@srijitia 🥺 Did you unplug and plug it back in?

Love that editing style
I vote for the tube, it'll fit nice with that bonkers jet engine fan they reviewed once. The one that blew all the stuff that was behind it on the desk.
I've done a build in the tube. I've lost count of how many times I've run my fans at max speeds just to get that jet engine effect
Unfortunately the acrylic front panel severly restricts air flow. Absolutely chokes the computer to death. And the side slats are basically useless.
@srijitia 🥺 Good.
The tank is currently winning on the votes, but looking at how the polls are split up on Twitter, we might see both the tube and the tank.
@@christopherbarrows5040 is this the equivalent of revving a car engine?
Revving up your PC fans roaring to cool your CPU for a blender run?
I've built a lot of strange cases over the years. The biggest surprise was the "Train case", it was sheer genius by Lion-Li. The design looked like a perfect model, but the compartments were arranged for an easy install, and great cooling. Best case ever, I hope they bring it back.
Lion-Li more like Lionel
The tube has my vote for a build. I’ve considered buying this case as I have serious height limitations and I like the idea of the components being mounted vertically
Not as bad as Linus' height limitations! #shortlinus
I just wish they hadn't cut off 3/4 of the fans airflow. It would actually be a cool design for cooling.
I built one in it myself. Makes for a good upper-mid level pc. A bit limited when it comes to gpu width ratherthan length. An rx 6700xt from gigabyte just barely fit in.
Toob
I have this case for a emulation gaming pc so that extra room for two 3.5 hdd was perfect. I can confirm that the front fan being mostly blocked really hinders intake airflow badly and I’m thinking about drilling holes into the front plexi panel
I want to see both the tank and spaceship. Maybe a "diorama" of an epic battle between the two cases.
Easy colab with Nerdforge in the making with the Diorama suggestion!
The spaceship I am sure GN did it. I wonder if I've seen the tank there too.
tank and spaceship already done by GN so it'll be uninteresting to see it uploaded here
the EDI case is begging to be turned into TwinBee or OpaOpa by a Sega fan
@@brianv3ntura I don't stink Steve actually built in the Tank. They just looked at it and bolted some fans on if Im remembering it correctly.
Awesome guys thank you so much for including me in this! Adding the power button to the backplate is a great suggestion and one that I will start implementing.
@yuel beast do you think there could be a way to design that same case so that the GPU is vertical with the connectors on the bottom?
@@bryantjopplin So kinda yes? There are alot of Atlas builds (another chassis of mine) that use the orientation that you are reffering too. There is also a very nice monument build by a a modder/youtuber modsbyben who built the monument in an alternative layout that might be worth taking a look at.
The Tank one looks like it would be fun to see a build in. I'd imagine you could even snag a War Thunder or World of Tanks sponsorship from it too.
The spaceship one would have been cool to see a build on when Lightyear came out and based it around that
The Tank also doesn't seem too much of a waste of space. It's more or less a tower laid flat on its side with a turret on top.
@@tz8785 That sounds exactly like a huge waste of space to me xD
i personally have the tank case and it was so hard getting my components in there, looks badass though
I thought for sure he was gonna say some good "Paint Job" would've turned that ship into a GREAT ShuttleCraft !! It's just about the right shape.and a little modding and your good to go! DAMIT JIM,NO PAINT !!
@@tz8785 Early desktop computers generally had what we'd now call a sideways tower setup. I think it may have been around the time ATX became a standard that towers started to take over since they could be hidden under a desk easier. Some desktops were designed to have a CRT monitor sit on stop of them while some earlier more affordable home computers (Spectrum, Commodore) had the computer and keyboard as one unit (you'd generally plug those into a CRT TV). I should probably note that most of that was before my time (I do occasionally watch channels like ComputerPhile and 8-bit guy).
