@@HellWrex It HAS to be a generalization, because that's the mentality of the vast majority of cops. If you enjoyed camping, but everytime you went into the woods you get bit by a snake. It's never the exact same snake, but it's always a snake. Are you going to keep taking the bites because it's "not all snakes" or are you going to find a way to prevent getting bit on your next encounter? THAT's the American people's current dilemma right now, when it comes to dealing with police.

      Dude Poison
Listen Elmer Fudd, anyone with an IQ above that of warm butter and life experiences beyond that of a shut-in knows, the honest and well meaning cops are run out of the business to protect the system. The average “career” of a cop is 7 years. That doesn’t occur due to long lists of retirements. Cops don’t get fired so, if I’m making generalizations, where do they go? I’ll be waiting....

@@HellWrex Yeah not ACAB but how many of these videos have you seen where a cop does something clearly stupid, and no one calls him out on it? Or pulls him aside to maybe tell him it's a bad idea? I won't go as far as to say cops as a general rule are bad but the GOOD ones never seem to be around when someone's rights are being violated. It is hard for the average person to not view Police as a whole as the bad thing that the bad ones make them out to be. They have ULTIMATE power in every situation (don't resist, deal with it in court), have the force of the state backing them, the force of a union backing them. So no not ACAB but its also not my job as a civilian with less rights and authority than them to carry their water for them when they do shit like this. It's ALWAYS about what THEY fear, what THEY suspect, what THEY can prove and what THEY think is necessary.

They'd never get to taze anyone if they actually used their brain. Or stoke their ego telling their grandkids about having to karate chop a nigga in a wal-mart parking lot one time in 2019.
The thing about all these videos is that, despite how prevalent they are, this still isn't every case. So you have a LOT of cases where a suit is never filed. Then you have a much smaller set of cases where a suit is filed. Then you have an infintessimly small percentage of cases wherein a suit is filed that actually returns an award, unless it's so egregious that it forces the City into a settlement. And those victorious cases take years. There's one case I just researched where the guy filed a suit against the city/police, it was in DIstrict Court for three years, and then a judge just dismissed it one day claiming that it was invalid because the individual police officers (though named on the suit) weren't individually notified of the suit by a process server. Thousands in legal retainers, hundreds in filing fees, three years of litigation, and a judge just dismissed it all on a technicallity. Start all over. Meanwhile all those cops are still on the job. And it'll be another 3 years before it gets close to adjudication. And in a smaller still percentage of cases, the violation is upheld yet the cop still stays on.
So yea, despite body cams, despite cellphones, despite dedicated youtube channels, despite increasing scrutiny, despite it all; the odds are still in their favor of being able to abuse authority and lie about it.

@wowalinbie Well, the woman said that the man had keys "but didn't use them to anything", karen forgot that remote control of central locking is a thing.
"Saw you going into cars" is also a false accusation by the officer, the lady who called the cops said all the time that the man went into ONE car and that he had keys.
Easiest way for the cop to work this out would've been to check the registration plate, see the name on the SUV, then check the motorcycle, like the second cop did.
Basically, the officer saw a blackman and forged the whole thing by misinterpreting that going into ONE car somehow meant many cars.
Also, mind you, you cannot get into an SUV like that without keys, if you do it starts screaming bloody murder with it's alarm.
+ The man evidently had no crowbar or any other kind of tool to get into a locked vehicle and there was no damages to the SUV to show that locks were tampered with.
As an aftermath the cop assaulted the civilian for no reason and put him into handcuffs after tasing him.
The man is entitled to getting a large sum in settlement and that cop is entitled to getting fired for being worst cop of the year.

The officer should have started off by saying that from the beginning, that they had received a report that someone matching his description was seen rummaging through a vehicle on the other side of the car park before walking over to the other side. The victim would have easily replied that it was their car, and that he owns both the car and the motorcycle - case closed.

Police will investigate themselves and no wrongdoing will be found. Taxpayers pick up the tab, culprits will be promoted and the cycle continues with zero lessons learned.

If the cop had said to Mr. Domino, sir we have a witness that said that you were rummaging through a car in this lot and I'm investigating the complaint. Mr. Domino may have said, "That was my car that I was rummaging through." The arrogant cop should have conducted the investigation differently, the woman did say at least twice that he left the car and didn't appear to have taken anything, but the cop jumped on the you stole some thing theme. He could have explained the situation and avoided all the BS. That cops needs to have one of three things done to him: 1. More training on de-escalating a situation 2. Being reprimanded for minimizing his behavior in the incident and been given a suspension or 3. FIRED!

If she had seen him jimmying the door or window, had seen a different driver exit the vehicle and then this guy going over covertly and rummaging through…. That would be suspicious.

@@the_coreyjohnson I disagree. She was completely honest about what she saw. It’s up to the cops to take that information and do what they will with it. It’s their fault. Here’s an extreme example: woman calls the cops on a man for quietly sitting on a bench but she suspects he just shoplifted because he’s wearing nice clothes. Hopefully the cops would have enough sense to leave him alone right? As long as the caller is being honest then the responsibility is on the cops.

it's because of the distinction of ignorance of the law of officers being condonable above their duty. they are legally required to interpret the law to the best of their ability, but if they are wrong, and you agree with them anyway, the consequences follow through. basically, when a lawyer sucks at law, they get fired, but not a cop, and when a citizen sucks at law, they break them, but not a cop, because a cops job is to 'enforce' them and this somehow can instead of coming with perfect understanding of the law, comes with lots of mulligans.

It's because the department investigate themselves. What complete bullshit. If you ask a criminal to investigate his own crime, of course he's not just going to call himself guilty. A 3rd party needs to investigate police officers.
