That was a very beautiful rendition. This is from the musical Les Miserables. "Bring Him Home" is a very hard song to sing but Austin nailed it. He has a great voice for musical theatre songs.
This from one of my favorite plays Les Miserables. The song is about an older man singing about his daughters fiancee who's going to war and asking him to be protected. It's a tear jerker for sure. I saw it on Broadway 3x and Austin could have jumped right in. Outstanding performance by Austin. He's got lots of great stuff. He has a fun new song called "What's mine is hers and what's hers ain't mine. And another called Earn It.both outstanding originals. Jeremy as always great reaction and Kim thanks for requesting it.
There is a live version of this where the rest of Home Free sings background, it's from a concert.
I don't understandy why Austin Brown isn't some kind of superstar. The world is missing it !
This puzzles quite a lot of us. Much as I love Home Free, it has to be faced that being with them has not done him any favours. Labelling yourself a country singer/songwriter hasn't helped either - you can't walk down the street in Nashville for 2 minutes without tripping over several country singer/songwriters!

Thanks for reacting to this Jeremy. It's one of my favorites from Austin. Yes, they do have instruments in their some of their videos. Chris Chathan often plays guitar with Home Free, also they have collaborated with Texas Hill on several songs. They are awesome together.
Don't forget Save the World, with the producer Darren Rust on piano and Adam Rupp on synths. One of the most powerful songs on the last album. And in the latest single, Skull and Bones, Adam Chance plays guitar with Austin on mandolin.

My absolute favorite Austin Brown solo!
In my opinion (for what it's worth), Austin is one of the finest tenors in the world today in any genre. We like us a lyric tenor here in the UK and we produce some fine ones too, but for beauty of tone, technical control and emotional intelligence in interpretation, you'd have to go a long way to find a better.
He's also a talented songwriter (he and collabs wrote 5 tracks on Home Free's last album) and is currently turning them out at an incredible speed. Watch out for Everlasting Ground, due to be released very soon, an absolute stunner.
On his channel there are lots of covers, some with guitar accompaniment, including Unchained Melody with just under 14 million views! but there are also originals with proper MVs. Sebastien, who you saw here, is not just a very fine pianist but a great arranger and producer too. To hear both of them at their finest, check out Empty House, sent to Austin as a demo and turned into an incredible blues with full background. It might be too much for your kind heart lol but it's worth it.

This is an iconic song from Les Miserables. I saw that show on broadway 6 times and cried through various parts of it all 6 times including during this song. Austin did an amazing job on this performance, I really appreciated the emotion in his voice. Thanks for reacting to this! Local musicians accompany Austin in several videos songs - this an aria of considerable difficulty as Musical Theater goes. Sit back and be blown away !!!
Austin’s wheelhouse seems to be musical theater. He has a degree in this, and uses a very theatrical (voice and body) to his serious “Theater” songs. Tim seems to favor doo-wop, and older Rock. Chance does a lot of old “Folk” music, my musical roots of appreciation. Thankfully, they all blend with Rob and Adam to perfection.
I love Rob and Austin's opera aria, too. They can do pretty much anything they want to.

Austin has been on a roll lately. He is so in love with Amberly isn’t is unreal and he is constantly singing song and making up songs for her on TikTok. It’s awesome.
He has been releasing song left and right. And just recently Home Free did a triology; where I know Austin for sure wrote one of them maybe more.
He just wrote and released one called “what’s hers ain’t mine” that’s really cute!
Austin wrote all 3 of the triology he wrote-- Give Me A Sign after breaking up with Olena [ they had been together 5 year ] after meeting his new girl a couple of years ago he wrote Stargazer Lilies and MR to tell her and the rest of the world how he feels for her 💯❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
@@mettesrensen6116 In fact he met Amberly 6 years ago. They remained friends until 2020, when they became a couple, celebrating their 3rd anniversary a few months ago. You're absolutely right that he wrote Stargazer Lilies and Mr for her, as well as Save the World on the last album.

I saw the play Les Miz many (many) years ago and - truly - this song wasn't done as well as Austin's rendition. Sebastien Douyon's playing is marvelous - he keeps his eyes on Austin all the time to ensure his playing is matching the lyric. Austin has a new original out "Hers Ain't Mine" (lyric only, on his channel). It's topping the iTune charts in the UK and Australia. Austin plays piano on his original "If I Met You Now" (on his channel).

Born in the USA has guitar by Chance.
They very rarely use instruments the two I can think of they themselves play instruments are Born In The USA and Skull And Bones. All other times is when they have Chris Chatham play the guitar like in So Long Dixie Or Darren Rust play Piano like in Save The World or a collaboration with another artist like Texas Hill ,Maggie Baugh or Jeffrey East.

This piece is where you really see his musical theater training. I think this was the type of music he was singing while with the onboard cast on a cruise ship when Home Free came on as guest performers. He got along great with them and they recalled his enthusiasm and his wish to sing with them when Matt Atwood decided to leave a few months later. The rest is history, as they say. And I thank the goddess for that.
He was singing as featured singer in the bar the last time HF visited. I've always been a bit surprised that he would sing this in that job, since it's not really cabaret material! There is video of him singing Dock of the Bay on board ship, so I guess he was mostly singing standards. On previous cruises he had been part of the company of singers (video around of him singing Miss Otis Regrets - and dancing really well!) In fact Rob told Austin that Matt was thinking of leaving but they then left him to wait for 6 months - in Chicago, brrr - before they decided to make him audition again. I don't feel they treated him very well over that, and in fact until very recently Tim had never asked what Austin was doing in that 6 months (he was working as a waiter). They also told him that they only took him because he could read music lol, and because he wanted the job when no-one else did.

there is a TON of stuff where they use instruments. You haven't even gotten into the Sweet and Low Music Co. (Austin/Tim project with friends and family) stuff yet.
This song is from Les Miserables. This used to be part of Austin's regular set when he was doing show tunes on the cruise ships (this is how Home Free found him)
Austin Plays Piano as well ..... herein as well as other songs by these two .... Sebastian Beyoun' plays the accompaniment !
Austin sings 2 originals by Ressurecsis. Empty House and I Want Her Back. I think you will appreciate his artistry and it will be unlike what you’ve heard him sing before
Austin has a great channel...his version of unchained melody is super...also love Years in Heaven and Neon Moon. The guys also have another group that's not a cappella called Sweet 'N Low with Tim, Austin, and some other friends and you would surely enjoy their channel.
They have a few with instruments acoustic guitar on “born in the usa” and “so long dixie” and their newest “skull and bones” which has acoustic and mandolin
I think you'd really enjoy the "Country Rebel Church" songs that HF did. These were filmed live and included "It's a Great Day to Be Alive" & "Go Rest High on that Mountain".
