work really well. I have not had any issues.
      I'm not sure what brand of powder you're using, but I have had good results with WOW and Simon Says Stamp brands. :)

      Ooh ok. I use ranger embossing powder too. Maybe i should try your brand too. Thank you for your information

  • @jacquicmd
    @jacquicmd Před 7 lety +2

    I tried using these on heavy cartridge paper but the embossing powder does not stick. I wonder if it is because the paper absorbs the ink or maybe my embossing powder is too think.

    • @CraftyPinkPixie
      @CraftyPinkPixie  Před 7 lety +1

      I've used WOW and SSS brand embossing powder and both have worked fine for me. It may be the paper; I use Neenah 80 lb paper for my cards and in the demo. Hope this helps! :)
