I agree with each of you guys but I guess I just got lucky. I talked to a few girls online during the Pandemic then I meet my fiancé. She’s closer to my age she’s from the city but grew up in the province. I’ve been to the Philippines a couple times since to see her. She has no close family same as me and we have everything in common. She received her PR visa so I’m bringing her to Canada to get married and be together.
Maybe you'll be one of the lucky ones. But many men have learned the hard way to not bring women back to the West, where those women can use the family court system to steal half or more of a man's assets, his income and his retirement.
Its best to live with her for at least 3 mo steady or longer before committing her to your country

Y'all are in Cebu, I've been here a week. I find the people are more kind and approachable than Manila. Bangkok was also great. Manila seems more modern and creature comforts, but Cebu is drawing me in!

The tragedy is where, just like women in the West, an average looking Filipina gets online and is told she's gorgeous by guys around the world. She's a hard "5" out of 10, but now thinks she's an 8 or 10. So now she dates a guy that's a 5 or 6 and secretly feels like she's settling for less than she deserves, even though this guy is objectively right at her SMV or even above. Eventually resentment and restlessness set in and she makes him miserable to the point he leaves or she pulls the ejection switch herself.
I’m in the phil’s ..I don’t see many drop dead gorgeous girls …yea the younger girls have a freshness to them but still they lack the sexiness and real appeal, as especially most are poor and uneducated. Although I will premise Filipina learn like no other in the eyes of modernity.

Guy's what you are talking about is not groundbreaking, but for some of us old guy's is refreshing! When I spent a large amount of time in the Phil"s in the early and mid 80's it was the same! At first as a young man you run amok with every girl that paid you interest! Yet as you aged and became wiser you became much more selective, back then you didn't have social media to deal with! It was boot's on the ground and face to face, most guy's never travelled outside Olongapo or Barrio! After trial by fire and wanting something different you push out past where 75 percent will go and you discover something completely different! A whole new world and it was amazing at that time! A pace of life that is very enjoyable and refreshing, a people that was very friendly and just great to be around! It is enjoyable to see your take on it in the more modern age, so I hope you keep us up to date on your experiences! Yet my biggest hope is you keep it real and never fall into the trap of clicks and likes for money! It sure seem's that is the way of thing's these days, selling your soul for money! These people deserve so much more than that, so if you think I enjoyed my time amongst the people of the Philippines you would be correct! Yet someone should be forthcoming with those travelling abroad that you face the same challenges, as anywhere on this little blue rock we call home!
We younger guys have it easier now with Tinder app for meeting singles very easily. So yeah I can see if I get over like 60 my mindset will change a lot but hopefully will be married and happy then.
I've been practically all over the Philippines, and if your only goal is to meet Filipina's then that is your problem. It's not going matter where you go. Try picking an area based on your interest first - I can imagine Dumaguete being an awesome place for learning and taking college classes - Siliman Univeristy offers a cool laid back atmosphere for that. If your intentions are ONLY to seek young filipinas, you will always come across as the creepy guy.

Been in Medellin Colombia for about 2years and gets boring too women there don't even talk to you in English you have to at least give them money for them to try to learn english and communicate with you. Unlike P.I that everyone knows English

Great interview, Gio. I've never seen Norwegian Paul before, he seems to be an interesting guy. I plan on coming to the Philippines later this year for vacation, but at 75 years old I will want to mostly lay on the beach and relax. Maybe a beautiful Filipina will bring me some drinks.

Reekay hit the nail on the head. Average looking Filipinas (in the Philippines) are finding out that they are considered exotic beauties in the U.S. and in Europe. Filipinas with CZcams channels, Facebook, TikTok, etc… are being messaged by hundreds or even thousands of men from outside of the Philippines. They basically have their choice of potential suitors overseas while in the Philippines they’re getting some, but not nearly as much attention. The competition is definitely picking up for the expats between expats.
I dunno. I'm having a field day in the Philippines. 20 days in Manila and now a week in Cebu. This is the easiest country to meet sweet and loving young women.

4 weeks to find a girl to take back? lol good luck pal. If you want to take a woman back, you have to spend a lot of time getting to know eachother and make a real connection. That means spending months there and choosing someone within 10 yrs of your own age. If you don't plan on doing that, you are sunk
Your chances of accomplishing this task is very slim as you lack the time required to get to know any Filipina that you will meet.
Filipinas are chameleons and will transform to what you tell her about the woman you want until you're hooked.

Gio I really have a hard time understanding why any American man would want to travel to the Philippines to find a woman. There are 2.2 million Filipina women in the US alone. The largest concentration of them are in places like California, Washington and Hawaii to name a few. I met my Filipina 37 years ago in California, although she was raised in Hawaii. We’ve been 36 years Kasal (married). Finding a good Pinay isn’t really hard here. Plus you don’t have the added burden of “ Utang na loob”. Anyway, I’m not trying to beat you up. That is a myth and a falsehood. There are many good women here. My wife and many other Filipina’s are as good or even better than any woman you can find there. Even my wife of 36 years will tell you the same. In-fact, my cousin married a Filipina nurse he met in 1977 that at Bellevue Hospital in New York City when he was a representative for Pfizer pharmaceutical. Unfortunately she died of cancer 5 years ago. So don’t tell me they’re too westernized. You don’t know what you’re talking about. There is no doubt you can find a good one there, but you can do the same here. Don’t allow your insecurities get the better of you. We raised to beautiful girls. Both college educated professionals like their mom. Both married with children.
I disagree with you @phroden. There are so many good Filipinas in the US. Most men looking for Filipinas in the Philippines are not financially capable of living a comfortable life in the US and men maybe turned off because these Filipino women in the US are financially stable already and better off than these men. I’m from the Philippines and was a graduate student in the US when I met my American husband of 28 years and we have two beautiful children.

The more outside the cities you are the less likely she'll have a career job. The job markets are in the cities.
This is not to say that you can't find a Filipina on her purpose outside of the city world but they are more scarce outside of the cities.
It's truly unpredictable and the world of dating in general is very unpredictable and subjective on circumstances. There are no rules or set guidelines to follow.
I made that mistake of having someone meet me at The airport but after three days I was able to say goodbye to her since we were not s match. Good advise to walk away from the hotel and stay out there f the malls.,😊

Thats a big misconception that you have to go out the city to find a good girl. Mostly hard working good girls are working in the big cities. Mostly province girls dont have jobs and stays at the internet all day long. I meet my girl at the coffee shop shes having coffee with her coworkers and i approach them had a friendly chats and the rest is history. When you find a good girl you find one thats it.

I can't imagine any 19 year old wanting anyone over 30 in most areas in the world. They are way better off with another partner in late teens early 20s.
If you want to snag a good Filipina, don't look in the Philippines. Go to a place where there are ample OFWs, and meet them there. They work. They work hard and 6 days a week, and they send their income home, keeping very little for themselves. I met my (eventual wife) in Hong Kong. I visited her province alone (without her) and met her family. I learned Tagalog. My theme tune is "If you wanna be happy for the rest of your life, never make a pretty woman your wife, from my personal point of view, get an ugly girl to marry you."
