    Nice way of showing these tools at work - good job. Man, I wish I could have used these kind of things when I was a kid, but we had to learn the hard way in the 70's with a record player, and amp and a guitar. Just bought Superior Drummer, and I play a bit of keys, bass and guitar is my main, but I want the keys and bass plugins - so cheers for the demo - twas great.

    Are you using Reaper as your DAW? And which EZ Drummer “sounds” are you creating with?
    I’ve EZ Drummer II, and EZ Mix as well, and just added EZ Bass, and it’s a blast! They’re all stellar, actually.
    I’ve so many EZ Drummer “sound packs” and with EZ Mix and EZ Bass they all work seamlessly together and has been the best “bang for the buck” purchases I’ve made in a long while.
    Such great platforms for the Home Studio Musician too!
    Thanks again for the video! âœŒđŸŒ

    How Cool. I own both & love them. They have nailed the rapid song writing brick walls by creating attractive software that works well, preserves the necessary "feel" for songs that most of the tools out there lack. If I set up a track with a Superior Drummer 3 or EZD 2 with ezbass I can audition so many combinations without breaking stride. I don't have to hit stop or anything I can change stuff out, browsing through bass tracks on the fly. You can switch every 2 beats if you want or anytime you want & it figures out when to hand off and does so seamlessly. Same with EZ keys. But I got you with a search for "ezmix 2" because it's on sale & I'm trying to figure out if it's got midi packs with it or just an effects unit with multitrack?

    I took my guitar audio-and generated a bass line-spent the next few hours taking away ungodly subharmonic tones and slaps. I then came back to your video-ok-seems a little bit clearer, but a bass line generated from a guitar audio file was a major headache-unless I am doing something wrong. Still, your video is the best comprehensive take on using both EZ Bass and EZ Drummer.

    🙏 It would be nice to take part of a process of instrumentation that starts with an original part on guitar or piano. To se how you ”play” the bass and drums as to a song that you made on your main instrument. I never use a premade drumbeat to write a song. But I find it quite difficult to have the ezdrummer play the way I whant on my songs. But then Im not a drummer đŸ€“ and Im not much of a base player either now considering the ezbass.

    Let me first say that I truly like the EZ software, but I do think that the EzKeys is basically just advanced Dance-Ejay, where you really don't have any creative control to the level where I'd like it, so I use the instruments mainly as normal instruments - not using the builder/self-writing parts of the EZ libraries (Don't have keys, but I have superior drummer and Ez Bass)

    The problem with all the stuff besides drums, is your trying to write a song using IT, but what if you have a song written already, what good is any of this stuff? I found that i can never find a pattern that fits my feel, so either i force it to fit toontracks stuff, or I dont record it. I think the benfit of this stuff is way overblown

    • @nichttuntun3364

      @@nichttuntun3364 Are you able to play your own patterns, while still using the autchord function? A rhythm of one noted, the whole point of a virtual guitar is for it to play itself.

    • @nichttuntun3364
      @nichttuntun3364 Pƙed 3 lety

      @@waltergibbons422 can't answer that, as I'm not using it, as a keyboardist I never use pattern or auto function. I'm spending a lot of time learning left hand rhythms and 2 hand grooves. It is so much fun and you learn a lot about composition also.
      In general I'm completely annoyed by Toontrack. You are never able to play like a real bass with EZ Bass as they simply didn't sample the higher register notes on all strings. What a letdown for such an expensive instrument. Bringing out a new library all 3 months for another 75 euro is also a joke for me. Seems to be more important than getting things right from beginning.
      I'm only using Electric Bass from Steinberg now, it's a great value and everything and more was sampled here. The playability is awesome.
      EZ bass only is good for me to track badly recorded basses to get the midi notes to exchange them within a mixing session. As you can do that with other tools too, I wouldn't buy it again.

    • @waltergibbons422
      @waltergibbons422 Pƙed 3 lety

      @@nichttuntun3364 actualy im replying in wrong thread, i thought i was replying in thread on native instruments... lol. EZ bass is not very good, sorry to say. I was a big fan after the ez drummer stuff came out, but then ez piano and ez bass do not offer the same editing ability, in order to get something decent out of either, you would need eery single add one pack they offer, they really know how to charge. Im a fan but drums and superior drummer is what they do best.
