@@ppoul2366 I am pretty sure other clubs in the world would hire Jurgen and pay him a LOT of money if he got sacked for speaking his mind. On top of that, he'd keep his integrity. This way, he will end up selling his soul for money that he would be able to obtain in any scenario.

I've watched and rewatched this several times. The way the whole football community came together, rivalries disappeared, there was one voice made my heart swell with pride. I'm a gooner and the wife a Chelsea supporter. We went down to the Bridge and when that announcement that Chelsea had left the place erupted, hugs, kisses, cheering. Even the police were clapping and celebrating with us. A real monumental moment!

Exactly. This is the American greedy neoliberal capitalism model that trying to implementing in European sport, football in particular. Less and less open competition and monopoly on TVs right. That whats happen in my opinion. I came up with this analysis because in the past 10 years they always get annoyed when sharing revenue with other small teams or tax regulation and other restrictions that can hamper their profit maximization principal.
People used to laugh at the big six clubs fans that complained about the greed scum owners. Now they see what we have been seeing for years now.

For sure. An institution as important to England as the Premier League and the teams that comprise it, as with La Liga to Spain and Serie A to Italy, shouldn't be left completely down to whim of private owners. It's too risky, and then things like this happen where a very small handful of people can tear down the sporting history of and scar the culture of an entire continent.