I actually really like the tube case. It’s different without being goofy and one could assume it’s thermals are pretty good. The acrylic is a bummer, I know curved glass is expensive but if it had glass instead of acrylic I’d be tempted to buy that damn thing lol.
Edit: also I can’t believe no cougar cases made the list, they have so many bizarre case designs
a cougar got a mention.
If it had glass, that would easily double or triple the costs due to custom manufacturing and the associated extra packing materials to secure it, as well as an even bigger shipping penalty. I don't see a reality where this thing having a glass window could even be a viable product on the market tbh
Some other comments said the case actually has hindered airflow due to a chunk of the intake being blocked I think. There were some suggestions to add holes to it to fix said limitations.
Doing a 3 rad monster in the tank PC would be amazing. Imagine the cooling power!
I want to see how small of a fan Alex can find to put inside the barrel
send them to the Ukraine please
Nah, I prefer to use Ryzen 9 7900. 65watt, 50°c no heat. Unlike Intel core i9 4x the energy consumption space heater. Just to get the exact same fps.
3 rads? what are they cooling with the 3rd rad? or do you mean a custom loop with 3 radiators
The K2 has unfortunately been discontinued, it's unfortunate because it's a really decent case and can hold a fair amount of hardware.
Clones of the K2 can be found, searching for 'barrel case' style computer cases. The difference between them all is mostly the logo slapped on front.
@Sarika Gaming Woooow you're even trying to take advantage of people's kindness to scam?

unless that’s what you’re meaning, then that’s just sad.
Honestly I really like the concept of the tube one, I feel like more PCs would be cool with that form factor of skinny and deep rather than tall
That temp and humidity gauge on case one was like $1, since I bought 20 of them from Amazon for $20, they actually seem to be calibrated properly, which was impressive.
2:57 where is link to Linus F Tips LonelyNans? Asking for science
My favorite weird cases were always Thermaltake's "Level 10" series. Highly impractical but were a definite eye-catcher before tempered glass and open-bench styles caught on.
Was hoping they'd show that one in this video. I actually have a Thermaltake Level 10 GT that I found on the side of the road in 2018. Cleaned it up and put my build inside it. It looks so beefy and the hot swappable drive bays are actually pretty practical, pretty roomy and easy to work in too. I have a rtx 3070 and 13700kf system in it now and I don't see myself ever switching to a different case because nothing turns heads like the level10 gt.
@@happysnackers6397 I almost convinced myself to buy an open box one at Microcenter, but missed my chance. When Thermaltake made a "Level 20" a couple years ago, and I was sad they chose to break the original aesthetic.
The In-Win "Frame" series was probably the "PC as a sculpture" peak, but the original level 10 was close. I also own a Cosmos that looked like a spaceship created by a usability purist. Then I remember one of my coworkers mistaking my NZXT 630 for a climate compressor.
Honestly love the new video format! this seemed like a passion project from the editor more than a LTT vid! xD
Love to see more corridor and LTT together ( No matter how small it is ). Two of my favorite channels.
GN already did the Tank, the K2, and IIRC the EDI, and the K1 reminds me of one Jay did a while back with green coolant (think he called it the symbiote build). I would like to see the Quadstellar
In the appreciation of South Park... GN did it! GN did it!
I usually just reuse the same beige tower I've had since the 90's. It always felt huge, since it has six 5-inch drive bays. Lately however, modern GPUs and CPU coolers have kinda made it somewhat tight in other dimension.
I got rid of my 90's case at some point, but I'm still using the case I bought in 03.
Next build I may get a new one.
There are dozens of us!
Im still rocking the Antec GamersGear NineHundred. That 200mm top fan is spinning after all those years.
I'm still rocking a triple window superflower 201s from 2002
What's neat about it is you can just remove the hardrive tray and basically fit any size card you want
never just thought about painting or vinyl wrapping the 90's case?
This video came at a perfect time since I just upgraded my whole setup case included. I thought the extra fan space was extravagant in my new case but these cases are on their own level.
