Thanks for the video! I'd say to anyone looking into this, it's a great tool for simplistic bass lines and simpler time signatures. Would be a great option for pop/basic rock/country type genres. When you get to more complicated material (metal/prog) you really have to spend hours of editing to get everything to sound professional and it can be quite frustrating at times to do this manually. All in all though, I've found it to be a great tool, if for nothing else than giving me a quick backing track to help with the songwriting process for my more complicated material.
Agreed, I can’t get the tracker to pick up half the notes on a busy bass DI track and it’s super frustrating. I end up tossing the EZ bass because it ends up being hours of editing. Thought I was doing something wrong but sounds like others are having same issue.
I'm a huge EZ user. I have all the products and expansions that come with all the different products. I love the simplicity of the different instruments that are available. I'm looking forward to EZ bass making MIDI packs available.
I've been thinking of adding EZ Bass to my other Toontrax programs to do just what you have demonstrated. Good demo David, I will now purchase EZ Bass.
Although I was considering EZ Bass, due to your gentle and EZ Teaching, I am now totally sold on EZ Bass to add to my EZDrummer. It's a bit difficult for me with me to learn a new style (digital). I'm 67 years young and I was a killer on analogue recording. Of course I couldn't play Bass or Keys the way EZ does so when I (if ever)v get comfortable with digital, I could die a happy man.
Once again, Great info. I love Toontrack and Superior Drummer. More training on some of the Toontrack products would be Great! Thank you. Coming from a Bass Player they did a Great job with EZ BASS.
@@AndyCampbellMusic It sounds plastic. When you play with this it kills your own articulation.Mask your mistakes and make level the same everywhere. You don't play any more.It plays for you.You don't have skills in mixing bass EZBass will prevent you from learning. You will never learn. It takes all learning proses away.Like using EZDrummer. All is done there.Try to mix real drums and you will see it never sounds like EZDrummer.I use EZDrumer so i know that i don't play drums.I play EZDrummer. And i am ok with it.But i want sound of my bass and guitar from my fingers not a computer.
Very cool video. I think EZ bass is awesome for doing writing. The basses itself sounds great also. But I did exactly that recently. Exchanged a complete DI bass with EZ bass. What sounded a lot better and worked perfect with the tracker... But the original bass line was played with very long sustained notes and I got those rising note resonances and didn't find a way to get rid of them without making the bass sound dull. I seem to make something profoundly wrong :(
Hello Mr. David, do you know where is the pitch bend setup tool in EZ Bass. Works normally over midi keyboard, but only default 2 tones +/- It's nice to be your fun. Thanks. Greetings
I'm a good electric bassist but there's no way I can do a good acoustic bass sound. This could be a good way for me to make a demo using an acoustic bass sound when that's the sound I want.
Thank you so much for watching! I really appreciate your support! Be sure to check out my website for even more training. Also, a brand new home recording podcast is available www.homerecordingmadeeasy.com www.homerecordingmadeeasy.com/Podcast

Great suggestion!
Thanks, convinced me to buy it; would really like to see how it can connect to EZ Drummer 2.
Great!
Please don’t get it . Please don’t make the mistake I did.
@@TheShyArmyTV What do think is wrong with it?

@@TheShyArmyTV Explenation would be nice.I agree with you but you dont give any explenation what makes people confused.I did give explenation.
It plays fine with basic and easy bass lines. If its too fast (metal music) you will have alot of editing to do.
Makes sense. For me, I dont work much with metal music so EZ Bass works well for what I do
thank you
You're welcome
Yes please do more videos on ez bass
Thanks for watching!
Still need more improvement on this vst. It can't capture the hammer on & pull off but read as slide note if i changes audio to midi data.
Thanks for watching!
This is the issue I’m having.. I play a ton of hammer ins and pull off, and can’t get it to work
At first it looks amazing, but is it good enough for recording an actual studio album? Or it's only good for pre-production and some cheap demo? :)
You can absolutely use it on a studio album

Would love to see a video of an original piece put together from intro to ending with ezkeys, ezdrummer & ez bass, then mixed.
Thanks for the feedback. Maybe someone will do that at one point
Love ToonTrack products
They make great stuff for sure!

No I dont....sorry
Dave what is that intro music? It reminds me of 70's Kiss?
Honestly, I dont remember....LOL
Can you use it on the audio track where you recorded the bass?
yes, you can

Its a great VST and for a very reasonable price.
Just waiting for it to go on sale...
I think Sweetwater has a $30 off deal? You may want to check them out.
Does EZ Bass handle ARA or ARA2 so that w can use our DAW's chord track instead of the one in EZ Bass interface?
no idea. sorry
make loops, rex2 and sell them
