All the kids screaming and demanding from their parents! Then the polite little boy, waving his hands and saying ,âNo thanks, Mommy!â Finally, one who has been taught good manners and respect! So adorable! I did feel bad for him tasting the food he didnât like, but he was a trooper!
The really sad thing is that it means that only 1% of the children in the world are being taught manners.

If my kids had ever asked for vegetables, or a second serving of vegetables, I would have been ecstatic and would have made them on the spot! Now living on their own, they have become vegetable and salad eaters and have found, and even created, some rather excellent healthy meals. Couldnât be prouder.
You really shouldnt. At that point reverse psychology is on your dide so you could say "no thats all for today" alwsys keep the kid wanting more. And just minimize the unhealthy food you buy. And boom gotcha a healthy kid

My kids and grandkids had their manners down by the time they were old enough to sit at the table, there is no excuse not to expect it from them. Parents think bad behavior is cute when their little ones are young but when do you think you should teach them proper manners??? It starts when they're young

@@peggystern just so you know every time you do that you look really petty⊠This is the Internet, I hate typos as much as the next person and I will point it out when that same person is being holier than thou correcting others, but you must understand there are people from all over the world many of whom donât speak English as their first language but will type in English to communicate with the world at large. As well⊠I have brain injury and itâs very difficult to sit and type, so I use talk to text a lot. It often makes exactly those kinds of mistakes, and sometimes you donât catch them all. All in all, just a really ridiculous thing and the only thing you are contributing is shooting down someone elseâs opinion without really being direct about it, or providing anything of value yourself to the conversation. I wonder.. if maybe you have a tendency to do that in other areas of your life as well. Itâs kind of ugly.

True, I have a niece and nephew who only eat pop tarts, chicken nuggets, Mac n cheese, French fries, pizza, ice cream, donuts, candies, and various Doritos, Cheetos bags of coloured, salted, preserved death.
When my SIL comes to visit, it is absolutely miserable sharing meals with them. We donât eat junk food. We serve fresh, whole food that my wife and I prepare, and she arrives with a full cooler and overflowing shopping bags. Iâve asked her not to give these things to our children but she tries all the time.

When I was pregnant with my son, I could not look at chocolate without getting sick. But could not get enough veggies. He was born and when he started eating food food, he would eat veggies like crazy. Was not until he was like 5 did he start liking chocolate and even now, it has to be a Hershey bar. The children would eat vegetables if the parents knew how to cook them well, making them palatable and not just boiled. Try dressing them with oil and vinegar as a salad. Or making them braised with a sauce

That last one, I'm sorry but she lets that kid do what he wants. She protests him when he gets up and she laughs at him when he does this, like it's a game. Then he slams the freezer door shut, or forcefully shuts it and takes a bag of popsicles out. I know, it's not a big deal to some parents, but you know there has to be some boundaries. Not just in this case, but across the board. How can a kid take the parent seriously with this kind of behavior? It's like these kids that are allowed to get up from the table and walk around , do whatever and then come back to the table, etc. Ugh!!

Um.. is anyone going to mention the flashbacks of when you were a child and your parents/foster parents/ adopted parent/s forcing you to eat. Mine was spaghetti bog with Parmesan. Parmesan I still canât eat it without smelling vomit.

For a short time I lived in the poorest country in Africa. .while all these children in the videos are precious I bothers me to see them turn their nose up to healthy foods and insisting on getting cake etc. So disrespectful towards food. We are so lucky to have the abundance and choice of foods while others are starving

Only a slouchy, good for nothing, father would give pancakes for dinner...she needs meat, vegetables, dairy and a starch for dinner so she can go to sleep with a nice full tummy...with nutrients required to grow up healthy...Its sad she had to tell him how things are....My guess he is a divorced dad ...this is his weekend...and he is as lazy about doing things right with his child as he probably was with his former wife and that's why his x wife kicked him to the curb.

@@Linda-9037 my mom studied home economics in college back in the day, and was all about a balanced meal including all the things you mentioned, which was great, since she was also a really good cook. But, every now and then she would let us have pancakes and sausage or bacon for dinner, which we loved. My issue was with the tone of the kidâs response. If dad fed her that stuff all the time, it would be wrong, and I could understand her frustration, but we donât know.

My youngest boy went through a stage where he wouldnât eat anything but chicken. His older brother had a brilliant idea one day to just start calling things by another name. Thereafter the younger boy would happily eat âsalad chickenâ but not âsaladâ âbacon chickenâ but not âbaconâ , âchicken toastâ; anything as long as he thought it was chicken. Also when he was about 2 or 3 years old my wife would let him see her cutting up carrots and celery into small finger-sized sticks and putting them on little plates. Then sheâd put the plates in cupboards around the house, warning him not to touch them. By lunchtime the plates would all mysteriously be clean and my little son would deny with a straight face ever touching the plates or the food.
Brilliant idea!! Kids seem to want to do the opposite of what they are told. So glad my kids are adults now buy miss having little ones around. Even my grandkids are adults.

I started my son on table food at 4 months. It all started Thanksgiving 1988, I left my pie on the couch just for a second to go get a fork, time I got back he had his hole face in the pie when i took it from him he cried, so it was time for regular food, everything in the blend.

Rule number 1 my mom taught meâŠ..never ever ask a kid what they want you to make for them. You just fix a meal for all and they eat it or are hungry or like my daughter does. She offers a choice of eat what you have or go to bed! A couple of times they chose bed, but learned that it wasnât worth it, in the mornings they were so hungry they stopped taking the bed options.
