I can see how Ezra would be a guardian and how Luke would be a counselor. I love how Ahsoka fits as centurion with her white sabers. She seems to not care which direction the Force leads her. She is a vessel for the Force.

  • @Scallywaag

I always thought Ezra had a green sober because at the time while Kanan was blind and not teaching him, he was learning form the Sith holocron and focusing on the esoteric parts of the force instead of the Guardian way.

  • @kronos1794

The majority of Ezra's career has him leaning more towards a counselor than a guardian. When trying to destroy the sith he didn't seek to better his battle prowess, he sought the deeper knowledge of the force for answers. Basically any time he wasn't being instructed by Kanan in the ways of the guardian Ezra seemed to naturally go the way of the counselor. He just seems like he was much more in tune with the force than Kanan or even Ahsoka at that point, she had to go through an entire spiritual journey to unlock the ability to communicate with the purrgil while Ezra did it on instinct.

I miss Ezra's saber pistol, it was incredibility unique.

  • @richee333

But the real reason that Luke has a green blade is because it showed up better against the blue sky in the scrap between him and Jabba's forces above the Sarlac pit

  • @kylewarren5268

He had a blue saber originally. All that's happening here is he went back to the color....

  • @rotzie8834

Ezra with a yellow lightsaber; think about it

I think season 2 we’ll see Ezra take an apprentice, my bet is Jason sindula. It’s like coming full circle from kanen’s apprentice to training his son later.

I think the channel might be wrong about something here. Ezra isn't a guardian or a consular. He has chosen a new path completely, and it seems to me this new path leaves Ezra as a new kind of force user. He pulls from both the guardian and consular paths, and is able to go without a light saber without being helpless. His movements, his confidence, his adaptability, and battle intellect are all sharp as a razor by the time we see him in Ahsoka. He is not weak or helpless without a lightsaber, because he understands that the lightsaber is but one tool, one option amongst many that one can use to fight. The item you hold is not a weapon, the person wielding it is. To a point you could say that ezra has learned one point from sith combat doctrine. And that is, that lightsabers are a secondary weapon, the force is their primary. So too has ezra learned not to over rely on a piece of crystal in a tube. But on himself, and the force as his ally. Ezra was putting on display just how powerful an individual can be with the force alone. I don't think Ezra is making a mistake here, he's making a point to the old jedi order. They were wrong to rely so heavily on their lightsabers for combat. Their doctrine stagnated for a long time, and became a point that consulars would bud into on philosophical premises, where perhaps they had no business to. Lightsaber forms were all supposed to have purpose and utility. Then, over time, the order bickered and banned/restricted forms out of fear. And that was the beginning of the end. And Ezra was the one to learn as he rose from the ashes of the order. But that's just one nerd's opinion... love the videos guys, keep it up!

  • @Kyllinge

People are over-thinking this blue lightsaber choice. Ezra made his new blade from spare parts on the ship; it isn't like they made a detour to Ilum for new crystal. It was simply the one the droid picked up.

  • @th3b0untyhunter

Most likely Ezras new crystal simply came from Huyangs stock of parts.

  • @InfiniteNaos

I like that Ahsoka pretty much developed a new type of Jedi role that Thrawn named for her. The Jedi Guardian, Jedi Consular, Jedi Sentinel, and now Jedi Ronin. Maybe it won’t ever be another role in the Order, but it would be a nice addition to what’s not known very often similar to the Jedi Shadows.

  • @ussfury13

So I have always assumed that the Green Crystal he took from the Crossguard Lightsaber he found on Malachor after his was destroyed. So he was working with whatever he had at that moment. Going back to the blue crystal is just what he was always meant to have

  • @doodtheman2508

I think Ezra's lightsaber represents his intentions at a given moment. He began as a Guardian eager to take the fight to the Empire with the Rebels. Then he became a Consular as he slowly grew more interested in learning the intricacies of the Force than martial skills, to the point of discarding his Jedi weapon to pursue mastery of the Force. Now he's back and he's actively fighting to protect his family, a Guardian once again. It's only a pity he didn't have a brief stint as a Sentinel for a bit.

  • @theperipatetic2165

Excited to see what they do next with Ezra. Hopefully we don't have to wait for Ahsoka Season 2 to continue his story, since he is back in the main galaxy.

  • @jonathancapel3595

My question is what would Sabine be? To me, she exemplifies a guardian more than a counselor, given that she's always ready for a fight. The only thing that might give her counselor qualities is her love of art and her ability to study and decipher it. But other than that, she's a defender through and through.

  • @MrArthurKF

So I’m always interested in your videos! The format is exceptional and informative. Positive and thought provoking. I enjoy many of the Star Wars channels to help me think through all of what it is, but your is definitely my favorite. Long story short. Lol. I’d love to hear about the Ronin Jedi in more detail.

  • @wardlafferty5022

We have yet to see where Sabine’s stance in the Force is…maybe following in Ahsoka’s footsteps as a Jedi Ronin.

  • @OllamhDrab

The lightsaber color lore, various versions of it, always seems to be a topic of interest. I think some things are still a bit mysterious, like say how much imprinting or other means might represent, say, a Jedi's destiny or aptitudes, or more like where they're at at the time, or maybe even a strong hint from the Force what they

  • @EntityUnknown404

Thank you for making this video. Not enough people are acknowledging these parallels
