If possible the best master in Anakin's lifetime was a balance between quigon and dooku. The irony is dooku and Anakin were naturally drawn to each other. Had similar end goals and aligned potential in life; experiences as a prodigy or unruly student. If corruption by existing dogmas never existed they were the master and student for each other.

There's also the fact that the Jedi made Anakin a Clone Wars general. This was the perfect context for his rage and fear to fester. Of course he loved being a general, but the Jedi should have known better.

I also feel Revan is the Perfect Master for Sabine Wren, because he truly cares about the Mandalore people & wears their armor as a way of showing his support. He knows a lot about their culture & why they hate the Jedi so much & he hates the Jedi order for basically the same reasons. Sabine Wren, I think, would respond to this in a very positive way & look up to him & learn all she could from him. I think she feels negatively towards the Jedi too, & partially blames them for her lose of Ezra Bridger which is why she went with Baylan Skoll to find him.

An interesting thought and one I agree with personally. The Jedi didn't trust Anakin or believe in him and the Sith used him. Even before the suit, Knightfall Vader was talking about overthrowing the emperor in revenge of the Sith. He didn't want to dominate the galaxy, he wanted things to be neutral. No Jedi who put him down all the time and had hypocritical beliefs at the best of times and no Sith who use their strength to kill, hurt and dominate others to consolidate power. Anakin saw this at the end of Return of the Jedi when Luke redeemed him through Love and then fulfilled his prophecy of destroying the Sith and bringing Balance. After all Luke was basically the last Jedi until Disney interfered and so Luke rebuilt the order alone with his own teachings of Love, compassion and true balance. Had anakin had a more suitable teacher and this is no dis to Obi Wan, Anakin would have turned out to be far stronger than he was and far more accepting of things even to the point of going to the council and being like "yeah, so what if I'm married lol. It makes me stronger and more wise and understanding of Love and Compassion" Perhaps not in those words but the same idea. The Jedi would not have liked that but what are they gonna do? If they try to kill Anakin for it then Akakin would at least take a few down with him, formed a Jedi Rebellion or escape. If they banish Anakin then he would have earned a yellow Lightsaber for the new chapter in his life bringing balance and seeking out corruption wherever he found it. Honestly I'm not sure what scenario would have instilled more fear into both Sith and Jedi alike as without them Anakin would only continue to grow with Padme and their children before reaching Revan levels of power most likely

With qui gon guiding anakin he would have found balance, had a more healthy relationships with his wife (less possessive) and master (more open) and reformed the jedi back towards what they should be (less linked with the senate and more in tune with the living force).
Qui gon dying pushed the force into moving more towards the death of the jedi as the only path to balancing the force.
When it comes to love, possessive love leads to the darkside, a healthier love leads to the light, anakin fell because of one and was redeemed because of the other.

Now the question is if it is possible for the balance he has found to be taught to others, maybe not as strong as him as he is a singular anomalous being born of the force itself, but if he can find balance after experiencing both, then theoretically other characters could too.

