  • Under Ange Postecoglou, Spurs have gone from being one of the most difficult teams to watch in the Premier League to one of the most exciting in the competition, all in just a couple of months. In this video, Statman Dave takes a look at the tactics that are facilitating this change in style, explains how Harry Kane has been replaced and what the future could look like for Tottenham Hotspur.

Whilst Spurs' big money signings have generally failed, their youth recruitment (Sarr, Udogie, Bissouma, Van de Ven this summer, Porro) and especially the model they applied to Sarr and Udogie- loaning them back to their own clubs for a season to give them game time- previously applied with the signing of Dele, has been a masterstroke. The signing of Vicario was also bang on, at the moment it looks like they upgraded the goalkeeper position from the last few years with a goalkeeper capable of great saves and distribution quality. They will only get better over the period of this rebuild, and there will be down moments but it's a very interesting time to be a Spurs fan such as myself.

Has Sarr made a mistake yet this season? It's like he's surrounded by an aura that allows him to play mistake free football.
He's not too flashy and he's not get become overconfident, but he always seems to know where his next pass or dribble is going before he even receives the ball.
It's weird because if you look at him as a player, he's not exceptionally fast, quick or agile. Nor would I call him a technical wizard. He just understands the tactics the team is executing better than anybody else on the field and executes them perfectly nearly every time.
