North and South Korea are essential for China's security needs. More so than Taiwan. This is because, unlike Taiwan, the Korean peninsula is very close to China's center of gravity: Beijing. This makes Korean peninsula essential to protect China's security needs. In particular, in this video we will analyse 2 main factors: Korea's role as the main invasion route towards China and Beijing; and secondly, its hidden role as the first link of the first island chain.

Great CZcams video, but I found the background music was way too loud and distracting. I would strongly suggest you get rid of it altogether. I firmly believe that background music is distracting, annoying, and unnecessary (especially for educational or opinionated videos with lots of talking). I also believe that people want to hear you speak/get information/hear your opinions and not hear generic background music that doesn't really add anything useful and that people have to mentally filter out. Plus it will be one less thing you will have to do when making videos. Thank you.

The first Korean country 'Joseon' was settled in 2000 BC, and it started spreading out from current Chinese Manchuria land to current North Korean land. Most Korean-based tribes started its civilization from Manchuria to Korean peninsula, and most chinese-based tribes started from Southern Chinese area. There were few big invasions from Chinese to take over Manchuria from 'Goguryeo Dynasty' when Chinese had 'Sui dynasty', 'Dang Dynasty', but all attempts failed and Korean kept Manchuria land until 676 AD (They lost all Northern land after Unified Shilla because Shilla allied with Dang Dynasty to take over two other Korean kingdoms ,Goguryeo and Bakjae, and they promised to give northern land if it succeeds). Manchuria was not only for Korea, but there were many non-chinese Manchurian tribes who got forced to become Chinese now. Ironically, Chinese last 'Qing Dynasty' is not actually Chinese but Manchurian tribe. (China got taken over by Manchurian, but they are embarrassed to admit it, so they just say Manchurian is also Chinese lol). Chinese had been taken over and ruled by many non-chinese tribes for a long time. Even Won dynasty was also ruled by Genghis Khan and his sons for few hundreds years when Korea kept its own dynasty and government that time. Those typical chinese traditional stuffs like Chi pao is not Chinese but Manchurian tribe culture.
So the main point is, China already forced to merge Southern Mongolia, Tibet, Hong Kong, and Uighur which all are insisting that they are NOT chinese and they have their own identity.. If China is keep bullshitting with the original stuff, Manchuria is originally and historically Korean land, so we have a right to merge that land as Korean territory with Chinese logic. Stop being dirty in the world politics and just be calm. Please have a lesson through 'British trade war', 'Japanese Manchuria War' and all ancient wars with Korea and Vietnam that we eventually beat you guys up. Chinese have no War DNA, you guys are not warriors, especially 'han' tribe is incompetent. Guys, China will eventually bring a huge trouble in the world politics, and they are the cancer of this world. We need to either destruct or restrain this cancer-like country.

Most foreign invaders that conquered or tried to conquer mainland China first invaded the Korean peninsula in advance to secure the invasion route: the Khitans, the Jin dynasty, the Mongols, the Toyotomi regime of Japan, the Qing dynasty, and the Empire of Japan. The Chinese often call the Korean peninsula a “dagger” pointed at mainland China from a geopolitical perspective. The Korean Peninsula is still at the forefront of the Cold War due to the confrontation between democracy and communism(autocracy).
The Korean Peninsula, which has long been plagued by aggression from China and Japan, is now divided by ideological conflicts.
As a S.Korean, I am proud that even during the worst Cold War, S.Korea did not fall for communism and protected liberal democracy.
If you look at the world map when the Soviet Union existed, North Korea, China and the Soviet Union were all red teams except South Korea, but South Korea did not give in to them until the end.
Of course, the situation is the same now..

      Are you joke??
Did you ever see or watched WORLD MAP? I’m seriously, not jokes
If you ever spend 2mins or fews minutes ever look at the maps, you know Taiwan, Vietnam and North Korea is IMPORTANT TO CHINA.
I’m not Korean or Chinese, but I’m Vietnamese
Southeast Asian but stay RIGHT NEXT IN SOUTHERN CHINA.
Vietnam is Southeast Asia but because of geography so Vietnam close to China & East Asia but also close to others Southeast Asian .
That’s why Vietnam kinda like between both continent (East Asia & Southeast Asia)
That’s why CHINA help Vietnam in US-VN wars, they help us medical, weapons just like Russia (Soviet areas) help us.
Because Vietnam stay right next to SOUTHERN CHIBA & IS THE WAY TO GOING TO FROM WEST SEAS TO INTERNATIONAL SEAS!!
Because in higher is Japan block them. In middle is South Korean & Taiwan block them!!
That’s why only in Southern China where Vietnam stay, if Vietnam get push into Euro or US it dangerous for China.
China in Asia knowing as Dragon block in the land.
That’s why China is crazy mental ARROGANT when it come to island & seas!!
I’m not saying it right, but somehow I can understand their situation.
That’s why after US-VN wars, we’re close friendships but we also have bad relationships with China.
Be friend then be enemies, good relationships then bad relationships just because of Island & Sea borders
China stolen 2 Vietnam island. It was because when US about lost & plan leaving. Vietnam give China stay on the island & they’re took it & never gave back. And they’re use this chance & bite Vietnam in the back stolen another islands.
That’s why it broken relationships between both country.
When I was teenage & young adult I always mad angry about this.
I’m not say it right, but as I said SOMEHOW I UNDERSTAND WHY CHINA CRAZY MENTAL DESIRE WANT THESE ISLAND & SEAS CONTROL.
Look at human history no powerful country don’t have their way go to the seas. Canada have 2 side by oceans& going to international seas without no one control
US, RUSSIA, India, Australia is same, all have 2 sides or huge seas border gi directly to international seas!!
      Brazil is same
French, Spain have huge side border to the seas
      Even Egypt & Greece.
China have 1 side to the seas, but all island country around next to China is US & Europe allies.
That’s why they’re scare if they get block. And US ARMY BASE build army base & navy point their weapons on China ass!!
That’s why China won’t never let NORTH KOREA LOST TO SOUTH KOREA & US.
Even Kim is arrogant’ not usually follow China advice. But China will always support them some basic stuffs as medical, rice & militias stuff if it needs.

The map rotation (not having up being north) and switching the rotation every other scene is very disorienting. I know it's to keep the video engaging but it's distracting and confusing. Another thing I noticed is how you switch the way you report numbers from percentage to fractions (when you said 11% of land produces 1/3 of agriculture). When the video is throwing details at you constantly, the comparison and impact of the numbers often gets lost without having to pause and think about it