I think it’s worth mentioning that Anakin”a relationship with Obi Wan was actually similar to that of Obi Wan’s with Qui Gon. They struggled in the early years and then had deep break through that created a strong bond between them. It was not all roses. Qui Gon almost abandoned Obi Wan to join the Jedi Council.
It occurred to me a few months ago, that Anakin disobeying the Jedi and being with Padme was also the will of the Force. Yoda saw there were questions with Anakin's training So there is always this focus on Anakin's training being the reason he fell to the dark side. But what if it was always known in the force that he had the potential to fall. And what if other things were put in his path to help him achieve his redemption and ultimately balance, even from the very beginning. Maybe it was the will of the Force that he meet Padme just as much that he meet Qui Son. Without Padme, there is no Luke and Leia and it was the love of his children that made him turn away from the dark side. And it's no surprise that we see him exercise his "chosen one" balance with Ahsoka, who while Luke and Leia are the kids he created with Padme, she is the kid he actually raised and loved like a younger sister or child.
What if it at the end of the day it didn't matter who trained Anakin, Qui Gon or Obi Wan. What if Qui Gon's job was simply to find the boy and it was the will of the force that he die. Yes, yes, I know...Duel of the Fates...but maybe it was about Palpatine losing an apprentice...Obi Wan summoning the strength to kill Maul. So many things were decided in those lightsaber duels. I don't think the council wouldn have allowed Obi Wan to train Anakin if he hadn't killed Maul. Finally Anakin explains it to us when he explains it to Ahsoka. No one was responsible for his fate but him and his choices. And it was understanding that he had that power of choice that allowed him to find balance in the force.
Why did the Jedi ultimately fall? I think at the end of the day it's because they under estimated the power of the dark side. Anakin/Vader said it himself to Luke.. And Palpatine lived it. His maneuvers were possible b/c the Jedi under estimated him and the power of the dark side. So much so that they put Anakin, who they knew had a tendency to be rash and volatile and color outside the lines, right in his scope when they sent him to spy on the Chancellor. Windu voices this under estimation perfectly when he says that if Anakin is in fact the "chosen one" he should be able to handle it. It was arrogant thinking like that that both kept the Jedi from sensing the Dark Side better and pushed Anakin to it. B/c it was treatment like that from his peers and Jedi that helped push Anakin toward Palpatine and his fears.

Alot of people would hate this, but i'd love it if they would cast Hayden Christensen as Revan if ever they canonise him and decide to make a spinoff series. The 'Chosen One' could be like the literal champion of the Force, who ends being born again every few thousand years when a Sith Lord gets too powerful and the Jedi are too out of the picture to deal with it or part of the problem themselves. Whenever he is born, he ends up growing up to look like Anakin and gets inhabited by his Force Ghost (though always temporarily forgets his past lives until he joins the Force again in physical death.) Revan could have been the 'first' Chosen One, then Anakin the second. Eventually, we see Revan unmasked and...it's Anakin. It would be cool af in my opinion, though it may take some getting used to for some people.

    This is a great video
It speaks truth regardless if it’s just a theory as it still makes sense non teb less
And I know revan is a popular character
But this video was more focused around anakin’s life would have been perfect by revan’s philosophy
Rather then what he revan did train anakin in the prequels and during wars(assuming revan was with bastila and after kotor)
I think the next video you should focus on how revan wouro have trained anakin and what anakin’s views of revan would be if revan were to take anakin under his wing
And regardless if this is about revan or not
Love and the idea of balance makes sense
    Because light is selfless
    dark is selfish
But in the middle you get empathy and love because it requires you to care about other more than yourself and care to the point it becomes personal aka centered around what the individual cares about not just the greater majority

This basically boils down to a much older argument/discussion, which is effectively that the Jedi Order, over the thousands of years it existed, lost sight of what was important and what the true meaning and importance of the force and unity with the force really was, and instead grew to follow a perverted, bastardized version of it. Anakin, I think, subconsciously understood and felt the balance in the force, the true meaning of unity and what the force really is, and the dissonance between what the Jedi forced him to be and what a true wielder of the force is meant to be, was the ultimate test.
Kind of like modern religion vs. what the original founders intended, IMHO. The Force as a whole, with all of its aspects, is a being unto itself. Yoda and many others say as much. As such, the force must be embraced and understood as a whole, and respected as an entity in and of itself, rather than seen only as a static aspect of the universe to be used as a tool, always the same, never changing.
I think it's important for Ahsoka to have forsaken the Jedi path, as well, because she is coming to embrace the same thing, a true balance, where Luke Skywalker in this iteration doesn't understand it, I think, until the very end.

Except that Revan was born, fought, an lived doing everything he ever did literal Eons either well before or around the time of the first Skywalkers. Someone as powerful with potential an raw abilities as him... The Jedi wouldn't have wanted to let him go once he was in the actual Order itself an they realized just what he was capable of. He definitely became one of their go to guys when Diplomacy probably wasn't gonna be an opinion an a Force wrecking ball was in order an needed a quick crushing handling.

