Omg girl, this was SO MUCH FUN to paint! The one I did, I changed the color of the dress, but listening to you talk as I was painting to the replay, was so relaxing. You actually said take a deep breath and make sure to breath through your painting and I took such a deep breath and stretched out my neck and arm and instead of giving up....I continued but gave myself small breaks. I'm actually surprised at myself. Lol thanks so much, Sherpa! ❤

I’m so happy that you seem to be well on your way down that cha-cha path of better mental health! You look fabulously put together (at least from the waist up! 😂 I’d be wearing pajama pants under the table so I imagine that you do the same, of course 😆), and you just seem so much healthier again-your lovely spirit is beginning to shine outwardly again, which makes all of us “strangers” who adore you very happy!!
When you were having the little struggle with the shade-side eye, there was a brief moment that I could tell you were maybe starting to feel the twinge of defeat creeping in, and I was saying a little prayer and cheering you on as you kept trying… but then, I was *so* impressed by how you were able to recognize the difficulty you were experiencing, take a deep breath, step away and let it rest, pump yourself up a bit again, and remind yourself (and us) that “it’s just acrylic, if you don’t like it, you can let it dry and try again!”
I also always really appreciate when you try to do something exactly from the reference bc you like it on the reference, but when it doesn’t work out on your canvas for pleasing *your* artistic preferences, you just do something a little different than what the reference says! Artistic license is so important for the enjoyment of the task of creating art. 💯
You, Cinnamon, can be halfway through a video tutorial for a detailed piece like this, and if suddenly you felt it would make you happiest to change directions and turn it all into a Jackson Pollock stylized piece, then please do it!!
This is YOUR art! We love your tutorials but this is YOUR art, not ours. We all watch your videos for a variety of reasons, none of which are because we expect you to be a xerox machine that copies references exactly.
You should *always* only do exactly what makes your own artsy-fartsy-heartsy happy. 😘🫶🏻

I'm so in love with this painting and unfortunately I will have to do it later. My youngest with her 2 boys are going to be visiting me from the 7th to the 14th and we are going to Disney and Discovery Cove. Been looking forward to her visit for months now. Don't despair. We all get artist block sometimes. Before hand jump in and do an easier tutorial, or just grab some canvas paper and practice some techniques you are wanting to master. Then no pressure to complete a full painting as you are just practicing and perfecting some new skills. You CAN do !! 💖

I have been asking for a rat forever in this style. I suppose a mouse is close enough. Next we need a stream punk or Victorian crow , bay and octopus!!! But a little rough around the edges!!!! Hopefully one day you will do a gothic steam punk Victorian, non cutesy rat! Maybe with an umbrella, vane, or piper. Or maybe the octopus should have the umbrella and pipe. Kinda like Davy jones in pirates of the Caribbean

What if you don’t have white traceable but black instead? Would I put down the drawing first and paint around it? Would it affect the finish painting?
Yes, if all I had was that that’s how I would do it. I would do the trace first on the canvas and then carefully paint around it.
I am terrible at drawing, is there a traceable for this mouse 😢
