This tournament is very close to danger of being forgotten quickly and it had such high hopes. We need to see a special Quarterfinals and Semifinals round with a perfect final between the two best teams, so probably Spain vs Netherlands 2010 WC Final rematch or Germany vs Netherlands 1974 WC Final rematch. But i think we'll get a Germany England Final, england forced to wear their purple kits in the final.

Memphis Depay doet zijn best, maar is helaas niet de ultieme spits voor oranje. Donyell Malen heeft veel meer snelheid, diepte en scorend vermogen. Bij topsport en topcoaches hoort ook oncomfortabele keuzes durven maken als situaties zich aandienen of daarom vragen. Malen eerder brengen en Wout ook eerder. Dan is Dumfries niet voor niets aan het rennen en de bal hoog aan het voorgeven in de 16.
Memphis staat er niet alleen vanwege z'n (zweet)band met koeman. Wanneer je kijkt naar het gameplan en de rol die Memphis daarin heeft, is hij ook vaak belangrijk. Maar wanneer je woutje vanaf de start laat spelen met malen en gakpo aan beide zijden, zullen we hem mogelijk niet missen. Kan wel rumoer teweeg brengen in de groep, krijg je dat gedoe van 2012 😅

Romania were abject. Never even gave it a go in the second half. Very little pressurising of the Dutch. Surprised the panel were so easy on them.