Not Darth, but Revan reborn/redeemed would have been the perfect Jedi Master for Anakin. Revan was in many ways a Proto-Anakin, and would have known what Anakin was going through as he felt it himself. Either Revan would have freed Shimi by himself or he would have encouraged Anakin to find his mother after his first vision. Revan's love for his friends and family is what kept him from falling back to the Dark Side for 300 years as he was tortured by Vitiate.

I like the idea of Anakin having 2 masters was better for him. Both masters had a role to his balance. Obi-Wan drove Anakin towards the darkside and I believe Palpatine ultimately drove Vader to the lightside. Qui-Gon finding Anakin was the way of the force as Anakin had to follow the path of the lightside to find his journey to the darkside. Luke finding Vader was the way of the force as Vader had to experience the love of Luke to truly return to his balance form where no side is pulling or pushing anymore.

It would have been fun to see what the Jedi would have became if they had listed to Revan. Revan would have been a good master for Anakin. Revan would have understood Anakin’s love for his friends and wife. I feel like Anakin would have opened up to Revan more than he did to ObI-wan. Revan would have also understood Anakin’s pull to the Dark Side. He could have also taught him how to tap into it without falling into it and achieve true balance. Qui-Gon should have been Anakin’s master if it wasn’t that pesky original trilogy.

It really seems like “the balance” is always in a state of motion. It ebbs and flows throughout history. The dark side grows, gains power and spreads into the galaxy where the light side shrinks, weakens and retreats into the galaxy. The light side regains strength, fights back and push the dark to near extinction. On and on the cycle goes!

There are other Force user groups there, not just the Jedi or the Sith. Anakin could have learned from another teacher. One not wrapped up in the dogma that surrounds the Jedi and the Sith. My opinion is that Anakin was created by the Force because it wanted an heir.
It wanted a person to embody all of its power, not a light side or a dark side, but simply the Force. What we saw of Anakin in the World Between Worlds was perfect power, perfect knowledge and perfect mastery. The craziest part of all was he was still learning.
When in Ahsoka's memories, she had to tell where they were.

I agree with much of this from a philosophical point of view, but remember that this is not how the Force works. George Lucas never saw balance as being between the light and the dark. Instead, when he spoke of balance, he really meant harmony. That is, by its very nature, the Dark Side was a corruption of the Force, not an entire 50% of it. He saw the natural state of the Force as being light. It is like water. The Force in balance is a placid, serene pool. The Dark Side is a rock thrown in the water to make a splash; it is foreign to the true nature of the Force. Thus, there cannot really be balance between the light and dark sides of the Force.

    • @ATalesTruth-
      @ATalesTruth- Před 7 měsíci

Well GL said it was like ying and yang aka the darkside will always exist
But GL isn’t bright on this subject
Ying and Yang isn’t good or evil
And the light and dark are not synonymous with either
To say the balance is the light destiny the dark sounds like Jedi propaganda and nonsensical
Because if someone uses the darkside by definition the chosen one prophecy makes no sense if bring balance was permanent
But the fact is the jeid and sith were the problem and anakin helped destroy both
And in lore luke learns love to use the dark but not be 100% in it same with the light he will use the light but not be 100% I. It
The key is to know both to have balance in oneself
To not be blinded by ti much dark or to much light but enough to see and act accordingly
This is why his new Jedi order in legends is perfect because it follows this philosophy
And that even if you use the darkside you can always come back from the depths of it if you quote on quote get corrupted

Seems like Anakin was always meant to become Darth Vader in a sense, regardless of it was in name, appearance, or than likely, neither. As the Chosen One, Anakin was likely meant to embody all aspects of the Force, both Light and Dark. Perhaps a modern Je'daii, in a way. Still, Anakin made a fine Jedi Knight, and if Qui-Gon survived his encounter with Darth Maul, I think Skywalker would have absolutely fulfilled his destiny as the Chosen One.
Luke helped Vader see the error of his ways, and so he embraced the Light once more as Anakin, and he destroyed Sidious in the end, passing into the Force, his duty fulfilled afterall.