9:20 "THERE AREN'T COUGARS IN PC CASES"

The tube case is just screaming for a monster energy can make over.
I watch your videos everyday Linus keep up the awesome work! Could you also possibly do you weird combinations of pc parts videos?

he does that
I honestly love Linus's segways. They always make me laugh and he never draws out the ad.
Loved the editing in this one, good job Alex!
Wow. I had to look it up. I got the Thermaltake View 27 for $61.99 (Newegg) and it had a rebate in January 2018 that priced it lower. Reasonably good case to build in and the thermals were okay despite only having about an inch of venting on the front panel.
(Edit: I know the view 37 is a revised model but still interesting to see the prices change when the last stock is bought by resellers.)
I own a view 37 the only downside is that when using the vertical mount for the GPU the acrylic panel ends up being too close to the GPU choking the fans
EITHER CRAZY HIGH OR CRAZY LOW DEPENDING ON THE ITEM. oops caps
i had the same case and have some good news for you, the tinted window on the front can be removed, and thats what i ended up doing and getting major improvement on airflow.
Hey what's up Thermaltake View owners' thread. I did my View 37 build at the end of 2020. I'm using the vertical GPU orientation; I got the Thermaltake riser cable and it works well. My GPU is one of the ASUS with the liquid cooling so the only fan on the GPU itself is a squirrel cage pusher, it works well.
@@shinigamidyo2622 I've had the idea of cutting some speedholes in the front acrylic panel with a laser cutter
I haven't laughed this hard with a LTT video in a long time. Great video. Props to the editor
Awesome! I like the tank and tube. Keep'em comin!
Really love the look of the motif monument.
I would love to see a build in the tank case. Looks fun to build in
Yeah and also I’m pretty sure the amount of people who are going to click on the video is going to be way more than the other cases’.

Most fun editing in quite a while it feel like! Loved it
Loved all the crazy cases. We need more and weirder. Maybe custom ones even?
Nah these cases are lame.
Yeah, but just remove those useless ssd brackets. Nobody likes to use slow sata ssd anyway.
I kinda miss thoses experimental cases from early 2000's that used to have many many expensions and stuff!
I kinda wanted the View 37 a few months ago because it was actually listed at around $130 US for a little bit.
But why do they design glass on top? That's where the air supposed to flow.
@@fynkozari9271 If I'm not mistaken there's no room to mount fans there, it's more of a showcase anyway so airflow isn't no. 1 on that case.
@@fynkozari9271 Yes, in most PC cases, they are designed to pull air in from the back and front and exhaust the hot air out the top (oversimplification of this). In this PC case, from what I gathered when I wanted the View 27 gullwing version, the case is designed for true negative air pressure where fresh air is blown in from the front and pulled out the back via the case fan, GPU, and PSU. In this negative pressure design, I suspect air within the case doesn't have time to fully heat up and rise to the top because fresh air is constantly flowing in then out the case.
love the editing style with this one!
Other than the price, that tank case is pretty badass. The EDI is also pretty cool.
My vote is for one of those. Primarily the tank or if you're going to do some cool modding the EDI.
Man, the tube and the spaceship are pretty rad. Maybe I'll design and 3d print a nice case for my "server" build rather than the route I was going with a sheet of plexiglass some standoffs and mounting it to the wall.
i have the Tube/barrel :P its pretty nice, (i bolted it to the wall) fitting a large RTC is a bit of an issue, but besides that its just perfect, plus its cheap, you can get those for like 50 bucks on aliexpress ;)
"WHAT ARE THEY THINKING?!?!"
PC Case Designer: I took something and build the weirdest shit to be exist
Really loved Linus's energy in this video.
Mentioning weird cases... The Corsair Obsidian 1000D has space for 17 120mm fans. I'd love to see you guys fit it out with industrial 120mm fans, sounds like a fun video idea
I recognize the sensor in the front of that tank case - it's a hygrometer / thermometer combo (measuring humidity) and years ago we bought a few off eBay for a buck each to put around the house 😂
I also have the exact same ones sitting around my room. Funny.
