      @@worldisfilledb they cant make money how many of the people see istanbul vs young boys if on same time liverpool vs ajax is going on same day of ucl group stage minority of people watch the first one....big teams have big fan base and they only watch there match during the same time if other matches are going on...what does uefa does to promote small teams ..dutch leage only have one promotion to the ucl group stage which is good league it only have one qualification spot for ucl and other have and thus all ..qualification spots are given on the rights of money gain by FA nd Uefa through the leagues...and viewership...many big teams have wast viewership around the world.pre season game against real madrid and united went to nearly 100k pepole in the stadium in america ..see how they both team are have large fan base around whole world...so it will be affected..

    Those few days were monumental and we can’t ever let outselves forget just how close we came to losing our lifeblood, our religion.
    This was very nearly the death of football before our very eyes and I’ll be forever inspired and grateful for the way the football community came together as one to stop this.

    Goddamn, the interview with klopp is heartbreaking. The way he sighs again and again when he wants to speak his mind but cant say what hes thinking (yet). The way he as a footballer and a fan is frustrated about the soul of the game. The way he understands the fans anger but wants to protect the team he helpt build and grew close to.     I've watched and rewatched this several times. The way the whole football community came together, rivalries disappeared, there was one voice made my heart swell with pride. I'm a gooner and the wife a Chelsea supporter. We went down to the Bridge and when that announcement that Chelsea had left the place erupted, hugs, kisses, cheering. Even the police were clapping and celebrating with us. A real monumental moment!

    After how good the season was this year, with the title race, top 4 battle and relegation battle, it's scary how this almost went through. Wouldn't be able to experience anything like it again.

      The main reason they are plugging all the hate against the ESL is because they have such a huge contract with the Premier league which would be jeopardised if this goes through. While I agree with everything Neville says we must remember that it's in sky's best interests for this ESL not to happen

      @@Sal77 Personally, I am a Fulham fan. I cannot claim to love and support my club as much as you and so many do. But more than Fulham, I love football. I honestly feel it holds us all together so much, Muslim, Black. White, Christian, Female, Male, Working class, upper class... I just love what this sport has done to us and this super league thing is appalling. Really heart-breaking. I love Fulham yes, but I also love Liverpool, United... I love football man.

Up until today, it was always Arsenal first, but I once went to Charlton and I loved it there, maybe I'll support them, but I live really close to non-league Ebbsfleet Utd (Gravesend and Northfleet). So, I'll probably go there next season. But I'm 100% with you mate. I have a soft spot for Fulham as well and I've always liked Scott Parker. Football fans united for the love of the game.

    I've never liked klopp. As a united fan I've never really liked him. But I had respect for him. Now I respect and I am in awe of him. If only bigger players like Ronaldo or messi would speak up because they can really make the change needed

      I would like a step further. I want the fans to have to have the power to democratically elect their own owners. I know this wouldnt pass nowadays but i think the 50 50 rule is a good step there. Lets use this situation to make this happen

      For sure. An institution as important to England as the Premier League and the teams that comprise it, as with La Liga to Spain and Serie A to Italy, shouldn't be left completely down to whim of private owners. It's too risky, and then things like this happen where a very small handful of people can tear down the sporting history of and scar the culture of an entire continent.

    That was very a very powerful speech by Gary. Very powerful indeed. Carragher's 'mafia' quote was amusing.
    I felt for Klopp. I know he wanted to say more but probably felt a little restrained because of the owners. We got the message though. He is in the strongest position of the big 6 to say something having won the league and champions league
    I believe there is something deeper to this than the Super League.