Alexandre is really killing it as an editor. Every time I think to myself "wow the editing on this is great" and look for the name at the end, it's them.
So is no one going to talk about that pink thing waved in our face asking for a bookmark?!
@Priya Gaming bot
I'm not sure I like it, it's almost overstimulating
Disagreed. Overedited as fuck w/ the editor trying to force their humor every second of the video
This video style is amazing I love the "having fun with it" vibe. XD and, great work by the editor!!!
We need more edits like this one
These are the best videos ever. I love these funky case videos!
I like the Motif Monument best, but that tank would have cool to have in the barracks when I was in the Navy. Definitely would have breezed through room inspections with that.
I suggest using the tank case! You could make a video from the unusual cases you have already built for CZcams channels. The pyramid, creeper, neon city, and purple stone cases were entertaining! I particularly enjoyed that VERY oversized case that Linus climbed into! I hope you all are doing well.
I'd get one of the vapor elements and install it in the gun tube so it constantly smoked while I gamed
Your original weird cases video is what got me watching your channel
The spaceship looks really cool, but I stuck with a more traditional case for my build, a Corsair 500 D Airflow, it's really a lot bigger case than I needed, but as it was my first build, I wanted to make sure a 360 AOI would fit across the top.
I for one am very fond of the non-standard-box cases and wish this video would have been released before I built my new pc in an open-concept case that's similar to the K1
The quadstellar is incredible and I am fighting my buyers remorse to the bitter end
I actually use the Deepcool Quadstellar case. I like how it looks, but I had to rig the glass so they would open and close using car door lock actuators. I painted mine white and use blue tinted tempered glass because Destiny 👍
Linus, I just love your segues. Like yeah
Cat owners are gonna have a cat-astrophe, 9:45
I've been using a 3D printed, open-air "Test Bench" for a few months now (close to the Yule Beast, but without a vertical Mobo setup). It's awesome. If you don't have kids or cats, I highly recommend an open-air setup lol. Great temps.
i have a wall mounted Thermaltake Core P3 without the glass and i agree , no kids or pets , open is a beauty, dust isnt as bad as people paint it to be
@@ThyCurly Yep! Dust hasn’t been an issue for me either. Always have wanted to try wall-mounting. Bet yours looks pretty sick. Haha
I would like to see a build in all of these cases~
A couple years ago, Thermaltake showed off this concept called the Distrocase 350P. The whole idea is it's an open air case but the entire back plate is one giant acrylic reservoir and pump combo for custom watercooling loops. Idk if it was ever actually released but it's still shown on their website.
From what I've heard I'm not sure I'd trust Thermaltake's products. Maybe they've gotten better over the years but I had a friend back in college that used Thermaltake and had a good number of leaks and seemed to refill his reservoir every couple of months (maybe that was just the state of liquid cooling back then, I've always stuck with air cooling).
I've had the View 37 for a few years now. It looks great, but the problem with it being acrylic means it's super prone to scratches. The static that builds up on the acrycilic just keeps the dust sticking no matter what. Looks cool still though!
I got a View 27 still in use. It is the little bit smaller Version of the View 37. I still love my Case. It looks like a modern Mac Pro should look. The Shape with the big Window is so nice. And it is perfect to maintain and upgrade - because of the Sidepanel which opens the Top and Side at the same Time. I love this Case. Its nice and has so many SSD-Mounting-Points. Thermaltake should produce it again. One of the best Cases ever.
@@baba_kaos I would certainly consider it on my next build but would prefer it to be glass just to minimise the scratches.
Linus’ OnlyFans segue is the strongest segue yet. Unlikely to be surpassed.
He is such a tease… He knows people want this…
Some amazing editor work. A++ effects
Oh that spaceship one looks a lot like the Dolphin/Orca/Beluga from Elite Dangerous. they even come in white with black windows by default. Those are my favorite ships, if I was gonna make a standalone ED build that'd be the case for sure.
came here to say this
who ever edited this video deserves a raise
I actually own that last one (view 37) and I can I will say that its a fantastic looking case in real life. Sadly the vertical GPU mount is problematic, with my 2080TI the card was too close to the glass and had cooling problems and with the 4090 I moved to there was NO WAY it was getting mounted vertically. The good news was that moving the card to direct motherboard mounting solved the cooling problems and TBH I think it ended up looking better that way anyway.
I own an Essenses X-treme Fear case and I am truly proud of it, it fits perfectly for this video but I love its design completely
i really want to see you guys build a pc in every one of these cases and then compare them
Of the cases shown, I'd probably choose the spaceship as my vote for the livestream build, followed by the tank.
If I was choosing one I'd buy over the others, I'd go with the ThermalTake with the curved side panel, but it doesn't look that different from a normal case to make a livestream that interesting. Too bad the panel's not glass though.
The Quadstellar is available in PC Building Simulator (1, at least, haven't played 2 yet) and I hate it.
gn has their own livestream oft he spaceship and i think the tank as well.
I love this new editing style it makes me like 2 times more focused
Same here. Gotta love ADHD
@@TheXshot ain’t even gonna lie I can’t watch some videos for more than 2 minutes without zoning out
6:45 as someone who enjoys creating music, I really appreciated the slicker background music during the duration of this case.
Some of the music you guys have been using has felt really hollow and "stock audio asset"-y. I know you guys might not notice what you did, but I really want this kind of style in future videos!
It really raises the production value! BGM is one of the few things I think you have left on the table in your quest to make superb high-quality content; I know you can do it!
ps(s): bonus points if you use a really good background BGM list in a reoccurring way through all future videos if you consider this change, this will create a "soundtrack" feeling to your videos.
it's the little things that count, and i wasn't able to put my finger on what quite felt missing to me until i saw this example of what it was like with it there.
double bonus points if you hire or reach out to someone who creates music for your BGM, custom tracks are always superior......
I would love to see Linus and team dedicate a space to design and play around whole room setup. they sure have all these gear to complete one and get their thoughts on what they would think a good setup would be.
I've been bummed that the View 37 got discontinued, with no prettier replacement waiting for it. The only similar cases still available are worse.
I want my top panels to not have any vents. However, modern cases with plain top panels are surprisingly rare. I like Thermaltake's thinking here though. If you don't want to install fans/rads at the top anyway, why not 1. make the top detachable, and better yet, 2. integrate it into a see-through side panel, so you can take it off in one go AND get a great look at the internal components even from standing hight.
So, my vote is actually on the View 37. I want to see more cases do this, especially if someone can manage to do it with tempered glass, while keeping the price reasonable.
In the CES coverage there was a cool looking case. It doesn't have the clear side and top panel, but it has no seam between the front and side panel. IMO it looks better.
Oh my God I SO hope this style of editing continues in future videos I love it so much. The Videos of you guys are enjoyable no doubt, but this is a flippin 1A showcase how much tasteful editing can add to an already solid Script. Well done from every side here.

If you do the tank case, you should source some older hardware to theme it. Something like the the Asus Z97 Sabertooth Mark 1 or the MSI Z270 Camo Squad (probably this one), the MSI Camo Squad GTX 1060 and some G.Skill Sniper X Digital Camo. Not a high performing build by any means but themed quite well.

You all should check out the Thermaltake MK1. Old case, been discontinued for years. But I still have my old i9 9900k system built into it as a server. The case is massive with spots for 4 200mm fans and was recent enough to have mounting options for water cooling. It is one of the few cases I've ever seen with a side panel fan, and a 200mm one at that! As bought the air flow isn't impressive, but with all the fan slots filled with slow moving fans, the air flow is amazing
